Using the concept of binary relation R , we initiate a notion of Θ R -contraction and obtain some fixed point results for such mappings in the setting of complete metric spaces. Furthermore, we establish some new results of fixed points of N-order. Consequently, we improve and generalize the corresponding known fixed point results. As an application of our main result, we provide the existence of a solution for a class of nonlinear matrix equations. A numerical example is also presented to illustrate the theoretical findings.

Abstract Altun et al. explored the existence of fixed points for multivalued F F -contractions and proved some fixed point theorems in complete metric spaces. This paper extended the results of Altun et al. in partial metric spaces and proved fixed point theorems for multivalued F F -contraction mappings. Some illustrative examples are provided to support our results. Moreover, an application for the existence of a solution of an integral equation is also enunciated, showing the materiality of the obtained results.

In this paper, we initiate the notion of generalized multivalued ( α K * , Υ , Λ ) -contractions and provide some new common fixed point results in the class of α K -complete partial b-metric spaces. The obtained results are an improvement of several comparable results in the existing literature. We set up an example to elucidate our main result. Moreover, we present applications dealing with the existence of a solution for systems either of functional equations or of nonlinear matrix equations.

This paper aims to analyze the existence of fixed points for mappings defined on complete metric spaces satisfying almost contractive conditions and a general contractive inequality of integral type. The existence of a fixed point is ensured by hypotheses formulated in terms of equivalent metric spaces.

We use the notions of left- and right-complete quasi- b -metric spaces and partial ordered sets to obtain a couple of common fixed-point results for strictly weakly isotone increasing mappings and relatively weakly increasing mappings, which satisfy a pair of almost generalized contractive conditions. To illustrate our results, throughout the paper, we give several relevant examples. Further, we use our results to establish sufficient conditions for existence and uniqueness of solution of a system of nonlinear matrix equations and a pair of fractional differential equations. Finally, we provide a nontrivial example to validate the sufficient conditions for nonlinear matrix equations with numerical approximations.

In this paper, we introduce the notion of C ´ iri c ´ type α - ψ - Θ -contraction and prove best proximity point results in the context of complete metric spaces. Moreover, we prove some best proximity point results in partially ordered complete metric spaces through our main results. As a consequence, we obtain some fixed point results for such contraction in complete metric and partially ordered complete metric spaces. Examples are given to illustrate the results obtained. Moreover, we present the existence of a positive definite solution of nonlinear matrix equation X = Q + ∑ i = 1 m A i * γ ( X ) A i and give a numerical example.

Recently, Samet et al. (2012) introduced the notion ofα-ψ-contractive mappings and established some fixed point results in the setting of complete metric spaces. In this paper, we introduce the notion of weakα-ψ-contractive mappings and give fixed point results for this class of mappings in the setting of partial metric spaces. Also, we deduce fixed point results in ordered partial metric spaces. Our results extend and generalize the results of Samet et al.

AbstractThe aim of this paper is to introduce the concept of a new nonlinear multi-valued mapping so called weakly (α, ψ, ξ)-contractive mapping and prove fixed point results for such mappings in metric spaces. Our results unify, generalize and complement various results from the literature. We give some examples which support our main results while previous results in literature are not applicable. Also, we analyze the existence of fixed points for mappings satisfying a general contractive inequality of integral type. Many fixed point results for multi-valued mappings in metric spaces endowed with an arbitrary binary relation and metric spaces endowed with graph are given here to illustrate the results in this paper.

AbstractIn this paper, we introduce the notion of an F-weak contraction and prove a fixed point theorem for F-weak contractions. Examples are given to show that our result is a proper extension of some results known in the literature

This paper deals with an interesting open problem of B.E. Rhoades (Contemporary Math. (Amer. Math. Soc.) 72(1988), 233-245) on the existence of general contractive conditions which have fixed points, but are not necessarily continuous at the fixed points. We propose some more solutions to this problem by introducing two new types of contractive mappings, that is, A-contractive and A`-contractive, which are, in some sense, more appropriate than those of the important previous attempts. We establish some new fixed point results involving these two contractive mappings in compact metric spaces and also in complete metric spaces and show that these contractive mappings are not necessarily continuous at their fixed points. Finally, we suggest an applicable area, where our main results may be employed.

In this paper, we introduce the concept of ?-partial weakly Zamfirescu mappings and give some approximate fixed point results for this mapping in ?-complete metric spaces. We also give some approximate fixed point results in ?-complete metric space endowed with an arbitrary binary relation and approximate fixed point results in ?-complete metric space endowed with graph. As application, we give homotopy results for ?-partial weakly Zamfirescu mapping.
