Unit-Wise Ranking of Inventory Control Techniques Used in Small Scale Cement Enterprises: A Small Scale Entrepreneurial Perspective

The present research divulges the different inventory control techniques used small scale cements enterprises operated by small scale entrepreneurs through the assistance of primary data collected from eight small scale cement enterprises operating in SIDCO & SICOP, under DIC (District Industries Center) in District Udhampur of Jammu & Kashmir State. The various inventory control techniques identified and quested for in the research were: Always Better Control (ABC), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), and Just-in-Time (JIT). The results of the ranking table quoted that Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) was awarded first rank by almost all the units representing overall mean score of 1.71, Always Better Control (ABC) was denoted by rank two repressing overall mean value as 2.00, Material Requirement Planning (MRP) was quoted rank three as depicted by its mean ranking (2.25), and Just-in-time (JIT) was accorded rank four (3.71) by almost all the small scale cements entrepreneurs/owners.

Persediaan menjadi sangat penting untuk melancarkan aktivitas proses produksi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menentukan lot sizing optimal dengan meminimalkan biaya persediaan. Untuk mendapatkan lot sizing optimal dengan membandingkan model lot sizing menggunakan Lot For Lot, Economic Order Quantity, Period Order Quantity  dan Algorithm Wagner Within berbasis Material Requirement Planning untuk mendapatkan biaya persediaan minimal. Dari hasil perhitungan dengan membandingkan model-model lot sizing Lot For Lot, Economic Order Quantity, Period Order Quantity dan Algorithm Wagner Within, ditunjukkan bahwa Algorithm Wagner Within memberikan  total  biaya persediaan  lebih minimal dengan  biaya perediaannya  sebesar  Rp. 927,600. dibandingkan teknik lot sizing lainnya.Kata kunci: Biaya Persediaan, Lot sizing, MRP

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemesanan bahan baku yang efisien, meminimalkan biaya persediaan bahan baku dan mengetahui metode alternatif  pengendalian persediaan bahan baku yang dapat digunakan oleh perusahaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di CV. Kotama Shoes yang beralamat di Jalan A.R. Hakim No. 112/206 C Medan, Sumatera Utara. Perusahaan ini bergerak di bidang produksi pembuatan sepatu kulit. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Material Requirement Planning (MRP) dengan menggunakan 3 (tiga) teknik yaitu Lot For Lot (LFL), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dan Period Order Quantity (POQ). Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara wawancara langsung kepada pemilik perusahaan dan melihat langsung kondisi di perusahaan yang datanya berhubungan dengan penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa metode MRP dengan teknik LFL, EOQ dan POQ efektif dalam menghemat biaya persediaan yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan. Biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan dengan metode perusahaan lebih besar dibandingkan dengan metode MRP teknik LFL, EOQ dan POQ.

The research discusses how To Compare Inventory Control Analysis With Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Method and Just In Time (JIT) Method To Minimize Inventory Costs At UD. Melati Jaya. This study discusses a comparative analysis of the Economic Order Quantity method and the Just In Time method to minimize inventory costs at UD. Jasmine jaya. The data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative method with comparative research that compares the Econimic Order Quantity (EOQ) method with the Just In Time (JIT) method to the cost efficiency at UD. Melati Jaya. The analysis results from the comparative calculation of inventory control show that the Just In Time Inventory Control method is more appropriate to be applied to Ud. Melati Jaya because the total cost of the inventory is smaller than the total cost of the inventory when using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method.

Analisis Perencanaan Kebutuhan Bahan Baku Sandal Spon Polos Menggunakan Metode Material Requirement Planning (MRP) Di Identic Footwear untuk membantu perusahaan dalam melakukan perencanaan kebutuhan bahan baku secara efektif dan efisien. Hasil dari perhitungan metode peramalan tersebut yang terpilih adalah metode peramalan Exponential Smoothing karena memiliki tingkat keakurasian yang tinggi. dengan Jadwal Induk Produksi diketahui kebutuhan untuk eva spon 12 mm sebanyak 32 lembar, teli webbing 1253 m, dan label merek 1566 sebanyak pieces. Perencanaan untuk kebutuhan bahan baku dengan metode MRP menggunakan dengan teknik lot sizing, dimana teknik-teknik lot sizing yang digunakan adalah teknik Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Periode Order Quantity (POQ), dan Lot For Lot (LFL). Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan yang dilakukan penulis, teknik Periode Order Quantity (POQ) menghasilkan total biaya persediaan yang paling kecil dengan total biaya persediaann eva spon 12 mm Rp. 451.539, tali webbing Rp. 288.315, dan label merek Rp. 187.519.

Permintaan akan tenaga listrik yang semakin meningkat membutuhkan persediaan bahan bakar dan material fast moving yang cukup sebagai bahan baku utama dalam penyediaan tenaga listrik. MRP suatu teknik atau prosedur logis untuk menterjemahkan Jadwal Induk Produksi (JIP) dari barang jadi atau end item menjadi kebutuhan bersih untuk beberapa komponen yang dibutuhkan untuk mengimplementasikan JIP. PT PLN (Persero) Pusat Listrik Masohi dalam melakukan permintaan bahan bakar untuk pembangkit listrik dilakukan secara bulanan dan dilakukan pemantauan secara online perhari dimana diperlukan ketepatan pelaporan dan penyediaan bahan bakar untuk penyediaan tenaga listrik yang dinamis. Kebutuhan bahan baku untuk produksi tenaga listrik PT PLN (Persero) Pusat Listrik Masohi telah menggunakan pendekatan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dalam proses pengadaan material bahan baku. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil penggunaaan Metode lot sizing Lot-For-Lot, Economic Order Quantity, Part Period Balancing yang optimal untuk digunakan pada Pusat Listrik Masohi adalah Part Period Balancing. Dengan menggunakan metode Part Period Balancing, perusahaan dapat   mengurangi   biaya   persediaan   sebesar   Rp 1,739,053,883,- , atau sebesar 2,88 % dari total biaya dari metode perusahaan.

