Employee engagement is becoming an important area of focus by many HR consultancies in the recent years. Organizations having engaged employees tend to out-perform than employees who are not engaged or disengaged, also it will enable them to compete better in their industry resulting in higher performance, lower turnover, more profitability etc., Despite of all this there are still some industries who are ignorant and neglect the importance of having engaged employees. Therefore there is a necessity for more of academic research on employee engagement which helps in creating awareness to these organizations about the prominence of focusing on employee engagement and the findings will also augments the existing literature on employee engagement. The study was conducted on 433 employees working in travel organizations set up in Bangalore with the purpose of determining the relationship psychological climate (antecedent) has on employee engagement and in turn its relationship with organizational citizenship behavior (outcome). The study also determines the mediating relationship of employee engagement between PC and OCB.

What do growth-oriented business models look like? While several economic theories, such as the theory of the firm, are based on the assumption that firms aim to maximise their profits, past research has shown that growth intention is heterogeneous among firms and that many business owners prefer to keep their firm at a size that they can manage with few resources. This paper explores the relationship of growth intention and business models, based on a sample of 135 German ICT businesses. Following an exploratory approach, Mann–Whitney U tests are applied to analyse how different business model designs correspond with different levels of growth intention. The results indicate that growth intention relates to business owners’ decisions regarding the provision of consulting services, the level of standardisation in offered products and services, the choice of addressed markets, the implementation of competitive strategies based on cost efficiency and of revenue streams based on one-time- and performance-based payments. Furthermore, the results show that growth oriented firms are no more likely than non-growth oriented firms to adapt their business models dynamically to changed internal or external conditions.

In order to research the mechanical properties and microstructure change regulation of cement-mixed soil under erosion environment, several experiments are carried out in laboratory. The changes of shear strength of cement-mixed soil are recorded under different erosion environments and in different erosion periods. Their corresponding photomicrographs are also shot to reveal the damage on cement-mixed soil under erosion environment. The results indicate that the shear strength of cement-mixed soil in erosion solutions is worse than the strength by the natural curing in the corresponding period. As erosion time increases the strength of cement-mixed soil dipped in , and solutions keeps on downtrend, whereas the strength of that dipped in unpolluted water and solution presents upward trend. The erosive effects of cement-mixed soil are mainly caused by and , meantime has more prominent erosive effect on cement-mixed soil than . Accompanying with stadium increasing quantitative parameters of microstructures are all varying markedly and have certain regulation which testifies the notable relativity between the shear strength and microstructural parameters. Liner regression methods are set up to indicate the relationship of shear strength indexes and microstructural parameters in the erosion environment.

The pH value and SO42- concentration in corrosive environment may affect mechanical property of cemented soil inturn to cause some serious damage to structure. The results of tests show that the unconfined compression strength is decreasing with the increase of H2SO4 solution concentration, increasing with the increase of pH value. The pH value is increasing and the SO42- concentration is decreasing with the increase of corrosive time. So it is concluded that compressive strength is closely rated with the pH value, SO42- concentration of corrosive environment and corrosive time. Finally a equation is set up based on the relationship of compressive strength and factors affected, which contain the reduced coefficient of compressive strength, pH value, SO42- concentration and corrosive time. The calculated and measured values are close so that the equation could be used in practical design for reference.

Abstract Phlebopus portentosus is a favorite wild edible mushroom in the Xishuangbanna region, Yunnan, China and in northern Thailand. This bolete has a unique biotrophy. It can be saprobic but also form a tripartite association with root mealy bugs and plants. P. portentosus is the only edible fungus of Boletales in the world that can be cultivated artificially and anniversary produced at present. Sclerotium is often found at its natural environment and cultivated media, but the regularity and growth characteristics of the sclerotium are unknown. In this study the whole process of birth, growth, death and rebirth of the sclerotium of P. portentosus at the national and lab conditions was reported for the first time. The sclerotium formation in the nature is related to adversity, such as reduced rainfall and low temperature. The more rainfall, the less sclerotia. It seems that the lower temperature increased the sclerotium formation, however the relationship of the sclerotium formation to temperature was not obvious as the rainfall. Under artificial conditions the sclerotium formation of P. portentosus is related to the fungus physiological maturation, and the sclerotium occurrence always accompanied by appearance of the water drops on the colony. The result will set up a platform for research on importance of the sclerotium in life circle of P. portentosus.

