The definition of a concept is something essential in mathematical activity.Concerning the polygon definition, some researchers criticize textbook authors who define polygon as a flat region, instead of defining it as a line.In this context, this research aimed to analyze historical, epistemological and didactic elements on the definition of polygon. Thus, it made an Institutional Analysis, based on the concepts of the Anthropological Theory of Didactic, on The Elements, specific books of Geometry, ParâmetrosCurriculares Nacionais, Base Nacional Comum Curricular and a textbook of mathematics for the 6th year. Thus, it concluded that The Elements and the textbook adopt the polygon conception as a flat region, the current references as a line and official documents are indifferent.

AbstractRonald Coase detested ‘blackboard economics’ and as a result was often criticized for being ‘against theory’. Coase has also been criticized for being overly descriptive in his institutional analysis. Here, I claim that Coase was both theoretical and interested in hypothesis testing. In order to do Coasean analysis, however, it is necessary to analyse a subject matter at the deep transaction level, given the definition of transaction costs. The rich level of detail required may give the impression of an absence of theory or testing. Here, I provide a number of real farm examples and contrast them with blackboard farm economics to make this point.

The article represent’s the studying of scientific works of foreign and domestic scientists, who have handled the development and peculiarities of the organization of entrepreneurship. Scientists, including author of the study, tend to believe that entrepreneurship is a manifestation of economic freedom of the person, who has free choice and the ability to manage their own employment so that they could achieve the greatest success. The main purpose of this study is exploring and systematization of knowledge about entrepreneurship. The methodology of this study is a historical approach to the research topic. The point of this approach is that it is necessary to explore the historical development of the term “entrepreneurship”. As a result of the study, it was found that six main theories of entrepreneurship should be noted, which examine the essence of entrepreneurship from different points of view. The study also presents the main psychological traits which entrepreneur should have. The article identified four social contexts that indicate the entrepreneurial potential of the personality. Anthropological theory indicates that the personality is influenced by social and cultural factors. Resource-based entrepreneurship theory emphasizes the importance of external and internal resources in the formation of an entrepreneur as a subject of economic performance. Considering the historical formation of the term “entrepreneurship” it is established that the first definition of this term was recorded in the 12th century, but in the main economists, scientists and entrepreneurs focused on this phenomenon since the 18th century and until now that issue remains relevant and requires constant systematization of knowledge about it.

In this article, we present the Knowledge Probability in official high school documents, as well as in a textbook approved by the PNLD 2015. This research is based on the analysis of a reference epistemological model and aims to observe the incompleteness in the approach to the concept of Probability. Thus, we will discuss, according to the Anthropological Theory of Didactic, how these institutions present their mathematical organizations for the teaching of this knowledge, about their different levels of didactic co-determination. We intend to investigate the hypothesis that it is necessary to present to the teachers didactic sequences that excel by the teaching of Probability in an integrated way.

1. The definition of “normal” stars in spectral classification changes with time; at the time of the publication of theYerkes Spectral Atlasthe term “normal” was applied to stars whose spectra could be fitted smoothly into a two-dimensional array. Thus, at that time, weak-lined spectra (RR Lyrae and HD 140283) would have been considered peculiar. At the present time we would tend to classify such spectra as “normal”—in a more complicated classification scheme which would have a parameter varying with metallic-line intensity within a specific spectral subdivision.
