The target of this PKM program is economically productive communities, namely people in housing in Banguntapan sub-district who have just established BMT covering aspects of marketing/socialization and management and accounting information systems (small businesses). The aim of the program is to develop an economically independent community with high literacy on syar'i transactions. Business partners in this program are BMTs that have just been established with a residential mosque base, namely BMT Sakinah, BMT Al-Anbiya and BMT Al-Huda. The problems faced by the three partners are: 1) Lack of competence and management in managing BMT, 2) Lack of legality, 3) Lack of Islamic financial literacy, so that BMT members still do not understand the function of BMT. As for the method of devotionare general lectures, short courses, tutorials and simulations. Materials that are focused on include the management and members of BMT: 1) Socialization of Transaction Contract applications legalized by the National Sharia Board, 2) Consolidating the understanding and application of Management Information Systems and Accounting Information Systems for BMT, for approximately eight months. The result of this dedicationis special assistance and provides BMT financial system software so that the BMT, BMT Sakinah (Puri Sakinah 2 Housing), BMT Al-Anbiya (Pesona Banguntapan Kotagede Housing) and BMT Al-Huda (Graha Banguntapan Housing) can manage accountably, professional and transparent. This program is expected to be able to facilitate the development of partner businesses so that they are able to provide a multiplier effect for housing-based BMTs and other newly established mosques.

Perceptions of nature depend on experiences relating to biodiversity, thus this study investigated the representation of invertebrates in different sections of Brazilian society by means of a questionnaire available from March to December 2015 as a resource in terms of the conservation of nature and human health in order to design an ethical values guide for this relationship. This study tested the hypotheses that there are differences in the conception and representation: a) associated with gender, educational level, use of animals in vocational training, tutoring, and housing area; b) according to the role assigned to invertebrates as a resource, including in conservation and health; and c) that the different representations result in different value assignments used to intermediate decisions on how, when, and why to use invertebrates. Thus, through quantitative and cross-sectional research, our objective was to identify the popular representation of invertebrates. The analysis of the results of an online questionnaire with 281 respondents showed definitions and concepts that were predominantly similar to the tested variables, which suggests that the present study provides evidence for the understanding of the ecological importance of the invertebrates, the belief in their sentience, and disagreement with the substitutive use of vertebrates in experimentation. However, the naturalistic and ecological positions regarding nature prevailed, indicating the persistence of utilitarian values. The results cast interpretive clues that the only by cooperation between education and environmental bioethics will possible the confluence of values and interests of animals and human in favor of a critical, ethical, and sustainable society.

Alabastern, a multicultural rental housing area in the Växjö city of Sweden, was identified as poor at recycling household waste compared to other housing areas in the town. In this paper, a qualitative and quantitative analysis is conducted to understand the underlying causes of waste recycling behaviour of the tenants. Results showed that majority of the studied participants perceived themselves to be environmentally friendly. They reported that they recycled household waste quite often, but it was the other tenants who did not sort their waste properly. The respondents identified the causes of the improper waste recycling as lack of attitude and awareness, limitation of communication, sense of insecurity, lack of means to transport bulky waste, limitation of the recycling room, and inadequate action by the housing company Växjöbostäder.

This research aims to study the changes in physical and social patterns among tsunami victims in Kedah, Malaysia by examining the relationship between their perceptions of safety and satisfaction. Data were obtained through a questionnaire survey on 109 respondents who live in Taman Permatang Katong, a new housing area built by the federal government. Results indicated the positive relationship between perception of safety and satisfaction. Meanwhile, social relations played a mediating role on the relationship between perception of safety and satisfaction. This finding implies that those who perceived the new resettlement area to be safer reported higher levels of social relations and, consequently, higher levels of satisfaction. Overall, the majority of residents in Taman Permatang Katong are satisfied with their new houses after the tsunami and feel safe in their area of residency. In conclusion, the resettlement programme should be well planned and should consider both social and physical aspects to improve the well-being of residents.

