Background – The restaurant industry is a very competitive industry to attract and retain consumers. Restaurant owners need to understand how consumers want, need and perceptions. Word of mouth (WOM) has an important role in any effective marketing strategy for the restaurant industry. Purpose – This study aims to  determine  the  influence  of  food  quality, the quality of personal interaction, the quality of the physical environment, the perceived value, and the quality of the relationship (satisfaction, trust, and commitment) on the behavior of mouth-to-mouth intention of customers where to eat Javanese specialties in Surabaya. Design / Methodology / Approach – This study uses a sample of 200 respondents. The data processing method used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with LISREL 8.8 for Window software. The target population in this study is all people who have eaten and drank in one of the 10 places to eat Javanese specialties in Surabaya. The type of sampling in this study is accidental sampling or convenience sampling. Result and Discussion – Food quality, physical environment, personal interactional quality, perceived value have a significant positive effect on satisfaction. Satisfaction has a significant positive effect on Word of Mouth and trust. Satisfaction does not have an impact on the customer commitment to eating Javanese specialties in Surabaya. Trust has a significant positive effect on the customers' commitment to eating Javanese specialties in Surabaya. Trust and commitment have no influence on the word of mouth intention of customers to eat Javanese specialties in Surabaya. Conclusion – The results of the study found that customers of Javanese cuisine in Surabaya rated satisfaction as not the main assessment in forming a commitment to return to enjoy the food served. Business actors need to find and develop new things from other aspects such as beautifying interior and exterior buildings or increasing the variety of food and improving services and small things such as cleanliness. In the restaurant business, it is necessary to develop more value which is not owned by competitors. This makes it difficult for customers to find other alternatives.  Researh Limitations – In this study, it was found that the Commitment variable alone was not sufficient in measuring the relationship between commitment and word of mouth intention, researchers needed to measure the commitment variable into three parts, namely affective commitment, calculative commitment and normative commitment. By measuring the commitment dimension, further research is expected to see how the results of the impact of the commitment dimension on word of mouth intention in the service industry.

This research aims to understand whether food quality, personal interaction quality, physical environment qualtiy, and perceived value are positively related to satisfaction and its impact to commitment, trust, and word of mouth. The target population are customers who dined in healthy restaurants in Jakarta. The data was collected using questionnaire. There was a total of 403 respondents involved using convenience sampling method. The data was analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling approach of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results show that the food quality, personal interaction quality, physical environment quality, and perceived value were positively related to satisfaction. In addition, satisfction was also positively related to trust, commitment, and word of mouth. Meanwhile, commitment was positively related to word of mouth. However, trust was not positively related to word of mouth. This study aims to test and analyze the quality of the system against perceived usefulness, the quality of information against perceived usefulness, the quality of the system to user satisfaction, Information Quality to user satisfaction and perceived usefulness to user satisfaction. The population in this research is employees teller and customer service department of Bank BJB in subang city. Sampling technique is nonprobability sampling by using purposive sampling method. The type of data used is primary data with questionnaire data collection method. Hypothesis testing used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach with variance Structural equation test or better known as Partial Least Square (PLS). The result of the research shows that Quality System has a significant positive effect on Perceived Usefulness, Quality of Information has a significant positive effect on Perceived Usefulness, Quality of System has a significant positive effect on user satisfaction, Information Quality has positive significant effect on user satisfaction, and Perceived Usefulness has no effect to User Satisfaction

The culinary business is being increased rapidly in Pakistan. Usually, Pakistani consumers prefer to eat meals at homes cooked by female members owing to cultural, social and religious reason. In order to bridge up the gap in existing hospitality literature, the objective of this research manuscript is to find out the relation among dimensions of quality (food quality, service quality and quality of physical environment), customer satisfaction, restaurant image, behavioral intentions and customer perceived value in casual restaurants in Sukkur city. Data for this research study have been collected from customers of restaurants located in Sukkur city through convenience sampling. SPSS (24) and Smart PLS (3.0) versions were used for data analysis. Service quality dimensions of causal restaurant were found important determinants of the restaurant image and customer perceived value followed by physical environment and service quality; whereas, the physical environment quality was not found to be a significant factor of perceived value of customer. Additionally, food quality is measured as an important restaurant’s product. Another outcome of the present study exhibited that quality of physical environment holds a substantial positive effect on restaurant image. The findings indicate quality in food and service is highly important to satisfy customers and make their behavior positive about casual restaurant. Further, as an average temperature remains above 400 in Sukkur city, internal environment of the restaurant is significant as it will affect the mood and perception of customers when they dine in the casual restaurant.

