The objective of this later unit is to manage the parking spaces available in the package by watching the development of the automobiles inside, allocating the spaces in a precise manner, watching consistence what's more, prompt the general control center (watched out for) of the space(s) open. It has a show interface for talking with the customers of the workplace. There is in like manner a control center that is watched out for by work power and screens the activities inside the parking structure. It is educated regarding any development, space(s) open and moreover the general system can be shut down or changed on from the control center. The basic goal of this errand is to achieve full motorization and it will find snappy use in tremendous workplaces with different access restrictions, government properties, and school grounds to sectionalize educator's auto stop and understudy's auto stop, etc.

Twelve year records of rainfall and of sewer inflow data in a housing area and in a parking lot in Lelystad were available. These data series contained 5-minute depths of rainfall and sewer inflow. Depth-duration-frequency curves were calculated from the monthly extremes, using Box-Cox transformation and a Gumbel distribution. The differences between the curves for rainfall and for inflow are explained by inertia and rainfall losses. These differences are the reason to use inflow as a sewer design parameter. Forthe choice of the design discharge (or inflow) intensity the curves are not well suited. Storage-design,discharge-frequency curves proved to be better interprétable. The selected design discharge is 4 or 5 m3/s/km2. For non-steady flow calculations in sewer systems an inflow profile has to be provided. The prof ileshould be peaked. The most common location of the peak lies between 20 and 50% of the event duration. The return period of the profile has to be known. A bivariate extreme value distribution is used to estimate this return period. From these distributions synthetic inflow profiles could be calculated.

Aims: To evaluate the real-life effect of photocatalytic surfaces on the air quality at two test-sites in Denmark. Background: Poor air quality is today one of the largest environmental issues, due to the adverse effects on human health associated with high levels of air pollution, including respiratory issues, cardiovascular disease (CVD), and lung cancer. NOx removal by TiO2 based photocatalysis is a tool to improve air quality locally in areas where people are exposed. Methods: Two test sites were constructed in Roskilde and Copenhage airport. In Roskilde, the existing asphalt at two parking lots was treated with TiO2 containing liquid and an in-situ ISO 22197-1 test setup was developed to enable in-situ evaluation of the activity of the asphalt. In CPH airport, photocatalytic concrete tiles were installed at the "kiss and fly" parking lot, and NOx levels were continuously monitored in 0.5 m by CLD at the active site and a comparable reference site before and after installation for a period of 2 years. Results: The Roskilde showed high stability of the photocatalytic coating with the activity being largely unchanged over a period of 2 years. The CPH airport study showed that the average NOx levels were decreased by 12 % comparing the before and after NOx concentrations at the active and reference site. Conclusion: The joined results of the two Danish demonstration projects illustrate a high stability of the photocatalytic coating as well as a high potential for improvements of the real-life air quality in polluted areas.

This case study presents the engineering approach conducted for stabilizing a landslide that occurred at “El Portalet” Pass in the Central Spanish Pyrenees activated due to the construction of a parking lot. Unlike common slope stabilization cases, measures projected here were aimed at slowing and controlling the landslide, and not completely stopping the movement. This decision was taken due to the slow movement of the landslide and the large unstable mass involved. The degree of success of the stabilization measures was assessed by stability analyses and data obtained from different geotechnical investigations and satellite survey techniques such as GB-SAR and DinSAR conducted by different authors in the area under study. The water table was found to be a critical factor in the landslide’s stability, and the tendency of the unstable slope for null movement (total stability) was related to the water table lowering process, which needs more than 10 years to occur due to regional and climatic issues. Results showed a good performance of the stabilization measures to control the landslide, demonstrating the effectiveness of the approach followed, and which became an example of a good response to the classical engineering duality cost–safety.
