Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan model permainan untuk pembelajaran teknik dasar bola basket di sekolah menengah pertama. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Pengembangan produk model permainan untuk pembelajaran teknik dasar bola basket di sekolah menengah pertama dilakukan dalam tujuh tahapan, yaitu: (1) pengumpulan hasil riset dan informasi, (2) analisis terhadap produk yang akan dikembangkan, (3) mengembangkan produk awal, (4) validasi ahli, (5) uji coba skala kecil dan revisi, (6) uji coba skala besar dan revisi, dan (7) pembuatan produk final. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak sekolah menengah pertama. Uji coba skala kecil dilakukan terhadap 25 siswa SMP N 4 Pandak. Uji coba skala besar dilakukan terhadap 56 siswa SMP N 1 Pandak dan SMP N 3 Pandak. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu: (1) pedoman wawancara, dan (2) pedoman observasi pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini berupa model permainan untuk pembelajaran teknik dasar bola basket di sekolah menengah pertama yang berisikan sembilan permainan, yaitu: (1) Lempar Nama, (2) Lempar Target, (3) Lempar Gerak, (4) Fun Dribbling, (5) Target Dribbling, (6) Kejar Mengejar, (7) Tembak Tongkat, (8) Rintang Tali, dan (9) Happy Game. Dari hasil penilaian para ahli dan guru, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa model permainan yang disusun sangat sesuai dengan karakteristik serta pertumbuhan dan perkembangan teknik dasar pada anak sekolah menengah pertama.Kata Kunci: permainan, teknik dasar, bola basket Developing Game Models for Basketball Basic Technique Learning in Junior High School AbstractThe research aims to create game models for basketball basic learning technique in Junior High School. The research approach used is Research and Development. The development of the game model products for basketball basic technique learning process in Junior High School was devided into seven steps: (1) collecting research result and information, (2) products development analysis, (3) primary product development, (4) expert validation, (5) small-scale testing and revision, (6) large-scale testing and revision, and (7) creating final product. The research subjects are Junior High School students. The small-scale testing involved 25 students of SMPN 4 Pandak.  The main field test involved 56 students of SMPN 1 Pandak and SMPN 3 Pandak. The data collecting instruments are: (1) interview and (2) learning observation. The data analysis techniques employed are descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative techniques. The research results are game models for basketball basic learning technique in Junior High School. There are nine game models: (1) Name Throw, (2) Target Throw, (3) Moving Throw, (4) Fun Dribbling, (5) Target Dribbling, (6) Tag Game, (7) Stick Shooting, (8) Rope Barricad, and (9) Happy Game. From the judgement result of the experts and teachers it can be concluded that the game models are very suitable for Junior High School students characteristics and also their growth and development on the basic techniques.Keywords: games, basic technique, basketball

This study is about the String Ensemble Learning in Extracurricular at SMK MethodistCharles Wesley Medan. The purpose of learning is to know the learning process of stringensemble extracurricular, knowing in teaching methods and materials string ensemble, knowingthe learning ability of ensembles extracurricular participant, and to identify constraints stringensemble extracurricular teaching at SMK Methodist Charles Wesley Medan.The study is based on theoretical foundation to explain the theory of learning, thelearning component, understanding ability, sense of ensemble, string ensemble understanding, andextracurricular activities.This study will take a place in Jalan Padang Golf (In), Central Business District BlockCC-DD Polonia, Medan Polonia. This study uses descriptive qualitative research, observation,interviews, documentation and literature review. The samples are part of the population that isabout to be investigated, which in this study were teachers and all students who take the stringensemble extracurricular activities are 15 students and 1 teacher.Once the entire data has been collected, then analyzed to answer all the questions ofthe study. The learning process is carried out for 60 minutes, the time used to explain the theory isa 15-minute and 45-minute practice. The implementation stage string ensemble learning studentswho take these activities are all students in both the junior high school students Methodist CharlesWesley, the high school students of Charles Wesley Methodist School, and SMK Methodist CharlesWesley were merged into a single string ensemble group.In the ensemble learning process swipe at SMK Methodist Charles Wesley Medanmaterial used is a script of classical music such as Baroque and Rokoko, Romantic, Classical andContemporary Classical. The obstacles in the form of incomplete facilities, differences in levels ofstudent proficiency, and student attendance in a regular schedule that already exists. Students canbe said to be capable of if the students can play an instrument properly, in accordance with goodtechnique, mastering the material well, and can play with a harmonious ensemble.