This chapter examines medical discourses and ideologies in the Edinburgh Review to set up a comparative context for examining the relationship of their primary ideological competitor – Blackwood’s Edinburgh Magazine – to medical culture. It argues that the reforming and professionalising rhetoric of the Edinburgh emerged, in part, from medico-scientific culture and was harnessed by key medical contributors, such as John Thomson (1765–1846), Andrew Duncan, junior (1773–1832), and John Gordon (1786–1818). This rhetoric was carried forward in Archibald Constable’s Edinburgh Medical and Surgical Journal. The scathing reviews of medical and physiological texts in the Edinburgh Review are read as drawing upon and contributing to the liberal Whig ideology and reforming rhetoric of the journal, while also forwarding the professional agenda of individual contributors.

Modern research dealing with the radical fringe of the Reformation has by-passed the problem of that Italian evangelical movement which is usually assumed to have been connected with northern “Anabaptism.” Students of “Anabaptist” history, however, while they have sought to clarify the distinctions within the movement as well as the features common to its component parts, have laid the groundwork for a reconsideration of the precise position of the Italian radicals. One approach to the problem might focus attention on the question of the relationship of Italian reformers to the “Anabaptist” movement in general. However, it has become increasingly obvious that the term “Anabaptism” was applied to a great variety of individuals and groups which had in common little more than their condemnation of infant baptism. As new criteria have been set up for separating the parts of this confusing mixture, there stand out most prominently at the center of the “Anabaptist” movement certain sects which modern German scholars call the “Taufer,” viz., the Swiss Brethren, the Hutterite Brethren, and the Mennonites; and we shall follow their usage here. The Täufer differed from the Protestant state churches principally in their conception of the nature of the church and, in their stress on discipleship. The latter emphasis implies man's ability to lead a life patterned after the life of Christ, while their conception of the church as a closed community of voluntary believers underlay their insistence upon the need for adult baptism. This insistence, which carried with it a denial of the efficacy of infant baptism, was the point in their teachings that aroused the opposition of contemporaries, signifying, as it did, their non-conformity to established practices and institutions.

The present study assessed the relationship of MSP and production of cotton and farmers’ awareness regarding MSP of cotton. Secondary data of National Sample Survey Office, Ministry of Agriculture and other sources were used for the study. The results showed that only 20.4 and 22.6 per cent of farmers in India are aware of MSP of cotton grown by them in kharif and post-kharif season, respectively. Thus, there is need to facilitate the awareness among the cotton growing farmers in all cotton growing states to avoid distress sale of their produce and assure better income. The growth in area and production and MSP of cotton was higher in period II (2005-06 to 2016-17) indicating the positive relationship. The announced MSP of cotton in the year 2017-18 kharif was lesser than projected C2 and C3 costs with negative managerial profit. Thus, there is need to revise of the cost concept considered for fixing of MSP.  The key reason given by farmers for not selling the produce to procurement agency is that no procurement agency or local purchaser is available to procure and there is delay in payments. Thus, there is need to set up additional procurement centres in major cotton growing areas with better infrastructure and finance facilities.

The study utilizes substance investigation to study CSR revelation and characterizes and rates these exercises utilizing things from a set up scale took after by development of class shrewd CSR records. The relationship of these files with firm execution is investigated through a pooled relapse model in the wake of provisioning for control variables and slack impacts. The study finds that CSR reporting may not be having any critical effect on bookkeeping and market execution of the firm in the fleeting yet environment situated CSR exposure may be adversely identified with the business sector execution of the firm. The concentrate additionally finds that organizations concentrate intensely on representative and client arranged CSR and the methods of CSR ventures are more contributory as opposed to participative in nature.</em></p></div>
