It was found that in the region of the percolation threshold, depending on the dominance of one or another conduction mechanism, the temperature dependence of the specific volume resistivity ρ(Т) of the polymer composite based on a matrix of ethylene vinyl acetate is significantly transformed. With an increase in the CB content, there is a decrease by several orders of magnitude in the maximum value of the relative resistivity ρ(Т)max/ρ20 in its temperature dependence. Peroxide crosslinking of matrix macromolecules leads to a change in the nature of the temperature dependence of resistivity.

A significant difference was found in the temperature dependences of the resistivity of a carbon-containing polymer composite based on ethylene-vinyl acetate and the same composite saturated with peroxide. The presence of a sufficiently clear correlation between the characteristic points on the temperature dependence of the resistivity and on the curves of the differential scanning calorimetry was established.

Poly(ethylene- co-vinyl acetate- co-carbon monoxide) (EVACO)/halloysite nanotube (HNT) nanocomposite films were solution cast. Dispersion of HNTs in the matrix was analyzed by elemental mapping and the role of HNTs on crystallizability, flammability and thermal, mechanical, and electrical properties of the polymer was evaluated. The nature of interaction between the EVACO matrix and HNTs was studied using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The highest tensile strength was observed for the composite with 1% filler loading, whereas the highest crystallinity was observed for that with 3% filler loading. The decay in the tensile properties at higher filler loading was due to agglomeration of HNTs and debonding of polymer–filler interface. The electrical volume resistivity of the composites decreased with HNT loading because of the ionic charge transfer. The direct current electrical resistivity study of the composites proves that the addition of HNT can improve the antistatic properties of the polymer.

The effect of the content of vinyl acetate groups in ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer on the properties of polymer composite based on low density polyethylene and polyamide-6 was studied. Ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing less vinyl acetate groups (10–14 wt.%) has a positive compatibility effect on polymer composite than ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing 21–30 wt.% vinyl acetate groups. The polymer composites of LDPE, PA-6, and EVA containing 10–14 wt.% vinyl acetate groups possess the ability of biodegradation. The physical-mechanical properties of sample and molecular mass reduce after 28 days of incubation.