This company is based on the job order to plan and develop the future company to its business strategy become mass production. In process production, the company always faces problems in the row material supply. If the row material supply is saved in long time period and there is bulking in storage it can make the rattans will be under level quality. The purpose of this research is giving information about the choosing methods of planning, controlling the row material supply with differ between Just in Time (JIT) method with Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) to minimize inventory value. The result of from chosen method for the planning of inventory control of raw material. Total Inventory Cost (TIC) which in it there are three element of it expense of that is expense of purchasing, expense of ordering, and also stock holding cost got TIC for the Method of Just in Time (JIT) period 13 to Rp233.129.629,71. While for the Method of Economic Order of Quantity (EOQ) at period 13 to Rp234,171,969.21. Calculation of Total Inventory Cost (TIC) as a whole ( period of time 1 year) by applying Method of Just In Time ( JIT) it can be seen Totalize Inventory Cost (TIC) Rp5,012,483,943.59 while by applying Economic Order of Quantity (EOQ) from Total of Inventory Cost (TIC) Rp518,088,399.86. Becoming method planning of inventory control the selected method of Just In Time (JIT) with thrift equal to Rp5,604,456.27.

CV. restu Ibu merupakan salah satu industri furniture di Kabupaten Gresik yang mengolah kayu jati menjadi aneka meubel. Meubel yang diproduksi adalah pintu, meja, kursi, almari dan kusen. Sistem pengendalian bahan baku yang tidak terstruktur menjadi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh perusahaan. Metode yang digunakan perusahaan saat ini dalam pengelolaan bahan baku hanya menggunakan perhitungan konvensional tanpa melakukan suatu peramalan atau perencanaan yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan metode Lot Sizing yang efektif diterapkan perusahaan dalam perencanaan bahan baku untuk mengetahui perbandingan total persediaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Material Requirement Planning (MRP). Metode Material Requirement Planning(MRP) digunakan dengan menggunakan dua metode Lot Sizing yang berbeda yaitu metode Lot For Lot dan Lot Economic Order Quantity. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode peramalan dekomposisi merupakan metode peramalan yang memiliki tingkat kesalahan peramalan terkecil yaitu dengan nilai MSD produk pintu 23.1989,kursi 33.4377, almari 23.0874, meja 23.0874, dan kusen 12.4765.  Perencanaan kebutuhan bahan baku yang dibuat berdasarkan hasil peramalan permintaan produk di CV. Restu Ibu menunjukkan teknik Lot Size terbaik adalah Lot For Lot. Teknik Lot For Lotmenghasilkan biaya persediaan terendah sebesar Rp2,563,992dibandingkan dengan teknik Lot Economic Order Quantity yang menghasilkan biaya sebesar Rp3,169,394.

<p>The object of this study is the inventory system of manufacturing companies with sock products in Tangerang, Banten. Types of socks produced are plain white socks, black socks, and small socks. This study aims to determine the description of the planning and control of raw material inventory and find out how much raw materials to be prepared as well as the total cost of production produced by applying the method of Material Requirement Planning from the production process. In its production activities, the company uses 4 main raw materials making white socks namely Polyester White yarn, Spandex, Nylon, and Rubber. In one day, production produces 3 dozen socks. The raw materials used are 1 cone yarn for 2.5 dozen. So to produce 3 dozen socks a day, it takes 1.2 cone threads. From the analysis, it is known that the booking fee is Rp.28000 per message and the storage fee is Rp.2000 per unit per year. Thus the value of economic needs or Economic Order Quantity generated is 157 units. Thus, for Polyester White yarn material (75%) requires 47.1 cones, Spandex yarn (15%) requires 9,42 cones, nylon yarn (5%) and rubber yarn (5%) equally require 3.14 cone. Set up fee Rp.156586 while the storage fee Rp.157000 so the total cost Rp.313586.</p><p>Keywords: Socks, Material Requirement Planning, Economic Quantity</p>

The system that is currently running in recording inventory at PT Berlina Tbk Tangerang is considered ineffective and efficient because it still uses paper and the process of inputting and recapping goods data is semi-computerized in Microsoft Excel. which causes problems, namely too much stock of goods so that it increases the load in the warehouse and too little stock of goods which results in an exhaustion of stock in the warehouse. To solve this problem, we need an inventory control information system. The method of analysis uses the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method. For the system design process using sublime as the writing language and programming PHP, and XAMPP as localhost, the database uses MySQL. This study aims to design an inventory control system in the HRD department at PT Berlina Tbk Tangerang, and to make it easier for the HRD Department to input and create inventory reports. With this research, it can produce an inventory control system design that is more effective and efficient and can find out the storage costs in the warehouse. From the calculation of the EOQ method, it is found that it is 20% smaller than the previous storage and the total cost of ordering in a year is 2x orders. Thus, it means that there is a very real difference between the inventory policies implemented by the company and the EOQ method.
