This research aims to examine and analyze the influence of growth opportunity, financial distress, and CEO retirement to the accounting conservatism at manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population of the research is the manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period of 2013-2017. This research used a purposive sampling method in the selection of the sample based on predetermined criteria. Based on these criteria, obtained samples as much as 37 companies during a five years period of observation. The data used a secondary data. The data collection method used a documentation method. This research using multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing using t-test, F-test and the determination of the coefficient. The results of this research indicate some of the factors that influences positively significant to accounting conservatism, such as growth opportunity and financial distress. CEO retirement has influences negatively significant to accounting conservatism.

Tax avoidance can be interpreted as an effort to avoid tax that is done in a legal and safe way for taxpayers because it does not conflict with applicable tax laws. This study aims to empirically examine the effect of financial distress and accounting conservatism on tax avoidance which is proxied by using a cash effective tax rate (CETR). The population in this study were all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2018 totaling 168 companies. The sample used was 44 companies with a total observation sample of 176 in 4 years. Data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Based on the analysis, it was found that the financial distress variable had a significant positive effect on tax avoidance, and accounting conservatism had a significant negative effect on tax avoidance. Conservatism is a precautionary principle that can be considered in accounting because a company has an uncertain or unexpected event. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of company size, capital intensity, debt covenant, and litigation risk on accounting conservatism. This study uses secondary data in the form of annual financial statements of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with the study period in 2017-2019. The population in this study were 168 manufacturing companies using a purposive sampling method, there were 25 company data included in the criteria. The analysis technique used is to use multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that at the time of the F Test all independent variables simultaneously influence accounting conservatism, and after the T test is performed shows that company size and debt covenant variables partially affect accounting conservatism, while other independent variables do not influence conservatism accounting, manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2019.

This research was intended to examine the influences of Accounting Conservatism and Economic Value Added toward Equity Valuation on manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The independent variables used in this research were Accounting Conservatism and Economic Value Added. This research used secondary data that was obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange official website, which has been published in 2011 until 2013. The technique that was used to gather the sample was purposive sampling and there were 18 companies. Which all sample (N) in three years was 54 samples. Those 54 samples would analyse further in this research.  The method used in this research was multiple linear regression analysis. The result of t-test showed that the first variable, accounting conservatism, had a negative and significant effect to equity valuation. The second variable, which was Economic Value Added, showed a positive and significant effect to equity valuation. The result of f-test accounting conservatism and Economic Value Added showed that both of them give simultaneously and significant effect to equity valuation.   Key Words:      Equity Valuation, Price Book Value, Accounting Conservatism, and Economic Value Added

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of financial distress and growth opportunities on accounting conservatism with litigation risk as a moderating variable. The population in this study were 147 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2017, with a purposive sampling technique so that 102 samples were obtained. The method of data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis and interaction testing with the help of the Eviews application program. The results showed that financial distress and growth opportunities partially had a positive and significant effect on accounting conservatism. Litigation risk as a moderating variable strengthens the effect of litigation risk on accounting conservatism, and litigation risk weakens the effect of growth opportunities on accounting conservatism on Manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2017.

Accounting conservatism is a precautionary principle applied by the company, where revenue is recognized more slowly while expenses are recognized more quickly, so net income will appear lower. The purpose of this research is to examine and analyze the effect of the size of the board of commissioners, leverage, frequency of audit committee meetings, financial distress, and firm size on the level of accounting conservatism in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2020 period. This study uses a population of all manufacturing companies that have been listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the last four periods, namely 2017-2020, obtained a population of 677 companies. The sampling method used in this study is a purposive sampling technique with several selected criteria so as to obtain a sample of 369 companies. This study uses secondary data in the form of numbers that are processed into a statistical measurement scale, so it is called secondary data. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the size of the board of commissioners (UDK) and the frequency of audit committee meetings (FPKA) have no effect on the level of accounting conservatism. Meanwhile, financial distress (Distress) and firm size (SIZE) have a significant negative effect on the level of accounting conservatism. Different direction with leverage (DAR) which has a significant effect in a positive direction on the level of accounting conservatism. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of : (1) Firm Size on Profitability (ROA). (2) Firm Size on Capital Structure (DER). (3) Profitability (ROA) on Capital Structure (DER) in the Manufacturing Sector Automotive Companies and Components on the IDX. The data used are secondary data using a sample of 13 automotive sector manufacturing companies and components listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. Sampling was done using a sensus method. This research uses a quantitative approach and the analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis (path analysis. The results of this study are: (1) FirmSize significantly has a positive effect on profitability (ROA). (2) Firm Size significantly has a positive effect on capital structure (DER). (3) Profitability (ROA) significantly has a positive effect on capital structure (DER).

This study aims to determine the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Total Assets (DAR), and Corporate Governance (CG) on tax avoidance in manufacturing companies listed on the IDX for the 2015-2019 period. Corporate Governance is proxied by the Composition of the Independent Commissioner, and Tax Avoidance is proxied by the Effective Tax Rate (ETR). The population in this study were 179 companies listed on the IDX. The sample selection used purposive sampling technique and the research sample was obtained as many as 60 companies. The data in this study are secondary data obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The data analysis used is descriptive analysis followed by the requirements test including normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and autocorrelation test. The statistical method used to analyze the data uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that Return on Assets (ROA) had a significant negative effect on tax avoidance. Meanwhile, Debt to Total Assets (DAR) and Corporate Governance (CG), which are proxied by the composition of the independent board of commissioners, have no effect on tax avoidance in manufacturing companies listed on the IDX for the 2015-2019 period.

The purpose of this study was to analyzed how much influence the return on assets (ROA), current ratio (CR), and debt ratio (DR) to the financial distress of coal mining companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange the period of 2010 – 2015. This study used secondary data obtained from IDX website with data collection method of purposive sampling then obtained 35 data sample research. Method of data analysis in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. Result of this research is return on assets (ROA) have significant positive effect to financial distress, current ratio (CR) has no positive significant effect on financialdistress, and debt ratio (DR) has a significant negative effect on financial distress of coal mining company. The results of this study obtained R square value of 0.869 which means the company’s financial distress condition can be predicted by using the four independent variabels.

This study aims to determine the effect of taxes, tunneling incentives, debt covenants, and profitability on the company's decision to transfer pricing. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from accessing the web www.idx.co.id. The population of this research was manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2017. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The number of companies sampled in the study was 27 companies so that the total sample of the study was 135 observations. This study used the multiple linear regression analysis technique. The results of this study known there are still many variables outside the research that can explain transfer pricing.The determination coefficient is 0.441 which means that 44.1%. It indicates that the company transfers pricing is influenced by these variables, while the rest is explained by other variables.Based on the  result can be concluded that taxes, debt covenants and profitability has a positive effect on the decision to transfer pricing. While the tunneling incentive does not effect the decision to conduct transfer pricing.Keywords: Tax, Tunneling Incentive, Debt Covenant, Profitability, and Transfer Pricing
