Optical networks are bandwidth efficient networks are used for long haul communication providing seamless data transfer. For high speed data transmission in open space between different satellites, Inter-satellite Optical wireless communication (IsOWC) is widely used .In this paper we have evaluated the performance of IsOWC communication link for high speed data transmission .The performance of the system is evaluated on the basis of qualitative parameters such as Q-factor and BER using optisystem simulator.

Abstract In order to achieve large capacity inter-satellite communication, optical wireless communication (OWC) is emerging as a promising area of research amongst the academic and research groups. While radio over fiber (ROF) and advanced modulation technique is considered to be a key enabling technology in the development of OWC based access networks for high-speed data transmission. This paper has proposed a novel ROF based system model using OWC for long haul high data rate applications. This system is designed using differential quadrature phase shift keying (DQPSK) through inter-satellite optical wireless communication (IsOWC) channel. The verification of the performance is performed at bit rates of 100 and 200 Gbps over a space distance range up to 1000 to 50000 km under different transmitted power. The simulative investigation has been carried out in terms of important parameters like BER, Q-factor and eye diagrams.

AbstractIn this paper authors have studied the error performance of an ISI compensating modulation technique called phase sampled RZ-GMSK. The numerical results are derived suitably for optical wireless back-haul networks under log-normal turbulence fading. It is seen that the proposed modulation technique outperforms other techniques at higher turbulence and for high speed data transmission.

AbstractTransmission of data between satellites has been revolutionized via the use of Inter-satellite optical wireless communication (Is-OWC). In this work, we evaluate the validation of high speed and long reach Is-OWC system suing return-zero encoding and wavelength division multiplexing. Two channels, each carrying 10 Gbps of information transmits data on Is-OWC link of 2200 Km length. The performance of the proposed system is investigates in terms of bit-error rate, Q-factor and eye patterns.
