Исследовано современное состояние повышения квалификации педагогических работников на научно-теоретическом и научно-методическом уровнях. Цель исследования - выявить факторы, положительно влияющие на развитие их профессиональных компетенций. Исследованы основные функции учреждений повышения квалификации, квазипрофессиональные ситуации, способствующие профессиональному развитию учителя, и самообразовательная деятельность учителя в межкурсовой период. Представлена динамика развития профессиональных компетенций слушателей курсов учителей начальных классов и воспитателей дошкольных образовательных организаций. The article focuses on the analysis of the current state of the advanced training among teaching staff on the theoretical and methodical levels. The purpose of the research is to identify the factors, which have a positive effect on the development of teacher’s professional competences. In this article are studied core functions of the retraining institutions, paraprofessional situations, which encourage the professional development of the teacher, and teacher’s self-educational activities during intercourse period. There is represented dynamic of development of the listener’s professional competences during courses of the primary school teachers and teachers of pre-school institutions.

The article presents the results of an empirical study, in the process of which, by means of questionnaires, it was found out how younger students perceive the image of a teacher. Based on the opinions of the respondents, a conclusion is made about what accents should be highlighted in the preparation of a future primary school teacher in the context of mastering teaching and educational activities. The main characteristics of the advanced training of a teacher are highlighted: practice-oriented, anthropological and motivational orientation.

Актуальность статьи обусловлена тем, что образовательное пространство современности подвластна динамичной трансформации, которая предписывает постоянную эволюцию образовательной системы. Разрабатываются и апробируются новые технологии, применяются новейшие средства и формы обучения, в процесс обучения внедряется цифровая образовательная среда. В таких условиях представляется важным обратить особое внимание на подготовку педагогических кадров. В статье представлена авторская педагогическая модель формирования готовности к творческому саморазвитию будущих учителей начальных классов. Для прогрессии компонентов творческого саморазвития будущих учителей начальной школы использовались практические задания с творческим уклоном и творческие упражнения. Проанализированы и интерпретированы результаты исследования по эффективности педагогической модели формирования готовности к творческому саморазвитию будущих учителей начальных классов. Творческая направленность педагогической профессии требует подготовки будущих учителей начальных классов, способных к творческому саморазвитию. The relevance of the article is caused by the fact that the educational space of our time is subject to dynamic transformation, which prescribes the constant evolution of the educational system. New technologies are being developed and tested, the newest means and forms of education are used, a digital educational environment is being introduced into the learning process. In such conditions, it seems important to pay special attention to the training of teaching staff. The article presents the author's pedagogical model of the formation of readiness for creative self-development of future primary school teachers. For the progression of the components of creative self-development of future primary school teachers, practical tasks with a creative bias and creative exercises were used. Analyzed and interpreted the results of research on the effectiveness of the pedagogical model of formation of readiness for creative self-development of future primary school teachers. The creative orientation of the teaching profession requires the preparation of future primary school teachers capable of creative self-development.

The aim of the study was to find out the perception of teachers towards enhancing their professional and human developments through mentoring using Owerri Educational zone. The result of the study would be significant as it would provide a basis for incorporating the mentoring system into teachers' development programmes. Four research questions were formulated to guide the study. A simple random sampling technique with non-replacement balloting was used to sample hundred (900) teachers in the area of study. Data for the study were collected using a structured questionnaire relating to the topic and analysed with simple percentages The result of the analysis showed those primary school teachers were not aware of the benefits of enhancing their profession and personal development through mentoring. Teachers in the area of study had a negative perception towards enhancing their personal and professional development through mentoring by years of experience. The levels o f education, sex are not determining factors in the teacher's perception o f their professional development through mentoring. Based on the result some recommendations were made which include a review of the current development programmes of teachers to incorporate the mentoring system, and team teaching should be encouraged to facilitate networking and sharing of best practices among teachers among others.
