The research was carried out at the Wajo District Government with a population of 5,991 employees from 11 SKPD and set a sample of 375 people as respondents based on the Slovin formula. The questionnaire results were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model using AMOS 18 assistance. The results found that organizational culture had a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance. This indicates that the indicators of organizational culture in the form of integrity, identity, responsibility, discipline, and results in orientation are considered to be improved and enhanced in obtaining the realization of work results by employee performance achievements. The organizational culture that has a negative and insignificant effect does not mean that organizational culture is not implemented, but the meaning of the values, rules, and principles of the founders of the organization has undergone a shift to make changes towards achieving work results orientation in supporting employee performance improvement. Without ignoring other variables, namely intelligence, local wisdom, and commitment to performance.

By introducing environmental mediator, for avoiding randomness in selecting indicators and subjectivity in deciding interaction path coefficients to reveal interaction mechanism among forest industry, ecology and environmental capacity, structural Pressure–State–Impact–Response (PSIR) and quantitative Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) are utilized with data on thirty–one provinces of China. We can find that: (i) forest industry has a negative influence on ecology, whereas ecology has a positive influence on industry; (ii) the destructive influence that industry has on ecology is much greater than the positive effect ecology has on industry; and (iii) environmental capacity plays a partial mediating role between industry and ecology. According to these results we can conclude that: (i) forest industry and ecology are not in a symbiotic relationship and have not reached a level of ecological security; (ii) the interaction between industry and ecology is in a period of transition from antagonistic to beneficial; and (iii) industry dominates ecology. However, we prospect the following advice: (i) methods of forest industry should be changed; (ii) new modes of industrial integration and circular economy should be developed; and (iii) the ability of the environment to sustain itself should be enhanced. The level of forest ecological security to discuss the symbiotic mechanism of industry and ecology will propose to be measured in future.

Abstract This study aimed to empirically test some variables related to Performance-Based Budgeting (PBB) and Performance Measurement System (PMS) implementation in the local government, namely Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This study applied the mixed-methods approach with sequential explanatory strategy (QUANTITATIVE to Qualitative). Quantitative stage was conducted by testing the hypothesis using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach. On the qualitative stage, the interview was conducted to dig more information on the unsupported hypothesis. From the result of the hypothesis testing, it was discovered that the limitation of information system had a negative influence, while education had a positive influence towards the effectiveness of PBB. Furthermore, the effectiveness of PBB had a positive influence towards budget absorption, and the accountability also had a positive influence towards the use of performance information to practice the arrangement of PPB. Meanwhile, the qualitative analysis produced the finding that there were practices of PBB that could still be done manually and it was not supported by information technology. Besides, the implementation of PMS and PBB was more because of the coercive pressure rather than consciousness of normative apparatus.

This study examined the structural relationship between children’s academic stress, grit, executive function difficulty, and media device addiction. Data on 1,132 children and their mothers from the 11th (2018)Panel Study on Korean Children were used for the study. Data were collected by Academic Stress Scale, Grit Scale-Children, Child-Adolescent Self-reported Executive Function Difficulty Screening Questionnaire, and K-Internet Addiction Scale. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 23.0 program with Pearson correlation, structural equation model and bootstrapping. The main results were as follows. 1) Children’s academic stress had a negative influence on their grit. 2) Children’s grit had a negative influence on their executive function difficulty and media device addiction. 3) Children’s executive function difficulty had a positive influence on their media device addiction. 4) The relationship between children’s academic stress and media device addiction was mediated by their grit and executive function difficulty. This study is significant in the sense that it found protective factors and risk factors for children’s addiction to media devices. We suggest that children’s grit be improved, and their academic stress and executive function difficulty be reduced to prevent and mediate children’s media device addiction.

This paper provides a theoretical rationale for the applicability of talent management in SMEs context. Specifically, the study offers a framework examining the effect of talent management on organizational performance mediated by a synergized innovative climate and moderated by organizational culture. The study employs a broad cross-sectional sample of 295 owners of small and medium-sized family businesses engaged in culinary, printing, fashion, and handicrafts in Central Java Province, Indonesia. Data were analyzed quantitatively using Structural Equation Model. The results of the analysis showed that four out of five hypotheses were supported. Only the first hypothesis stating that talent management positively influences organizational performance was not supported. This study serves as a foundation for future talent management research, particularly those aimed at uncovering the factors that influence talent management's unique position in organizational outcomes.
