The purpose of this quantitative study was to evaluate the ability of interactional fairness as a mediator in the relationship between merit-based pay management (such as communication and performance assessment) and organizational commitment. A cross-sectional technique was used to collect 450 useable data of workers from a government-linked company (GLC), who had served more than five years in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. The outcomes of the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) path model analysis indicated three important findings. First, communication and performance assessment was significantly correlated with interactional fairness. Second, interactional fairness was significantly correlated with organizational commitment. Third, communication, performance assessment and interactional fairness were significantly correlated with organizational commitment. Statistically, the findings of this study verified that the relationship between communication and performance assessment with organizational commitment is indirectly influenced by interactional fairness. These findings would benefit researchers and organizational management to recognize the importance of merit-based pay management (communication and performance assessment) to nurture employees’ positive feelings, behaviors, and attitudes in an organization. An effective pay management system would likely improve employees’ morale and enhance organizational competitiveness in facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study discussed employee turnover as one of the crucial problems faced by every organization. This study sought to analyze the determinants of turnover intention, such as job insecurity, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. The objects of this study were newcomer lecturers of private Islamic universities in East Java Province, Indonesia. To analyze the relationship among independent variables and dependent variable; this study employed a correlation path model. To build the structural formulation of the correlation path model, this study used the variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) as a Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The study found that job insecurity influenced job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Moreover, job satisfaction and organizational commitment had positive impacts on the turnover intention. In contrast, job insecurity did not have a direct significant impact on the turnover intention, but it had indirect effect that influences job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

Purpose Plagiarism is an epidemic for scholars that needs to be managed. Penalties do not seem to be able to stop people from indulging in it. Manipulation of emotions and values may help in discouraging people from plagiarism. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to understand the association between felt emotion and plagiarism outcome behaviours. Another objective of the study is to see the role of virtues in discouraging people from plagiarism. Design/methodology/approach A scenario-based quasi-experimental method is used to collect the data. Graduate students from various Indian universities were invited for the experiment. The partial least square based structural equation modelling is used to test the measurement as well as path model. Findings The authors found that manipulated shame resulted in feelings of both international and external shame. When individuals feel internal shame, they avoid and discontinue plagiarism. They also try to repair the damage that they cause by plagiarism. However, feeling of external shame only encourages individuals to discontinue plagiarism behaviour. Virtues such as influence, competitiveness and equality weaken the relationship between internal shame and plagiarism-related outcome behaviour. At the same time, these virtues do not affect the relationship between external shame and outcome behaviours. Practical implications This study has important implications for the institutions of higher education. The study suggests that universities should provoke the emotion of shame through various communications to students to control the act of plagiarism by their students. Originality/value No study seems to have examined if the manipulation of emotions and values can help reduce the problem of plagiarism. This is an attempt towards bridging this important gap in literature. Therefore, findings of this study are of great value to scholars and content developers.

Retaining employees in the organization has become very crucial especially in tough times. Losing skilled and experienced employees affect the overall productivity, profitability and product quality. While numerous studies have been carried out on this subject and the majority centre on turnover due to organizational approach, only a few studies have been done on intention to stay. Thus, the main purpose of this article is to examine the relationship among fit organization, organizational commitment and employee’s intention to stay in information and communication technology (ICT) industry in Malaysia. Quantitative method with self-administered questionnaire approach is followed targeting information technology (IT) managers of ICT with stratified random sampling of 105 IT professionals of ICT companies in Malaysia, based on the analysis using partial least square structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) (PLS 3.0) to establish both measurement and structural model. From the empirical findings, it was revealed that there is a strong relationship between organizational commitment and intention to stay. The result also found that religiousness in the employees makes them to stay in the organization. This shows that while remunerations are crucial for the intention of employees, employee’s commitment is much higher than the intention initiatives.

There is a phenomenon related to the dysfunctional behavior of unscrupulous tax officials and the reluctant of taxpayers to pay the tax. This study aims to explore the evidence of psychological tax contract in a tax official perspective. It proposes model-ing the effect of Indonesia tax reform process for determining the ethics as the im-portant variable that affects the tax officials performance. It also examines the effect of organizational commitment, culture, and tax reform on tax ethics. There were 128 tax officials working in three cities of East Java that were selected as the respon-dents. The questionnaires were distributed directly to the respondents. Partial Least Square was used to test the hypotheses. It was found that organizational commit-ment, organizational culture, and tax reform have a direct contribution to tax offi-cial ethics. However, understanding the ethics of taxation was not proved to be the moderating variable for the relationship between the organizational commitment and organizational change and the policies of rotation system explain why ethics failed as moderating variable.

