Data were analyzed using confirmatory data analysis and structured equations model and by means of AMOS (v.18) and SPSS (v.22) software. Findings: With respect to path coefficient (0.1) and significance level (0.788), the positive and significant relationship is not verified among performance of personnel and transformational leadership. Given path coefficient (0.84) and significant level (0.000), there is significant relationship among transformational leadership style and organizational culture. Similarly, there is direct and significant relationship among organizational culture and performance of personnel. Moreover, there is indirect and significant relationship among transformational leadership and performance of personnel by organizational culture. The effectiveness of higher education institutions must be measured in terms of research productivity, the ability to produce new knowledge in the form of research and publications. In this case, lecturers as academic staff are expected to have a high level of capacity, commitment, integrity and responsibility to achieve the stated teaching and learning goals. Then, the global challenges that must be faced increasingly demand the role of lecturers to be able to further improve their work performance to conduct research and publish it in reputable international journals such as Scopus Idexed and others. Lecturers are one of the important factors for creating competent university graduates, and the main role of tertiary institutions is teaching, research and community service and is directed to expand knowledge and open new avenues of science and technology. This study aims to analyze  the factors that influence the productivity of lecturers producing international scientific articles at Private Universities using Structural Equation Modeling. The data used are primary data by conducting surveys with a total of 310 respondents, and the analysis used includes validity, reliability, multiple linear regression, multiple tests, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the positive direct effect of transformational leadership style and communication on lecturer productivity. Both of these exogenous variables, transformational leadership style has a path coefficient value of py1 of 0.201 and CR (tcount) of 3.715, while the communication variable proves to be the most dominant influence on productivity as an endegent variable, 5,132.

These indicators include exemplary attitudes, inspiring motivation, intellectual stimulation and the rector's consideration for lecturers. Practically, the purpose of this article is to find out how the rector provides examples, inspires motivation and individual considerations in improving the performance of lecturers at Muhammadiyah universities. The operational research method uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological case study design. Data collection activities were carried out by means of observation, interviews with informants, and extracting information from documents. To ensure the validity of the research data, several methods are used, namely credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The results of the study explain that transformative leadership in Muhammadiyah universities objectively has provided an example with several things that are applied in attitudes, ideas, behavior and performance. While motivation is carried out by the Chancellor of the lecturers in several ways, namely through behavior, technical ability, supervision and policy. PurposeThe aim of this study is to evaluate to what extent the project team size influence the relation between transformational leadership and success of international development projects (IDPs). The paper draws on leader-member-exchange (LMX) theory and contextualizes transformational leadership style to temporary project environment particularly that of an official development assistance project in an African context.Design/methodology/approachThe research is based on the processing of a primary database collected by questionnaire from 111 coordinators of IDPs in Benin. The structural equation method based on the PLS approach was used to test our hypotheses.FindingsFirst, the preliminary results reveal that, in the context of IDP, projects managers are much more sensitive to the “management” and “visibility” dimensions than to the “impact” dimension of project success. Then, following the hypothesis test, the results show that transformational leadership has a direct positive influence on the success of IDP. Project team size does not play a moderating role in the relationship between transformational leadership and project success. Also, considering the effect of the specific dimensions of transformational leadership on IDP success, only the “idealized influence” dimension influences directly and positively on the latter.Originality/valueResearch calls for examining the role of team size vis-à-vis transformational leadership style and project success and calls in general for studying project manager's leadership styles. This study contributes to literature by answering such calls. In addition, the originality of this study lies in the evaluation of the influence of the specific dimensions because the exclusive use of leadership forms provides an imperfect and oversimplified picture of reality.
