In the process of ideological and political education, ideological and political courses, as a hot topic, can promote the construction of modern ideological and political teaching systems. Mainly from the perspective of morality building and people cultivating, this article takes the piano course as the main research object, introduces in detail the connotation of the ideological and political curriculum, the internal connection between the ideological and political curriculum and the piano curriculum, and explores the ideological and political teaching methods in the piano curriculum, in order to give colleagues in the industry some reference.

Abstract: In the current new era, the education in colleges and universities has entered a new stage of development. Instead of focusing only on professors with knowledge and skills, it has also begun to pay attention to the content of ideological and political education. The current ideological and political education in colleges and universities emphasizes the implementation and practice of the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and plays an important role in the cultivation of ideological and political education. However, in the new era, the responsibility of colleges and universities for the ideological and political education of students is even more arduous. We need to face challenges positively and improve teaching methods and approaches. This paper will analyse the specific challenges faced in the ideological and political teaching of colleges and universities, and propose corresponding reform measures.

Since General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward important conclusions on ideological and political education, there has been a wave of curriculum ideological and political construction in the teaching of professional disciplines in colleges and universities, which has provided guiding ideas and methods to implement morality building and people cultivating for professional discipline teaching, and has achieved remarkable results. Therefore, this article briefly discusses the connotation of ideological and political courses, and considers the core and methods of ideological and political construction of piano teaching in combination with piano teaching in colleges and universities, hoping to provide some references and inspirations for colleagues in the industry, promote the smooth progress of the ideological and political construction of piano teaching courses in colleges and universities, and achieve ideal results.

Since the idea of “Curriculum-Based Ideological and Political Education” was formally proposed in 2016, it has rapidly become a research hotspot in education reform. Although a large number of relevant studies have focused on the effective paths to curriculum-based ideological and political education in specific courses, there are few studies on how to integrate ideological and political education contents into particular courses under specific educational concepts and by particular teaching methods. Thus, this paper will explore how to improve the teaching effectiveness of curriculum-based ideological and political education in College English course with the OBE concept as the driving force and the case teaching method as the means. Finally, a few thoughts on the application of case teaching method in College English course are offered.
