LANGUAGE NOTE | Document text in English; abstract also in Chinese. The implementation of Physical Education homework (PEHW) is new in Hong Kong. We examined the perception differences between a) parents and students; b) boys and girls towards PEHW in a primary school. Ninety students and 56 parents responded to a questionnaire after the completion of 1-week structured or unstructured compulsory PEHW daily which included aerobic, muscular and flexibility workout. T-test results showed that the students stated significantly lower levels of agreement than their parents regarding enjoyment of doing PEHW and the further organization of different PEHWs in school. No significant perception differences were reported between boys and girls towards the PEHW (p>0.05). Lack of time is the most frequently reason reported by the students and their parents as their intrapersonal barrier to participate in PEHW. Some incentives were suggested to promote the participation of PEHW. The present study suggests implementing PEHW with a reward scheme in Hong Kong. 小學四至六年級的學生完成一週強制性體育家課後,九十名學生和五十六名家長交回問卷回收率分別達94.2%和51.9%。T形檢驗結果顯示家長較學生贊成學校繼續組織及推行不同類型的體育家課。男女學童對體育家課的接受程度和各方面的反應是無明顯分別的。在開放式問題中,時間不足是最對學生參與體育家課的最大個人障礙。最後有多於三分之一的學生完成了餘下三週非強制性的體育家課。提議體育家課與獎勵計劃一起推行。

LANGUAGE NOTE | Document text in English; abstract also in Chinese. Physical education in Hong Kong has gone through considerable changes over the past 50 years. Still, the pace and the status were relatively slower and lower compared with other subjects. The 1990s saw a gradual shift from sport-oriented to health-focused sports culture. This shift was chiefly highlighted when physical education became one of the eight key learning areas in the millennium year education reform. This article summarizes the major changes over the past 50 years of school physical education in Hong Kong, and anticipates the positioning of the future physical education. 香港的體育在過去的五十年經歷了相當大的變化。不過,變化的步伐相比其他科目還是較慢,其地位也相對較低。從九十年代的競技運動面向逐漸轉向較注重健康的體育文化。這種轉變,促使體育在千禧年的教育改革之中成為了八大學習領域之一。本文總結這五十年來的香港體育的轉變情況,並為體育教育的未來定位作一展望。

The research aim is to identify differences in body composition between physically inactive persons and students of the Faculty of sport and physical education. The sampleconsisted of 32 people (16 men and 16 women) with an average age of 24.6 ± 3.3 years. Body composition measurements were performed using bioelectrical impedance (BIA)method using an electric scale, bioimpedance (In Body 720). The MANOVA and t-test results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in body compositionbetween physically inactive persons and students of the Faculty of sport and physical education (F = 0.778; p = 0.595). The obtained results could indicate the shortcomings ofthe curriculum at the Faculty of sport and physical education, whose contents, intensity and/or volume do not sufficiently stimulate the student body, as well as the failure ofstudents to fulfil extracurricular obligations and their poor health habits.

LANGUAGE NOTE | Document text in English; abstract in Chinese only.本文通過分析和比較香港與廣州的體育課程,建議香港未來的體育課程,應作出若干改革。香港與廣州的體育課程,有頗多相異之處。在內容方面,香港的體育課程,缺少了中國傳統體育項目。在課程組織和評鑑方面,香港的課程給予校本發展的空間較大。一般來説,香港課程的深層價值取向,在於協助學生養成個人的積極生活模式;然而,執行的過程,卻多偏重學生運動技能的提升。香港未來體育課程發展在「一國兩制」、「五十年不變」的原則下,應該「改革」而非「革命」;它應有四個路向:1〕發展「全民運動」;2〕促進學生的體適能;3〕考慮加入中國傳統體育項目;4〕改善課程的組織和設計。香港體育課程可貴之處在於其校本化。校本課程要求敎師同時扮演執行者、設計者和發展者的角色;這一點是香港體育課程值得保留的地方。

