Introduction. Modern vehicles are equipped with radars, which serve as the main sensors of driver assistance systems detecting objects in all weather conditions. Antenna arrays (AA) are the most common type of radar antennas. The coefficient of mutual coupling between adjacent antenna channels has a significant effect on the formed radiation pattern (RP) of an AA. This aspect is important for achieving the required values of gain and side-lobe level (SLL). This article analyses the effect of the proposed design solutions on the main parameters of an automotive radar AA, in particular, on the mutual coupling coefficient between the channels and the SLL of the DP.Aim. To develop an optimal approach to constructing an AA topology in terms of reducing the level of mutual influence of adjacent array channels and obtaining a DP with specified characteristics.Materials and methods. To achieve the required parameters of the designed AA topology, the coplanar and microstrip lines were calculated using the finite element method and shield models.Results. An electrodynamic modeling of a millimetre-wave AA was carried out. The effect of coplanar transmission lines on the RP was shown. The features of applying shielding elements in the AA structure were investigated. Antenna patterns were obtained for both an AA designed based on coplanar transmission lines and that based on the use of shields. The conducted comparative analysis determined the parameters of the substrate optimal for achieving a better level of decoupling between adjacent antenna channels. The values of AA RP obtained during modeling were presented.Conclusion. The use of coplanar transmission lines can significantly reduce the SLL of the DP in the elevation plane. When implementing the module structure of an array (using of sub-arrays), the power dividers are realized. In this case, instead of coplanar lines, it is advisable to use specific microstrip constructions covered with shielding surfaces. In this case, the formation of a given amplitude-phase distribution over aperture is possible. A comparative analysis of the AA topologies with different substrates was carried out with the purpose of achieving improved decoupling. The obtained values of the coefficient of mutual influence of adjacent array channels correspond to those of modern AA of automotive radars. The methods of reducing the parasitic radiation of transmission lines were considered. The AA RP obtained via electrodynamic modeling were presented. The use of a thin substrate with a higher dielectric constant makes it possible to improve the AA characteristics.

Influence of the Aperture Edge Diffraction Effects on the Mutual Coupling Compensation Technique in Small Planar Antenna Arrays In this paper the quality of a technique to compensate for mutual coupling (and other phenomena) in small linear antenna arrays is investigated. The technique consists in calculation of a coupling matrix, which is than used to determine corrected antenna array excitation coefficients. Although the technique is known for more than 20 years, there is still very little information about how different phenomena existing in a real antenna arrays influence its performance. In this paper two models of antenna arrays are used. In the first model the effect of mutual coupling is separated from the aperture edge diffraction. In the second model antenna both mutual coupling and aperture edge diffraction effects are included. It is shown that mutual coupling itself can be compensated very well and an ultralow sidelobe level (i.e. -50 dB) could be achieved in practice. In the presence of diffraction effects -46.3 dB sidelobe level has been attained, but radiation pattern can be controled only in narrow angle range (i.e. up to ±60°).

This article proceeds from the fact that the problem of interaction and mutual influence is quite acute in literary studies. In this regard, the relevance of the research is due, firstly, to the correspondence to the priority direction of modern literary studies associated with the comparative analysis of the text, and secondly, to the need to disclose the deep theoretical and artistic content of creative communication of such artistic personalities of the XX century as M. Tsvetaeva and B. Pasternak, whose legacy still contains many lacunae. The methodological basis of the research is an integrated approach, including comparative-historical, historical-literary, comparative-typological, system-analytical and biographical methods, as well as the method of comparative studies, which allows to study literary analogies and connections of different national literatures, their refraction in the texts of the authors studied. Hermeneutics contributed to the mental comprehension of the analyzed texts, the mental processing of textual information. An important episode in the history of world poetry was the correspondence-dialogue of iconic poets for their time: M. Tsvetaeva and B. Pasternak. Correspondence is valuable not only because it shows us the life of poets in relation to time. The creative aspect of correspondence is very important. The rapprochement manifested in it and at the same time the repulsion was deeply creative and left deep traces in the legacy of all its participants. Poets, albeit to varying degrees, concentrated and passionately, sought to define for themselves the essence of life and poetry. In the course of the research, the author of the article comes to the conclusion that, firstly, the literary process is characterized by a systematic nature in which authors and their works are in certain relationships to each other. Secondly, the thirteen-year correspondence of M. Tsvetaeva with B. Pasternak was very significant for literature. Thanks to mutual communication, creative interaction, the poets created unique, emotionally deep works.

Antenna array pattern nulling is desirable in order to suppress the interfering signals. But in large antenna arrays, there is always a possibility of failure of some elements, which may degrade the radiation pattern with an increase in side lobe level (SLL) and removal of the nulls from desired position. In this paper a correction procedure is introduced based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) which maintains the nulling performance of the failed antenna array. Considering the faulty elements as nonradiating elements, PSO reoptimizes the weights of the remaining radiating elements to reshape the pattern. Simulation results for a Chebyshev array with imposed single, multiple, and broad nulls with failed antenna array are presented.
