This research was based on the researcher's preliminary study which found that the students could not comprehend the meaning of texts in their textbook.   This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the students’ reading comprehension in narrative text through simplified text at grade VIII of SMP Budhi Luhur Pekanbaru. The research was administered to the second year students of SMP Budhi Luhur Pekanbaru. The total population was 34 students. After analyzing the data, the researcher found a significant effect of simplified text toward reading at the second-year SMP Budhi Luhur Pekanbaru students, where the average score from the based score was 58. It increased to 66 at the end of the cycle I. Finally, the average score of cycle II was 75. So it can be concluded that simplified text can increase the students' reading skill at grade VIII SMP Budhi Luhur Pekanbaru

This research aimed to find the use of Patterned Partner Reading strategy improve the students reading comprehension at the SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung. The researcher used A Classroom Action Research (CAR). The researcher had conducted two cycles, where each cycle consisted of four meetings. This classroom action research was one at SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung. As subject in this research was the second class with students’ number as about 30 students consist of 7 man and 23 women. The instruments were observation sheet and test sheet. The research findings indicated that the application of patterned partner reading strategy was effective and significant in improving the students’ reading skill especially students’ reading comprehension. It was proved that the mean score of D-Test was 60.8, Cycle I 75.5 and after conducted Cycle II improved to 93 And based of mean score of students’ reading comprehension during two cycle researcher found percentage improvement that is from D-Test to Cycle I is 24.17% and from Cycle I to Cycle II is 23.17 and D-Test to Cycle II 52.96%. It means that there was the improvement of students’ reading comprehension on learning process.

This research aimed to explain the students’ achievement in literal reading comprehension using Tiered Tasks Strategy, as well as to explain the students’ achievement in interpretative reading comprehension using Tiered Tasks Strategy. This research used Classroom Action Research and applied to cycles in the application, they are cycle 1 and 2 with 4 meetings in every cycle. The improvement of students’ ability to write narrative text using Tiered Tasks Strategy had an effective effect. The researcher found that before the application of tiered tasks strategy the students’ score is 52.53(fair) but after using the method the students’ score in cycle I is 62.14 and in the cycle, II become 77.18. So, the improvement of the students’ score of d-test to cycle I is 18.93% whereas the development of the students’ ability of d-test to cycle II is 47.80% and the improvement from cycle I to cycle II is 24.22%.Keywords: Reading, Tiered, Strategy

The objective of this study is to investigate whether the application of Before, During, and After (BDA) Technique significantly improves the students’ achievement in reading narrative text. This study was conducted by using classroom action research. The subject of this research was the students in MTs S Al-Ittihadiyah Mamiyai Medan especially class VIII 1 which consisted of 32 students. The research was conducted in two cycles. The first cycle consisted of three meetings and the second cycle consisted of three meetings. The instruments for collecting data were interview sheet, observation sheet, and diary notes. Based on the analysis, students’ achievement is improved in every test of reading narrative test. In test I, the mean score was 50.93. In test II in cycle I, the mean score was 70.93. In test III in cycle II, the mean score was 91.75. Based on the interview sheet, observation sheet and diary notes, it was found that the teaching learning process ran well. The students were more active and enthusiastic working in group. It was conclude that Before, During, and After (BDA) Technique can improve the students’ achievement in reading narrative text.   Keywords: BDA Technique, Reading, Narrative text, Action Research

This research was based on the students’ problem in reading comprehension of narrative text, especially in generic structure, purpose, language features and vocabulary. The purpose of this research was to improve reading comprehension in narrative text. The design of this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research consisted of five meetings in one cycle. This research conducted on March 2018. Based on the test result, it was found that the average score of cycle was 80, 09. Furthermore, the data about factors that influence the students’ improvement in reading comprehension in narrative text were obtained by interview, observation checklist, and field note. The factors were interested of media, students’ enjoy and fun during learning process and this strategy was easily to comprehend. In conclusion, the use of FLIP strategy can improve students reading comprehension in narrative text.

The objective of the research is to know the improvement of the students’ reading comprehension using double entry journal technique at the second year students’ of SMA Neg. 1 Pasui. This research is a classroom action research consist of two cycles, the mean score of the students’ reading comprehension for diagnostic-Test is 5.95 which is categorized as poor classification. While the mean score of the students’ reading comprehension in cycle I was 6.39. It is higher than the students’’ D-Test. But the result was still not significant because it is still categorized as fair and under the KKM 60. So the research is continued to the cycle II and the mean score of the students’ reading comprehension of cycle II was 6.82. Having analyzed the data, it can be stated that the students’ reading comprehension at the second year in class XI of SMA Neg.1 Pasui is poor level before applying the double entry journal technique, but after applying the technique in the second cycle, the students’ reading comprehension is classified as good categories.

Abstract-This research related to the development of the potential of ecopreneurship students through project-based learning. The purposeof this research is caused by unrest demonstrated by students either in the process of learning which is very flat as well as assessment of the student's active role in the learning or suggested the practice as a form of character development. Researchers take a character-based entrepreneurial environment because the research location close to traditional and modern market. Problem formulated which examined is, related how the design, implementation, as well as the obstacles that occur in this research. The research method used is the classroom action research method using designs from Lewin according to Elliot. The design research of Lewin according to Elliot in each cycle begins with planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used are observation, field note, and documentation study. The instrument used is the observation sheet and rubric. Based on the research that has been done shows that project-based learning model can be an alternative model which could develop the potential of ecopreneurship grade VII-A MTS. Ar-Rohmah Bandung. This can be seen from the increase in the indicators of research after two cycles with a total of eight actions. The increase occurred on the indicators create, explore, creative, innovative, and confident. The results of this research can be an alternative to developing the social studies study that allows students to explore his creativity by doing a practice jump, so that learning becomes more meaningful for teachers as a student or as a character-forming the subject of the creation of the character.Keywords: project-based learning, the potential ecoprenership.

<p>The objectives of this research are to find out the improvement of students’ vocabulary mastery and the student’s activeness in speaking through Engage, Study and Activate Method at the second year students of SMP Negeri 26Makassar. This research used Classroom Action Research that comprises of two cycles. The research population is the second year students of SMP Negeri 26 Makassar, and the sample of this research comprises of 25 students. The researcher obtained the data by using a speaking test and observation sheet.The results of this research show that there is animprovement in students' vocabularybetween the cycle I and Cycle II. The mean scores of students in the diagnostic test are 4.7 became 6.21 in cycle I, and after doing a revision in the cycle II the mean score in cycle II is7.45 then the activeness of students also improve from first meeting 53 % became 92% in the last meeting and achieved the minimal criteria, 65. The research findings indicate that the use of Engage, Study and Activate method can enrich the students’ vocabulary mastery and improve the students’ activeness in speaking.</p>

<p><em>The research has problem less reading comprehension ability explanation text in class IV. This research aims to increase reading comprehension ability using SQ3R in text explanation at IV class SDN Nantang. The researcher uses classroom action research. The result shows the use of SQ3R can increase reading comprehension ability in text explanation. Pre-test shows average scores are 45,83 with 27% complete and 73% incomplete. Cycle I with average scores are 75,67% with 60% complete and 40% incomplete and cycle II average scores 87,83 with 90% complete and 10% incomplete. The result of average is 42.  Reading comprehension ability is 53%. Based on the increase in pre-test until cycle I and cycle II, the conclusion is SQ3R can increase reading comprehension ability in text explanation at IV class SDN Nantang sub-district Cigalontang regency Tasikmalaya period 2020/2021</em></p>
