By carrying out condensation reactions for alkylphenols and methylene-bis-alkylphenols with amines, alkanolamines and formaldehyde, working with boric acid and the neutralization of the obtained product with calcium hydroxide, new boron-nitrogencontaining alkylphenolate, additives have been synthesized (AKI-114B, AKI-212B, AKI-115B, AKI-210B, AKI-214B, AKI-219B).The structure of the obtained - boron esters (derivatives of phenolate) has been studied through the use of the IR spectroscopy method. Simultaneously with studying the functional properties of the synthesized additives in motor oil, it has been established that their detergent, water, corrosion, oxidation and wear resistance properties greatly overbalance the same properties of their single nitrogen-containing and industrial analogues. Through thermoanalytic research conducted on OD-102T typed derivatograph, the high stability (through to 360ºC) of additives containing boron-nitrogen has been determined. On the basis of new boron, nitrogen-containing modifications AKI-210B and AKI-115B different motor oil compositions such as M-8B, M-10G2 and etc. have been prepared and tested. The creation of high-synergy efficiency upon interaction of synthesized additives with other ones (sulfonates, dithiophosphates) has been observed, particularly in the improvement of  tribological properties, and the increase in the oxidation induction period.

V. 60. N 1. P. 45-49. In this work crystal data of bis[1-(diaminomethylene)-thiouron-1-ium] sulfate is shown. This compound was characterized by IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The monocrystal of this compound was obtained and the structure was confirmed by single X-ray analysis. Moreover, the work describes potential application of synthesized compound. Comparative characteristics of thiourea and its known salts are demonstrated. It is known, that derivatives of thiourea have several tautomeric forms, which can be different in crystalline state or in solution. Therefore, changed scheme of the synthesis of 2-imino-4-thiobiuret is proposed. Elemental cell of crystal consists of two 1-(diaminomethylene)thiouron-1-ium cations and one sulfat anion. A full set of X-ray diffraction data was deposited in the Cambridge Structural Database (deposit CCDC 1421710) and it can be gotten from the site www.ccdc.cam.ac.uk/data_request/cif.

Abstract Motor oil classification is important for quality control and the identification of oil adulteration. In this work, we propose a simple, rapid, inexpensive and nondestructive approach based on image analysis and pattern recognition techniques for the classification of nine different types of motor oils according to their corresponding color histograms. For this, we applied color histogram in different color spaces such as red green blue (RGB), grayscale, and hue saturation intensity (HSI) in order to extract features that can help with the classification procedure. These color histograms and their combinations were used as input for model development and then were statistically evaluated by using linear discriminant analysis (LDA), quadratic discriminant analysis (QDA), and support vector machine (SVM) techniques. Here, two common solutions for solving a multiclass classification problem were applied: (1) transformation to binary classification problem using a one-against-all (OAA) approach and (2) extension from binary classifiers to a single globally optimized multilabel classification model. In the OAA strategy, LDA, QDA, and SVM reached up to 97% in terms of accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity for both the training and test sets. In extension from binary case, despite good performances by the SVM classification model, QDA and LDA provided better results up to 92% for RGB-grayscale-HSI color histograms and up to 93% for the HSI color map, respectively. In order to reduce the numbers of independent variables for modeling, a principle component analysis algorithm was used. Our results suggest that the proposed method is promising for the identification and classification of different types of motor oils.

A series of novel 5-(2-hydroxypropyl)amino-1,2,3-thiadiazole and 5-(2-hydroxy-propyl)sulfanyl-1,2,3-triazole derivatives were designed and synthesized as candidate fungicides. The new compounds were identified by NMR and IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis. Their antifungal activities were evaluated.