ABSTRACTThe background of this research is based on the observation found in primary school of Angkasa Surabaya that the study conducted by teachers grade 1 still monotonous and less innovative. The material taught is about the experience of going to the market. The learning method in accordance with the material that is a field method. Therefore, this study aims to: (1) to analyze the effect of the application of methods of field subtema memorable experience on the students motivation grade 1 primary school. (2) to analyze the effect of the application of methods of field subtema memorable experience to the learning outcomes of students grade 1 primary school. This research uses quasi experimental research methods and implemented using a pretest - posttes design. Based on t-test results produced t value <t table is t value = 0.000 and table value = 0.05, then H0 rejected and Ha accepted. This means that (1) the application of methods of field subtema memorable experience affect motivation at school Elementary first grade students. (2) the application of methods of field subtema memorable experiences affect the learning outcomes of students grade 1 primary school.Keywords: Method of education, Motivation, Learning Outcomes, Content Experience memorable. ABSTRAK                                                                                          Latar belakang penelitian ini berdasarkan hasil observasi ditemukan di Sekolah Dasar Angkasa Surabaya bahwa pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan oleh guru kelas 1 masih monoton dan kurang inovatif. Materi yang diajarkan yaitu tentang pengalaman pergi ke pasar. Metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan materi tersebut yaitu metode karyawisata. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Menganalisis pengaruh penerapan metode karyawisata subtema pengalaman yang berkesan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar. (2) Menganalisis pengaruh penerapan metode karyawisata subtema pengalaman yang berkesan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar. Jenis Penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen quasi dan dilaksanakan menggunakan rancangan pretest-posttes design. Hasil uji-t dihasilkan thitung < ttabel yaitu thitung = 0,000 dan ttabel = 0,05, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini berarti bahwa (1) penerapan metode karyawisata subtema pengalaman yang berkesan berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas 1 Sekola Dasar. (2) penerapan metode karyawisata subtema pengalaman yang berkesan berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar.Kata Kunci: Metode Karyawisata, Motivasi Belajar, Hasil Belajar, Materi Pengalaman yang berkesan.

LANGUAGE NOTE | Document text in English; abstract also in Chinese.The purpose of the study was to describe the teaching behaviours of Hong Kong physical education student teachers. Thirty-two local pre-service and in-service student teachers were videotaped teaching two lessons in their own schools or in the allocated school during their final practicum. Each videotaped lesson was coded using the Physical Education Teacher Assessment Instrument (PETAI). Data generated by the PETAI were entered into a SPSS programme to produce further statistical analysis. The results were comprehensive described and comparison were made between the in-service and pre-service student teachers' behaviour categories by employing the independent t-test. Results indicated that the in-service student teachers had significantly higher percentages of the response presentation and the total teacher instructional time than the pre-service group. Whilst the pre-service student teachers spent significantly more time in planned presentation, equipment management, organization, behaviour management and overall management time than the in-service group. It is likely the different experience in physical education lesson teaching in school environment of the groups give account for the differences of their teaching behaviours. Findings of the present study implied that there were different teaching behaviour patterns and needs of pre-service and in-service student teachers during their practicum.本研究目的是探討香港體育師訓學生的敎學行為。三十二位職前及在職師訓學生在任敎學校攝錄兩節體育課。研究採用「體育敎師評估工具(PETAI)」分析每敎節的敎學行為。獨立樣本t-test顯示職前及在職師訓學生在體育課中的指導及管理時間上有顯著差異。在職師訓組較職前師訓組多利用時間對學生學習回應(Response Presentation),而職前師訓組則較在職師訓組多分配時間於內容演譯(Planned Presentation)、器材管理(Equipment Management)、活動組織(Organization)及學生行為管理(Behaviour Management),此等差異可能是他們有不同體育敎學經驗所致。

(2). the suggestions to improve their working conditions. A content analysis of a total of 1,348 written comments found that student related matters and teaching related matters accounted for the source of most satisfying and most dissatisfying aspects of teaching physical education respectively.本研究是採用開放式問題形式收集香港體育敎師 (1).對他們工作所感到滿意和不滿意的地方。(2).改善其工作環境的建議。在收集所得的1,348個建議中,內容分析結果顯示,香港體育敎師感到非常滿意和不滿意的地方分別來自學生和敎學上的事項。
