The work of finding the best places according to user’s preferences can be a tedious task. We designed, created and tested software which can take the preferences from the user and provide the best places according to their preferences from the location with a certain radius in real time. This eliminates the extra task of researching about a place and helps the user to visualise the places according to the preferences in real time. This uses foursquare API to fetch the data for the locations. We have built a console application for this purpose and this can be transferred to web based system in future. The internet connection is a must during using of this application. The Map that is formed is visualised in a browser and can be saved for future use. We have provided certain features in the application that will improve the user’s experience.

We have developed a Ch Mechanism Toolkit for analysis and design of mechanisms. It was developed using Ch, an embeddable C/C++ interpreter with extensions. The Ch Mechanism Toolkit allows users to write simple programs for solving complicated planar mechanism problems. As an extension to the toolkit, a Web-based system was created for performing mechanism design and analysis through the internet. This paper will discuss the design and implementation of the Ch Mechanism Toolkit as well as its corresponding web-based system. The web-based mechanism system is especially suitable for distance learning. The web-based system for mechanism design and analysis is available on the Web at http://www.softintegration/webservices/mechanism/.

Abstract Real-time collaboration systems, in which participants share product data and applications in real time, have been a subject of interest for many years. Nowadays, a rapid development of Internet-based technologies with steadily increasing easiness in accessing any kind of information through the World Wide Web (WWW) would offer the possibility of developing a real-time collaborative system over the Internet. Two strategies are required to create such a system. One strategy is finding effective methods for communicating and sharing distributed product information, especially those related to design and manufacturing. Another strategy is developing Web-based approaches that support real-time sharing of platform-independent applications. In this paper, a concept for a multi-user collaborative assembly environment on the Internet is presented. The Client/Server structure of the environment, and the four main functional modules including: 1) integration and sharing of distributed product data through a STEP server; 2) session management including team management, user management and access control; 3) sharing of multimedia data (e.g. text, audio and video); 4) 3D collaborative assembly, are described. Finally, a scenario has been designed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the environment to support distributed collaborative assembly design.

Spurred by development in computer science and network technology, the use of the Internet has been expanding exponentially. It is now extensively used as a connectivity and reference tool for numerous commercial, personal, and educational purposes. In education, the Internet opens a variety of new avenues and methodologies for enhancing the experience of learning as well as expanding educational opportunities for a larger pool of students. Specifically, distance education and non-traditional classrooms have the capability to reach more students using specialized instruction and self-paced learning. In the area of distance education, many Web-based real time experimentation systems have been reported in the literature (Ando, Graziani, & Pitrone, 2003; Daponte, Grimaldi, & Marinov, 2002; Ko, Chen, Chen et al., 2000; Ko et al., 2001; Kumar, Sridharan, & Srinivasan, 2002; Yeung & Huang, 2003). These Internet-based remote laboratories allow users or students to carry out physical experimental work at their own pace anytime anywhere. They generally require very little physical space and minimal manpower to maintain, and are ideal for the sharing of expensive equipment. However, all these experimental systems can only provide 2D operation panels. Due to this limitation, the actual shapes of 3D instruments and equipment, some of which may have controls or display components on different sides, may not be possible to be reflected on the remote user’s client display window.

Kata kunci: absensi real time, sistem informasi.   Abstract: Networks for data communication were developed on computers and made the internet appear with many applications. The presentation of information generated from the internet is very diverse and depends on the needs of users. Information obtained by users, one of which is educational sites from elementary schools to tertiary institutions. Therefore, with the development of technology, Madrasah Aliyah Wasilatul Falah Banten designed a web-based real-time attendance information system. This attendance application provides fulfillment of user needs in entering data, changing data, deleting data, searching data, filtering data, and printing data. This information system can be one of the solutions that can be used to make it easier for teachers to collect student data, besides this application makes work easier, faster, and more efficient. In addition, it can also supervise the education of students in their attendance at madrasah and make parents know the process of their children's learning activities.   Keywords: information system, real-time attendance.

This paper presents the development of a real time web based system for monitoring and calibrating diesel engine using internet and ECU communication technologies. The development system consists of an in-vehicle device, capable of acquiring various engine data by LIN/CAN, a client tool and a web server for the application. The data is send from ECU through an in-vehicle device which collects and process information using KWP2000 protocol to server, thus allowing users to remotely monitoring and calibrating diesel engine from their office instead of testing from the scene.
