The article describes the problem of automated recognition of the anthropogenic elements of landscape. The recognition is based on the aerospace data in the optical range of the spectrum and a feature model of an object, consisting of the geometric and reflectance characteristics. Using this model, we formed training samples for a convolutional neural network. There is a real example of the practical implementation of the model in identification of the aviation objects.

Abstract A coordinated nexus of agricultural resources is vital to achieve food security and sustainable development in China. Comprehensively considering the water–energy–food nexus as well as the external environment, this study adopts a three-stage data envelopment analysis (DEA) modelling evaluation method to assess the agricultural production efficiency (APE) of seven provinces in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River (MLYR) during 1996–2015. The results show that the three-stage DEA modelling evaluation method reveals real APE and is considered to be a better quantitative method than conventional approaches. A gradually widening range of APE is an important challenge for this region. Significantly, this region generates huge demands for agricultural resources. Moreover, regional emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) decreased from 34.20 million tons standard coal in 1996 to 32.11 million tons standard coal in 2015, though APE has continued to decrease by 2.56% in the past two decades. In general, the management and technology levels should be improved simultaneously, even though specific opportunities for APE improvement vary across provinces in MLYR. However, understanding the temporal and spatial variation of APE along with the WEF nexus from a production-based insight is a vital step toward appropriately targeted policy making for nationwide resources savings and emissions reduction.

Through grey estimation of the parameters of logistic equation, a grey logistic forecasting model is established. The effective irrigation area in Liaoning Province was simulated by the model. The simulation results had good agreement with the available data, with a correlation of 0.95. The effective irrigation area was predicted to be 1.583 million hectares in 2018, very close to the predicted upper limit of 1.588 million hectares. Thus, there is little potential for the development of the effective irrigation area, rendering the structural adjustment of agricultural resources very necessary.

Like other neutral nations of Europe, Spain has been tremendously affected by the war. Though she has not been brought into such close contact with the great struggle as have Holland and the Scandinavian countries, because of her distance from the battlefields and the comparative insignificance of her commercial interests, she has nevertheless felt and is still feeling a great strain, the chief characteristics of which are economic. The cost of living in Spain has increased several fold. This is due in part to the difficulty in obtaining both manfactured articles and coal for her own industries and in part to the great scarcity of agricultural products: the result of the short-sighted policy followed up to the present of exporting food products which should have been retained at home. Though possessed of a greater arable area in proportion to her population than any other country in Europe except Russia, the methods of agricultural production in Spain are wofully deficient. As a result of her own backwardness and her failure to develop either her industrial or her agricultural resources, Spain is now suffering, to a lesser degree possibly, the same inconveniences which are disturbing Germany, France and England: namely, a scarcity of food; and she does not possess the artificial stimulus which those countries have to aid in overcoming it.

The irregularity of observation sites distribution and network density, lack data availability and discontinuity are the obstacles to analyzing and producing the information of agroclimate zone in South Kalimantan. TRMM satellite needs to be researched to overcome the limitations of surface observation data. This study intended to validate TRMM 3B43 satellite data with surface rainfall, to produce Oldeman agroclimate zone based on TRMM satellite data and to analyze the agroclimate zone for agricultural resources management. Data validation is done using the statistical method by analyzing the correlation value (r) and RMSE (Root Mean Square Error). The agroclimate zone is classified based on Oldeman climate classification type. The calculation results are mapped spatially using Arc GIS 10.2 software. The validation result of the TRMM satellite and surface rainfall data shows a high correlation value for the monthly average. The value of correlation coefficient is 0,97 and 25 mm for RMSE value. Oldeman agroclimate zone based on TRMM satellite data in south Kalimantan is divided into five climate zones, such as B1, B2, C1, C2, and D1.