Objective: To explore the characteristics and its relevant factors of learning engagement among high school students in economically developed areas in China. Methods: 808 high school students in Guangdong Province were selected by stratified cluster sampling. They were investigated with Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-Student-Chinese Version (UWES-S-CV), Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (ASES), Interpersonal Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale (ICDS), Short-Form Egna Minnen AV Barndoms Uppprostran (s-EMBU), Emotional Support Questionnaire for Middle School Students to Understand Teachers (ESQUT) and a self-compiled  general personal information questionnaire. Results: ⑴ The total score of UWES-S-CV, ASES, ICDS and the scores of three dimensions in UWES-S-CV, two subscales of ASES and four dimensions of ICDS, as well as the mother overprotection of s-EMBU were at the medium level. The total score of ESQUT and its four dimensions were at the medium high level. The scores of father’s and mother’s warmth of s-EMBU were at the high level, while the score of father’ negation, mother's negation and father's overprotection were at the low level. ⑵ Multivariate stepwise linear regression analysis showed that 12 factors such as student origin, school category, class category, learning interest, the teaching method used most commonly, mother's education level, learning behavior self-efficacy, learning ability self-efficacy, father's warmth, mother's warmth, care and encouragement were positively correlated with the total score of UWES-S-CV (β=.120~.433, all P<.01), while grade, family economic status, self-rated learning burden, communication and making friends, father’s negation and mother’s negation were negatively correlated with the total score of UWES-S-CV (β=-. 073~ -. 407, all P <. 05). Conclusion The learning engagement among high school students needs to be improved. Social environment, family rearing style, school education and teaching style, as well as individual factors may be the main influencing factors of high school students' learning engagement.

<p><em>The legislation System of national education No. 20 Year 2003 about education standards consist of standard content, processes, the competence of graduates, educational personnel, infrastructure, management, financing and assessment of education.</em></p><p><em>Standards of competence and standard of graduates, Graduates in Vocational secondary schools are expected to have the ability to build Standard and competence of graduates of the creative, and innovatively in decision making. The reality of the situation of vocational high school graduates do not meet the standard of competence of Graduates, because the existence of limited practical tools so that the experiment also rarely do. </em></p><p><em>The purpose of the study is to describe the practicality, and the effectiveness of the implementation of the model of learning ability-oriented design and conduct experiments to practice critical thinking skills of students of SMK.</em></p><p><em>As for the approach of this study is a descriptive qualitative. Based on the results of the implementation of the developed learning the real device, it can be concluded that the ability of the design-oriented learning and experimentation to train creative and critical thinking skills a valid, practical, effective, and can enhance critical thinking skills and creative as well as achieving perfection results of student learning. Cultural awareness is the basis of communication, and it includes our own cultural values, beliefs and the ability to perceive the world. When students learn English and communicate with people from English culture, cultural awareness becomes very important. Meanwhile, National English Curriculum Standards for General High School puts cultural awareness in the key position of the Core Competencies and Values of English subjects. At present, the academic research and analysis on the Core Competencies and Values of English mainly focus on the language ability, learning ability and students’ learning motivation.This paper intends to explore the cultivation of high school students’ English cultural awareness through qualitative research and literature collation and there are 5 parts totally in this paper. The first part is the introduction, introducing the background of cultural consciousness and the significance of research. The second part is a literature review, analyzing the previous opinions both domestically and internationally. The third part is a review of cultural consciousness, summarizing the theory, historical development and main genres of cultural consciousness. The fourth part is the exploration of the cultivation of cultural awareness, including the requirements, the problems and methods of the cultivation of cultural awareness in high school English teaching. The fifth part is the conclusion, which advocates the cultivation of cultural consciousness and the development of English subject through the summary and reflection.The significance of this paper lies in the majority of teachers to create a harmonious  teaching environment, facilitate the students’ cultural awareness, improve high school students’ cultural understanding and cultural awareness, as well as improve high school students’ English discipline Core Competencies and Values so that it could benefit the development of English in our country.
