Circular Economy is the solution for the current environmental crisis, representing a huge economic opportunity to build new sustainable businesses. However, many barriers need to be faced for its implementation at industrial scale—firstly, the lack of data sharing between the different stakeholders of product value-chains. The DigiPrime project is an EU-funded Innovation Action aimed at developing and demonstrating a digital platform with services able to unlock innovative cross-sectorial business models for the remanufacturing and recycling of target value-added products. In this paper, the concept behind the DigiPrime project is reported, with a particular focus on the construction sector.

This paper proposes a proactive model to improve the overall performance of construction processes. The main advantage is that potential waste and associate impacts could be identified in the early stages of a project before the construction phase. To accomplish that, the model combines three methods; Lean-to identify waste, Green to assess environmental impact, and Six-Sigma to measure and improve process performance (LG6). The LG6 model helps in evaluating processes one step at a time, identifying consumed resources, analyzing the environmental performance of all steps as well as highlighting generated impacts, applying improving alternatives if needed, and measuring process performance for evaluation. The functionality of LG6 is illustrated through a case study of woodpiles installation. In this case study, the LG6 model identified four steps out of eight that are considered potential waste or (non-value-added steps) according to the Lean principles. As a result, the LG6 model helped in reducing impact by 9% and expenses by 1%. The LG6 model can help to improve the performance of construction processes and reduces unnecessary waste.

The article explores current theoretical and practical approaches to expanded implementation of the principles of sustainable development paradigm within corporations. The essence of Sustainable Corporation and Sustainability as a factor of formation of the long-term corporation value is determined; the relationships between corporate social and financial performance are described; the existing methods for developing sustainability key performance indicators are discussed. The authors present a structural-logical scheme and algorithm of assessment of sustainable value added using indirect method. The scheme characterizes the distribution of the value among internal and external, financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Objective: The article's objective is to develop scientific and methodical grounds to assess the green project within the advanced innovative development concept to deliver EU Environmental policy.Research Design & Methods: The most relevant for our aim are the sustainable development concept and the advanced innovative development concept. We used a broad literature review.Findings: The proposed approach is derived from the sustainable development concept and the advanced innovative development concept. It includes four types of projects: green projects, environmentally destructive projects, environmentally neutral projects, mixed ones. The sustainability index, recilience inxex, risks, including country risk, is calculated to enhance assessment accuracy.Implications & Recommendations: theoretical and methodic approach, improved by authors, to control innovative activity ecologization, based on EECI forecasts, allows stakeholders to reduce a risk of the innovative project and increase the assessment accuracy at its starting stages, enabling the increase of the strategic managerial decisions quality and, thereby, the environmental and economic security of stakeholders.Contribution & Value Added: The connection of three perspectives – economic, environmental and social – will capture the complexities of project management-oriented to advanced innovative development within the concept of sustainable development.

<p>This research is aimed to recognize the effect of environmental performance<br />and environmental disclosure to Economic Value Added as economic performance<br />measurement by using some variables control such as, profit margin, ownership,<br />environmental concern, and market performance. The type of research done is the type<br />of research by using hypothesis testing which is a research in explaining the relation<br />phenomena between variable. The data used in this research is from the annual financial<br />report and also the continued report of manufactured company listed in BEI and PROPER<br />in 2009-2012 with 17 companies. Analysis hypothesis used in this research is multy<br />linear regression and before doing the test, the classic asumption test of the data has<br />been done. The analysis shows that environmental performance and and social<br />accounting disclosure affect to Economic Value Added as the economic performance<br />measurement.<br />From the hypothesis, we can get the result that environmental performance and<br />social accounting disclosure doesn’t give any effect to the economic performance, but<br />The testing result hypothesis shows that environmental performance and social<br />accounting disclosure jointly effect to the economic performance.<br />Keywords : Environmental Performance, Social Accounting Disclosure, Economic<br />Performance,</p>

Sustainable development and globalization are becoming important subjects for policy makers to formulate the worldwide strategies and rubrics for ensuring simultaneous adoption of its components and monitoring of its consequences. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) published by United Nations are the guidelines to incorporate the assurance of sustainable development and its globalization. This study analyzes the sustainability from the perspective of not just the environment and the ecosystem of globe but also from the health and social aspects of humans. Indexes such as Environmental Performance Index (EPI) and Social progress Imperative (SPI) measure the performance of different countries based on the environment and the ecosystem by following Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and social goals, separately. However, the parameters used in those indices have significant limitations. In this work, the proposed Environmental and Social Sustainability Index (ESSI) offers a new model whereby new relevant sustainability parameters including social progress indicators are used to measure the performance of countries based on SDGs by using reliable data from international organizations. Finally, countries are categorized according to sustainable development goals that highlight the importance and significance of each sustainability parameter especially for developing and under developed nations.

The development of the ideology of sustainable development stimulated the emergence of companies’ Performance Management Systems with an emphasis on the environmental aspects of their activities. Benchmarking, as a modern management tool, is often used for competitive analysis and setting development goals. This study’s scientific problem is to assess the feasibility of applying benchmarking studies to assess the global industry’s environmental aspects. The purpose of the study is to identify the prerequisites for using benchmarking to improve environmental performance, as well as to identify best practices among world-leading companies. For benchmarking, a logical information model is proposed in the study. On its basis, eight world leaders were selected, trends in the industry’s development were analysed, and reference values of environmental indicators were established. For environmental performance assessment, it is proposed to use such indicators as greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, material efficiency, environmental management systems. Comparative benchmarking analysis of world leaders and 16 largest Ukrainian companies allowed determining the reserves for increasing environmental performance. The directions for increasing environmental performance are Investment in resource-saving technologies, production of higher value-added products, investments in energy-saving and new technologies, improvement of management systems, and certification. These ideas are complemented by recommendations for improving environmental performance, based on the Circular Economy Concept’s philosophy and Industry 4.0. The study’s practical significance is that Ukrainian companies can use their results to achieve higher environmental and economic outcomes.
