Abstract Zapp TiAl6V4 is an alpha-beta titanium alloy that is used in the annealed or solution heat treated and aged condition for applications requiring high strength, relatively low weight, and excellent corrosion resistance. It is typically used in the low to moderate temperature range (up to about 400 °C, or 750 °F). Ti-6Al-4V is the most widely used titanium alloy, accounting for more than 50% of the total titanium used. The aerospace industry accounts for more than 80% of this usage. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ti-173. Producer or source: Zapp AG.

Abstract Ti-8Mo-8V-2Fe-3A1 is a metastable beta titanium alloy that can be age hardened to high-strength levels. Aging in the range of 800-1200 F partially transforms beta to alpha to produce the high strength. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on low and high temperature performance, and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ti-68. Producer or source: Titanium Metals Corporation of America.

Abstract MST 431 is an alpha-beta type sheet alloy presently being supplied in the solution treated, solution treated and aged, and annealed conditions. Its principal advantage is good formability in the solution treated condition with subsequent high strength capability through an aging treatment. Properties indicate good strength and thermal stability for sheet applications up to 800 F for long times. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Ti-30. Producer or source: Reactive Metals Corporation.
