According to IEEE-1159 definition and classification of power quality of applying at supplyside and demand-side of power system to evaluate the power quality of high voltage keycustomer and using the voltage events record (VER) in low voltage level supply. Which voltage parameter set of VER with specific software Event View software by Fluke and can collect event data, plot graphic of event data sets that can using the data mining skill to analysis the voltage swell, voltage sag, power outage, frequency events and three phase load unbalance of high voltage key-customer. By abnormal voltage event statistics with discriminated by quantization of high voltage key-customer which can evaluate the own power quality and an also provide reference for quality requirements for related semiconductor factories with higher demand that can avoid the significant effect the economic losses.

This paper solves the problem of reactive power and harmonics compensation in a high-voltage (HV) distribution network supplying nonlinear loads. An inductive filtering (IF) approach where passive filters connect to the filtering winding of a four-winding inductive filtering transformer (FW-IFT) is presented to enhance the power quality of the public grid. This method can not only greatly suppress harmonic currents of the medium and/or low-voltage (LV) side, but also prevent them from flowing into the public grid. The new main circuit topology, where the FW-IFT has specific filtering winding by adopting the ampere-turn balance of the transformer, is presented. On the basis of the structure of the FW-IFT, the magnetic potential balanced equation and inductive filtering technology, its equivalent circuit and mathematical model are established, and the filtering performances are analyzed in detail. Simulation and experimental results rated at SN-10/0.38 of the FW-IFT are presented to prove the efficacy of the comprehensive enhancement of power quality on the grid side.

This paper examines the power quality of Ado-Ekiti metropolis in Ekiti State, Nigeria. The metrics of power quality includes: disturbances such as interruptions, voltage sags, spikes and momentary losses, power harmonics, and voltage unbalances with intrinsic effects on the efficiency and performances on the electric equipment. The necessity for this paper is the fluctuations of voltage supplied to the consumers by the distribution company in Ekiti State. These have significant effects on the power delivered to consumers ‘appliances, quality of their lives and the development of the society at large. The quality of voltage of each consumer in the selected areas were measured with the aid of digital multimeter which was compared with the standard nominal voltage of 240V, voltage deviations were evaluated through the use of standard mathematical equation and linear regression model was employed on the calculated voltage deviation with day and time used as inputs and the voltage deviation as the output. The implementation of the modelling was achieved through the use of Microsoft Excel data tool. The power quality for areas1, 2, 3 for the hours under consideration were poor with respect to R2 range of above 0.5 but better than that area 4 with R2 value of less than 0.5.The results were compared and recommendations were made with the view of improving the power quality in the metropolis.

AbstractThe aim of the present work is to evaluate the power quality (PQ) required in individual customers in low voltage (LV), along an electrical circuit of 13.8 kV, in a distribution network standardized in urban area and with diversity of energy consumption profiles. Energy, including comprehended parts of the region with downside against financial rates. The data is useful in this sales environment of a Brazilian distribution company. These data were developed by the data mediation systems for a communication interface that enable to identify and evaluate PQ disturbance. The results of the surveys is compared with limits reported in Module 8 of the National Electric Energy Distribution Procedures (PRODIST), according to Brazilian Regulation Agency (ANEEL), that is, the pre-definition of rules, standards, parameters, and procedures about the quality of electric power supplied and the quality of the service provided. The PRODIST Procedure has a major analysis focused in the voltage supplied. The data sensors are based on studies of Duration Relative of Predary Stress (DRP) and Duration Relative of Transgression for Critical Stress (DRC). In this paper the results are presented and the challenged to supply this area with diversity of consumer profiles is commented.

The formations of bubble in the polystyrene latex (PSL) aqueous suspension were observed through out the electrophoretic deposition (EPD) process. The voltages in between of 20V to 50V were studied as a parameter for this study to investigate reason of bad quality of deposition when high voltage is applied in the EPD process. The objectives of the study are to observe the pattern and to determine of bubbles formation size on the stainless steel during pulse EPD process. The PSL suspension from pH 5 to 10 were prepared. The bubble formation was observed and size of bubbles was measured by using microscopic video. The difference voltages are applied on the suspension to observe the best condition with no or low bubbles formation when voltage applied. From the experiment, when the voltages increase, the number of bubbles increases. Observation shown that at low voltage the bubble tend to grow up and then burst during the process. As an addition, the sizes of bubbles decrease in base suspension though its increase in acid suspension.