The purpose of this study is to assess the factors influencing the adoption of e-banking in a developing country and to explore the moderating effects of trialability on the relationship between behavioural intention and the actual use of e-banking services. The study has employed the convenience and cross-sectional data collection approach in three of the 16 regions in Ghana. Data was collected from 568 respondents through an online survey. The Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was used to analyse the data. The findings indicate that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions positively and significantly influence the intention to adopt e-banking. The structural path analysis also showed that trialability positively and significantly moderates the relationship between behavioural intention and actual use of e-banking platforms. This research fills the existing gap in the e-banking literature by integrating trialability into the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model to assess its moderating impact on the relationship between behavioural intention and actual e-banking adoption in a developing country.

Dynamic capabilities describe a firm’s ability to build, integrate and reconfigure internal and external competencies to address rapidly changing environments and improve firm competitiveness. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of four dimensions of dynamic capabilities (sensing, learning, integrating, and coordinating) on the performance of hospitality firms. In addition, the study examined the mediating role of product innovation in the relationship between dynamic capabilities and performance. The study adopted the quantitative research design and the cross-sectional survey method was used for data collection. The Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling was used for data analysis. Based on a dataset of 135 respondents, the results indicated that sensing, learning and coordinating significantly affect the performance of hospitality firms. Innovation mediates the relationship between sensing and learning capabilities and performance. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed. The provision of seminars and training on dynamic capabilities and innovation to top management and employees is important.

Prior studies suggest that differentiating strategy (DS) has an intervening impact on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation (EO) and performance. However, they only examine the impacts based on each dimension of EO, provide a lack of theory underpinning why this strategy is the mediator, and focus on the manufacturing industry of an emerging market. Addressing these gaps, the purpose of this study draws from the contingency theory in strategic management to examine whether this strategy is the mediator in the context of Vietnam. Partial least square structural equation modeling used to assess the research model with data collected from 142 SMEs operating in Vietnam. The result indicates that DS fully has an intervening effect on the association between EO and SMEs' performance.

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of Organizational Culture and Organizational Commitment to Job Satisfaction and Employee Performance as a result of the gap of previous research results (research gap) and differences of focus on organizational culture and Organizational Commitment to Job Satisfaction and Employee Performance. This research was conducted at Koperasi Desa Adat Kerobokan Kuta Utara Badung with population and research sample of all employees as many as 60 people. All data obtained from the kuisoner distribution is feasible to be used, then analyzed using a variance based structural equation model known as Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The result of research shows that (1) Organizational Culture has positive and significant influence to Job Satisfaction, (2) Organizational Culture has positive and significant influence Employee Performance, (3) Organizational Commitment have positive and significant influence to Job Satisfaction (4) Organizational Commitment have positive and significant on Employee Performance, (5) Job Satisfaction mediates the influence of organizational culture and Organizational Commitment on Employee Performance. The implications of this research that Job Satisfaction and Performance can be applied with respect to Organizational Culture and Organizational Commitment. Employee performance is increasing, job satisfaction is increasing and it can all be improved by taking into account Organizational Culture and Organizational Commitment.

Most recently there has been wonderful development in the market for a temporary, or contingent, labor power in the United States. The total labor market during 10 years amid somewhere in the range of 1986 and 1996 developed by 1.7 percent, in a similar period, work in contingent services became 10.3 percent. Among the technical, pro-fessional,and managerial category of contingent workforce, there is a rapid growth of payroll noticed. Contingence workforce continues to thrive in Asian countries too. India is no exceptional from this viewpoint hence this has made the purpose of the present research paper to contribute the brief and clear insights towards contingent workforce, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. The present paper is an empirical evidence for the mediation effect of contingent workforce in the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction. This is a survey-based research work carried out to explore the subject of temporary workforce in Indian context. A sample of 284 respondents were participated in the survey and the typical fining from the present study is contingent workforce fully mediates the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Partial Least Square based Structural Equation Modelling was used to test the proposed hypotheses.

This study aims to investigate destination brand prestige, and to explore the mediating effects of destination brand worldness between destination brand prestige and intention to revisit. Research is designed to collect primary data from the Taiwanese tourists. Partial least squares structural equation modeling is used to test the effects. The research model is appropriately implemented in Smart PLS 3 and a full mediation has existed through the empirical findings. The study shows how destination brand worldness mediates the relationship between destination brand prestige and intention to revisit.
