A B S T R A C T Urban Green areas has influence on climate conditions and social welfare, improving the quality of life of people and bringing contributions to ecological context. The objective was to make a quantitative census of the trees of the Park Jaqueira - Recife, Pernambuco, sorting by type and nature as native or exotic. The results obtained show that the park has a rich diversity of tree species with 633 individuals, including 49 species and 23 botanical families. Among the quantified species 344 (54,34%) were native and 289 exotic origin (45,65%). Under these circumstances, we conclude that despite a satisfactory afforestation, the high number of exotic species found suggest the potential for ecological imbalances. The present inquiry arises as a result of a constant search of problems that affect cities of the country, by the Hotbed of Investigation of Surcolombian Socioeconomic Studies HISSS, of the Surcolombiana University of Neiva (Colombia) -.In this way, we found those factors and actions that contribute to making Bogotá, Medellin, Barranquilla, Neiva, Tunja and Cúcuta, cities that the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development through the urban environmental quality indexes (UEQUI) categorizes, at medium, low and very low levels. A methodology was developed that projects positivist and qualitative investigation, corresponding to a descriptive and explanatory study of the environmental sustainability of the cities is obtained from factors such as: public space; green areas; environmental pollution; mobility, public transport. The results obtained are of a relevant nature because they show old direct effects on the quality of life of the inhabitants, so that from them, alternative solutions are interpreted and proposed

Decent quality of indoor air is important for health and wellbeing of building users. We live, work and study in indoors of various types of buildings. Often people are exposed to pollutants at higher concentrations than these that occur out-doors. Continual investigation of indoor air quality is needed for ensuring comfort and healthy environment. Measuring and analysis of occurrence of physical, chemical and biological factors is the first step for suggestion of optimization measures. Inside school buildings there are often inadequate indoor climate conditions such as thermal comfort parame-ters or ventilation. The aim of this study was determination of indoor environmental quality in selected offices in the building of elementary school in Slovakia. The values of operative temperature were not within the optimum range of values for the warm period of the year in one of the monitored offices. The intensity of illumination was lower in the two offices. Low levels of particulate matters were measured except the one office where permissible value was exceeded by 7.6%.

The paper examined the sensitiveness among the sample wards of Srinagar city – quality of life, built up condition, perception of residents annoyed by various environmental pollution indicators. Environmental quality may be analyzed objectively based on facts & figures .it should also be viewed through the mental map of residents the way they perceive their environment. The way they experience it such an image of the environment is bound to be partial, distorted, & simplified one .the Z-score variate has been used to examine the level of literacy. The spatial variation in perceiving the quality of life & the way to perceive the environment is reliant on the primary source the reason for the variation among the sample wards is due to the poor environmental management & socio- economic conditions.  Int. The issues of improving the air environment of microdistricts through the formation of park zones and the development of peripheral lands of urban districts are considered. The rating of tree species that make the greatest contribution to the enrichment of the atmosphere has been compiled. Formulas for calculating the oxygen consumption of a person with regard to age and physical activities are proposed, which determine the required areas of landscaping for restoring the gas-air balance depending on the number of people at the facilities. For the formation of arrays of planting to protect against noise, an expression is obtained that determines the level of suppression of sound load depending on the width of the designed forest belt. Calculations of oxygen consumption by students and the required area for planting trees to restore balance are made using the example of a comprehensive school project for the Zheleznodorozhny district of Voronezh. The conclusion is made about low standards for green areas construction and, in this regard, the need for organizations related to cities, park areas, significantly increasing the size of forests.
