The aims of this study were (a) to assess the ability of the rating of perceived exertion (RPE) to predict performance loss (i.e. percent of drop in height relative to maximal height) of vertical jump session until voluntary failure, and (b) to determine the ability of RPE to describe the physiological demand of this session via heart rate monitor. Ten healthy men performed vertical jumps (counter-movement jump) until voluntary failure. Before session start maximal jump height for every subject was determined. Heart rate and RPE, separately for legs (RPE legs) and for breath (RPE breath), were recorded every ten jumps throughout the sessions. Results have shoved that RPE legs and performance loss have about 99% of same variance ( =0,9899; p<0,000), and RPE breath explains about 98% heart rate variance ( =0,9789; p<0,000) in vertical jump session until voluntary failure.

Worldwide, cerebral vascular accident is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality. According to the World Health Organization, 6,5 million cerebrovascular accident- induced deaths were recorded in 2011. In Romania, the cerebrovascular accident is the third mortality cause, after cancer and cardiovascular diseases. The number of cerebral vasculo-circulatory diseases continues to grow, due to atherosclerosis and high blood pressure frequency. Physical therapy aims to help patients gradually recover the range of motion in their lower and upper limbs, reduce oedema, prevent bed sores, prevent or reduce joint stiffness, as well as recover the ability to perform day to day activities. The purpose of this paper was to highlight physical therapy’s beneficial outcome when applied individualised to a patient having had a cerebral vascular accident with a view to improving the psycho- motor and sensory imbalances accompanying this diagnosis.

The goal of this research is to determine the modal characteristics of technical and tactical actions in handball offense. The subject sample consists of elite Serbian national handball teams. The observed variables are selected based on the unique criteria that characterizes the conclusion of the offensive actions, both in situations when there is an equal and unequal number of players on the field. The results confirm that all analysed actions are not equally represented in play of the observed teams and that there are multiple factors that contribute to the final team standing. The data shows that the defining characteristic and the highest offensive efficiency of the best teams was achieved by using counterattacks, which is to be expected given the fast pace of the modern handball.

For a long time in the theory of international relations, the role of sport in promoting and developing relations between different states was neglected, which attracted criticism from specialists such as, for example, Trevor Taylor. The need for studies on the role of sports movement in the development of international relations was pointed out by Peter Beck, who pointed out that the theory of international relations has kept an appreciable distance from sport. In this paper I want to fill this information gap based on a series of unprocessed documents, primary sources, found especially in the Balkan region. Sport overcame the barrier of behaviors and social processes that are based on spending free time, succeeding through the involvement of politics to become a "player" in the arena of international relations.

A component that we chose to analyze is the psychological one, highlighted by the coordinative capacities and the proprioceptive sensations that, within the sport training of the 110 m hurdles, we analyze through kinematic recordings and develop through individualized programs of proprioceptive exercises. The subjects were advised about the potential for error correction and the progress that can be achieved by repeated and continuous analysis of the mistakes made by them during the phases of the running of the hurdles, but also by an individualized proprioceptive training program, oriented to an impulse with a as sharp an angle as possible, a faster passage, grouped and balanced in the flight phase and a safe landing, oriented towards a forward projection of the CGM, to allow an optimal continuation of the running between the hurdles.

With the evolution of technology, its applicability in a large number of fields has always been a benefit. It is not surprising that the world of sports has gained a lot from technological discoveries. Applying certain improvements of this kind in sports has not only been a great advantage, but in some cases, it can be said that it has revolutionized this world of competition. In the paper "The impact of technology on the definition of sport" we try to present the development of technology in all fields, including sports, a number of advantages and disadvantages of this development and digitization, as well as a presentation of the most important technological discoveries in the world of sports.

There are many situations where a part of the spare time is lost, either because some people do not establish a realistic program, whether they do not comply with this program bypostponing the planned actions for various reasons. It is extremely important for students that their leisure time be organized in order to include certain accessible forms of outdoorrecreation, being known the beneficial effects of practicing exercise, sport and tourism on the physical, intellectual, emotional and social health. Education is a core component inshaping the skills of judicious use of leisure time among young people, contributing to the evolution of their lives. In order to have only positive effects, the leisure sure time must bespent in a useful and enjoyable way. There are several factors that can influence how young people spend their free time, namely: family, colleagues, friends, financial resources, media, the internet.

The purpose of this research was to analyse the impact of a web platform as a result of its use to support a leisure-time physical activity program based on the organized practice oftennis. The hypothesis of this research is based on the assumption that the use of a web platform for a recreational physical activity program, in particular a tennis one, will havebeneficial effects on the effectiveness of learning the game technique. The research was carried out on a sample of 47 volunteer subjects, all of them working in a sedentaryenvironment. The subjects of the study were divided into 3 groups, the intervention program consisted of 90-minute tennis training sessions, twice a week, for 4 months. Thestatistical analysis of the data was accomplished by using the IBM SPSS Statistics 20 program. At the end of the study, could be observed in total technical score, staticforehand, dynamic forehand, static backhand, dynamic backhand and serve score.

The aim of this study was to determine the relationships between back squat maximal strength, maximal isometric force, jump squat and countermovement jump and whether power training improves parameters mentioned above in well-trained speed skaters. Sixteen athletes devided in two groups, performed two maximal squat strength test and two vertical jump test before and after the intervention program. Absolute strength showed a strong correlation with squat jump height (r = 0.762, p < 0.001) and countermovement jump height (r = 0.760, p < 0.001) but also between maximal isometric force and squat jump (r = 0.418, p = 0.036). Percentage change within the experiment group were significantly different from pre to post intervention for each parameter tested in the order described, respectively: 14%; 16.8%; 14.9%; 9.1%. These results suggest that jump squat training can improve several athletic performances developing high levels of lower body strength to enhance jump performance.

This paper’s purpose was to investigate the correlation between components of the coordinative capacity and the technical elements of rhythmic gymnastics. In the research we investigated 14 gymnasts, through tests assessing the general and specific coordinative capacity (the Matorin, Bruininks-Oseretsky, Bass, Flamingo, spatial-temporal orientation capacity assessment trial, the rhythmic capacity determination test, the body-apparatus coordination assessment trial) and the assessment trials of the technical training (rotations, jumps, balance with the handling of the apparatus). The results obtained from calculating the correlation indices between the coordinative capacities and the technical trials showed that between the jumps and coordinative capacities there are comprised values from - 0.08 to 0.51; the balance elements and coordinative capacities comprise values between - 0.03 and 0.56; the rotations were in the range between - 0.08 and 0.53. These results suggest the importance that has to be given to the coordination capacity development in the sports training.
