São comentados conceitos centrais de Bourdieu como campo social e habitus de classe bem como o de hegemonia de Antonio Gramsci, verificando-se a presença de elementos que permitem interrelacionar seus conceitos, ainda que os dois autores tenham orientações teóricas díspares, abrindo novas perspectivas de análise.

In education, the areas of critical policy studies, critical cultural studies, and critical curriculum studies all owe a good deal to a number of people. Among them are Paulo Freire, Raymond Williams, Pierre Bourdieu, Basil Bernstein, and Antonio Gramsci. Yet no such listing would be complete without the inclusion of Stuart Hall. The two books I discuss in this essay provide us with important parts of the reasons many people continue to find in his work—and his life—the kinds of analyses and commitments that point their own work in more substantive, nuanced, and satisfying directions. In many ways, his writings and his life provide a model for what I have called the critical scholar/activist in education.

This study addresses the role and policies of Libera Sport, an Italian nongovernmental civil society organization that fights against the Italian mafia groups through sports. On the one hand, this article reinterprets and applies the cultural hegemony theory of Antonio Gramsci both to the Mafia and Libera Sport. On the other hand, habitus and cultural capital notions of Pierre Bourdieu are used to express the struggle between the Mafia and Libera Sport. This study demonstrates how the Mafia and anti-Mafia movement intersect in the “accumulation of actions” and create the “clash of habitus”. I argue that Libera Sport can realize its goals only if the clash of habitus is terminated by demolishing the institutionalized cultural capital of the Mafia and constituting its own cultural capital, which has not yet been institutionalized. During this reformative process, sports become a significant complementary anti-Mafia policy tool.

The Village

This paper provides us with an understanding of Bourdieu's theory. How the tolerance between Muslims and Hinduism comes as a religion that upholds the values of tolerance. The Islam and Hinduism communities of Lingsar are able to fortify and form harmony and even become a direction for religions outside the village of Lingsar that still form a harmony between both communities of Islam and Hindu. In Lingsar village there are two different Islam and Hindu religious communities but in their daily life they are able to create a peaceful and harmonious life. Thus Lingsar Village should be used as a village that maintains tolerance in religious attitude. The study looked at Bourdeiu's viewpoint of habitus, ranging from the concept of harmony to society, the advent of Islam and Hinduism in Lombok, and the harmonious relation between Islam and Hinduism in the ritual frame and festival of the show.

Iman Budhi Santosa (IBS) di arena sastra Yogyakarta dikenal sebagai penyair legitimet, baik dipandang dari kualitas karya maupun konsekrasi dalam dunia sastra. Posisi IBS berkaitan erat dengan Persada Studi Klub (PSK), komunitas sastra yang dibimbing oleh Umbu Landu Paranggi. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji strategi IBS dalam mencapai posisi saat ini. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi IBS dalam mencapai posisi penyair saat ini dengan menggunakan teori sosiologi Pierre Bourdieu. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif. Dari hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa IBS cenderung meng-gunakan strategi simbolik dalam pencapaiannya sebagai penyair dan posisinya sebagai pengasuh para penulis.Iman Budhi Santosa (IBS) in Yogyakarta literary arena known as a legitimate poet, either seen from his works quality or his consecration in the literary world. IBS position is closely related to Persada Studi Club (PSK), which is guided by Umbu Landu Paranggi. This study investigates the IBS strategy in achieving his current position. The research aims to find out IBS strategy in achieving the poet current position by using Pierre Bourdieu sociology theory. The research is a descriptive study. The analysis shows that IBS tends to use symbolic strategy in his achievement as a poet and his position as a tutor for writers.