The practice of qualitative research demands reflexivity throughout the entire research process, with special attention directed towards researcher positioning. In this article, I explore how aspects and characteristics of my social situation positioned me contrary to my expectations regarding researcher positioning. I draw on individual interviews, focus group discussions and field notes about community-based health promotion interventions among residents of Danish, Turkish and Pakistani origin in a deprived social housing area in Denmark. Rather than insider-outsider positioning, the concept represented by the term ‘halfie’ unfolds the complexity of my researcher positioning: less minority ethnic than the residents of Turkish and Pakistani origin and less Danish than the residents of Danish origin, but similar to both, being a descendant of Sri Lankan Tamil origin brought up in a Danish social housing area. Finally, I present methodological and ethical implications of being a halfie in the context of qualitative health research.

Architectural Terracotta (ATC) is one of the most common materials in excavations from the Roman period. These ceramic building materials are an essential component of construction. Some of these pieces show potter´s marks, of different categories, that allow access to the production world of these materials. This investigation is a first typological classification of the 1216 marks from ATC materials, collected from 41 archaeological sites in Bracara Augusta (Braga, Portugal). Most of the marks were collected from the domus of Carvalheiras, one of the most emblematic archaeological sites of the city, currently under a musealization process. With this work it was possible to correlate the studied marks with specific terracotta types (shapes), context distribution and associated chronologies. The results suggested an organized and dynamic production, and an open-market, supported by numerous officinae, certainly of different sizes. Some of them were located near the housing area and reveal the presence of a large number of workers, including women and children. Further approaches on mineralogical, chemical and technological characterization of ATC, linked with stratigraphy, are under development.

Changes in land use, namely from cultivated land to closed land or settlements, make the water demand in the area increase, if the water that comes out is not balanced with the water that enters the ground, it will cause a decrease in the ground water level. Another problem that arises due to changes in land use is runoff, where runoff occurs due to rainfall exceeding the suction power or infiltration of the soil, so that over time the runoff becomes a puddle and can even cause flooding. One way to overcome these problems is to apply infiltration wells. This case study takes place in the Hang Tuah Cipta Residence Housing Area, Pekanbaru. From the results of field research and Hydrological data analysis revealed that the main existing drainage channel discharge with a discharge capacity of 0.923 m³/s is unable to accommodate the discharge that occurs at 1.19 m³/s. Segment or secondary drainage channels Q12 and Q13 are also unable to accommodate the discharge that occurs at 0.085 m³/s with a capacity of 0.06 m³/s. Based on the analysis results it is planned that the infiltration well with a radius of 0.5 m and a depth of 9 m which has a capacity of 0.0022 m³/s. After the planned discharge infiltration well comes out to be 0.88 m³/s, it means that the discharge does not exceed drainage capacity of 0.923m³/s.

Aim: To document the challenges of developing and executing an interviewer-driven survey questionnaire in an ethnically diverse and deprived social housing area undergoing reconstruction in Denmark. Methods: The survey was initially planned to be conducted in three waves (before, during and after reconstruction of the housing area), based on a questionnaire covering health, wellbeing and social relations. The first two waves took place in 2018 and 2019 (invited n=~600 per wave) and the third wave will be conducted once the reconstruction is finalised. The approach to the third wave is under revision by the research team. The questionnaire was translated from Danish into the seven most common languages in the housing area. A bilingual interview team went door to door interviewing residents. Field notes were collected systematically during each wave to document the process. Results: The response rates were 35% ( n=209) and 22% ( n=132) for waves 1 and 2, respectively. There was an overall decrease in response rates between waves 1 and 2 for all language groups, but particularly for Arabic and Turkish-speaking men. The most frequently stated reasons for non-participation included illness and language barriers. The key lessons learnt were that overcoming linguistic and cultural barriers to conducting research among residents in this social housing area requires time and resources. Conclusions: Several challenges are associated with conducting a survey in ethnically diverse and deprived social housing areas. Documenting the challenges and learning from experience are both important, in order to include this hard-to-reach population in health research.
