Using solar energy for space heating is an efficient and simply way to satisfy the energy demands of buildings. In this study, a typical office building is selected as a case model to obtain indoor air temperature characteristics with dual heat storage devices. By analyzing our solar heating system, a mathematical model of the system working process is set up. Using the software matlab/simulink for simulation, the indoor air temperature characteristics in 1 day are obtained. Simulation and experimental results show good consistency. And using the mathematical model, the storage tank size is optimized to search for the minimum size for the fixed building. Based on our analysis, the optimum ratio of storage tank A volume and collector field area is 0.11 m. This research can be a good reference for the design of the solar heating system.

Taking household heating for an example, this paper has introduced the composition and characteristics of combined heating system with condensing wall-mounted boiler and solar water heater; and through the simple contrastive analysis of the economy and environmental protection with the solar heating system assisted by electric heating and wall-mounted gas heater, it is believed that the heating system combined with condensing gas heater and solar heating is the better choice of household heating considering its energy saving, economy and environmental protection.

Thermal stratification in the water storage tank of solar heating system is essential to increase the collection efficiency. We previously investigated the stratification performance of side-heating system, where the hot water returning from the collector heats up the side wall of storage tank. Subsequently, we studied an evolved heating system for further improvement, where we added an upper-heating to the side-heating. Here we thoroughly examine the stratification performance of the evolved heating system using TRNSYS-based simulation. As the essential result, contrary to expectation, evolved system does not show substantial improvement of collection efficiency compared to side-heating. However, we confirm that evolved system excels in the useful energy.

Based on the natural environment of Gansu YuMen oilfield in china, aiming at the winter heating requirements for oil field duty room, using the solar heating system that make solar energy storage and auxiliary electric heating, selection of flat plate collector, tacking double working medium for heat exchange indirectly, use the antifreeze liquid as the hot working medium, use the water as the energy storage and heating medium. According to the room temperature and medium temperature, intelligent control system adjust and control the double medium circulation loop, automatic regulating the intermittent work time for auxiliary electric heating system, the problem of antifreeze and sand prevention be solved effectively in the extreme temperatures. Compared to the electric heater heating, it can realize energy saving and environmental protection, the energy saving effect more than 46%, having remarkable economic and social benefits.