This paper wants to examine the relationship of service quality, perceived value, satisfaction and loyalty with religious tourists who visit the island of Madura in 2015. The structural equation modeling results support the hypothesis that service quality affects directly the satisfaction and loyalty, and satisfaction directly affects loyalty, but the results do not support the hypothesis that the perceived value directly affects the satisfaction and perceived value directly affects loyalty. Quality of service only has direct and indirect influence on loyalty through satisfaction. So the stage of tourism development in Madura, quality of service is very important in building loyalty and satisfaction tourists

The use of AR technology for advertising is becoming more and more popular. For the efficacy of AR ad campaigns, consumers' attitudes towards AR ads are decisive. One of the major elements that determines consumers’ attitudes towards advertising is the perceived value of the ad. The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between AR ad value and consumer attitude and to investigate the factors that affect the perceived value of AR ads among the youth both in Turkey and Germany. The mentioned relations were represented in a research model developed in the study. It was proposed that informativeness, entertainment, novelty, interactivity and self-efficacy have a positive effect on advertising value while irritation and deceptiveness have a negative effect. It was also proposed that ad value affects consumers’ attitudes positively. To test the proposed hypotheses, online surveys were conducted among a group of 365 respondents in Germany and a group of 391 respondents in Turkey. The survey results were then tested by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Contrary to expectations, the proposed research model as a whole did not fit and the hypotheses were not supported for Turkish consumers. For German consumers the model was fitted and the hypotheses were supported.

This paper aims to identify the functional, symbolic, hedonic and Islamic value constructs of Muslim consumers’ satisfaction with fine dining restaurants. In addition, it develops the role of religiosity in the relationship between hedonic and Islamic symbolic values ​​in consumer satisfaction and examines the effect of such satisfaction on the willingness to pay more. The method used in the research is based on a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), with data collected using a questionnaire; 281 valid respondents took part in the study. The results show that in terms of the influence of the dimensions of perceived value in explaining customer satisfaction, the functional, hedonic and Islamic have has a positive and significant effect, whereas the symbolic value variable is is perceived to have no significant effect on satisfaction. Furthermore, customer satisfaction has a significant positive effect on the willingness to pay more. In comparison, religiosity does not moderate the effect of perceived symbolic value on consumer satisfaction. However, it does moderate the effect of hedonic and Islamic value.

Purpose This paper aims to explore tourist perceived value and attachment to intelligent voice assistants (IVAs) as antecedents of the quality of the human–IVA relationship in the hospitality domain. This research also examines the moderating role of psychological factors (self-esteem) and knowledge factors (past experience and technology expertise) in the relationships between antecedents and relationship quality. Design/methodology/approach The researchers conducted two quantitative studies, collecting data via online surveys in Mechanical Turk (n1 = 124 and n2 = 281). The proposed model was tested using partial least squares structural equation modeling. Findings The first study uncovers that tourist perceived value is the main influence on the quality of the relationship between tourists and IVAs. The second study confirms the direct relationships of the first and shows that self-esteem and technology expertise act as moderators. Practical implications This study advances the understanding of the tourism and hospitality stakeholders in using modern technologies (e.g. IVAs). Through comprehending the relationship building between individuals and IVAs, the stakeholders will be able to craft better strategies. Originality/value The study extends the attachment and social exchange theories to the tourist–IVA relationship context. Specifically, this research demonstrates the impact of tourist perceived value on the quality of the relationship with the IVA. It also points out that tourists’ self-esteem and technology expertise can weaken the tourist–IVA relationship.

This chapter explores the influence of empowering leadership on organizational commitment of Indian millennials. Also, the mediating effect of trust in the leader is examined. Primary data were collected from the sample of 440 IT employees working in Delhi/NCR. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to test the proposed relationships based on model fit and standard path coefficients. Findings indicate that empowering leadership has a significant positive effect on organizational commitment and trust in the leader, which also has a significant positive effect on organizational commitment, and trust in the leader has shown to have a partial mediating effect on the relationship between empowering leadership and organizational commitment of millennials. The chapter contributes to the limited empirical literature on the linkage between empowering leadership and organizational commitment in a generational context, specifically millennials in Indian context. The chapter provides a leadership-based approach to bolster organizational commitment of millennials.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to investigate the influence of trust and perceived risk on investment willingness considering the bidirectional relationship between trust and perceived risk in peer-to-peer (P2P) lending.Design/methodology/approachData were collected from a leading Chinese P2P platform, PPDAI.com. In total, 328 valid responses were received and analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM).FindingsThe results show that the influence of trust on investment willingness is significant, whereas that of perceived risk is insignificant. The results also indicate that platform reputation has a positive effect on trust, and the quality of alternatives is positively associated with perceived risk. In addition, the bidirectional perspective should be preferred to cope with the bidirectional relationship between trust and perceived risk in P2P lending.Originality/valueThis study extends existing research on the influence of trust and perceived risk on investment willingness from a bidirectional perspective, which has not been addressed in the P2P lending context. In addition, this research enriches the current literature about trust and perceived risk by providing more evidence that the relationship between trust and perceived risk is bidirectional and thus the bidirectional model should be preferred. For practice, the study suggests that managers can earn trust and reduce the perceived risk of lenders by continuously providing high-quality products, services and enhancing platform reputation, ultimately improving their investment willingness.
