Hybrid models combine physics-based models and data-driven models. This combination is a useful technique to detect fault and predict the current degradation of equipment. This paper proposes a physics-based model, which will be part of a hybrid model, for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system installed in the passenger vehicle of a train. The physics-based model is divided into four main parts: heating subsystems, cooling subsystems, ventilation subsystems, and cabin thermal networking subsystems. These subsystems are developed when considering the sensors that are located in the real system, so the model can be linked via the acquired sensor data and virtual sensor data to improve the detectability of failure modes. Thus, the physics-based model can be synchronized with the real system to provide better simulation results. The paper also considers diagnostics and prognostics performance. First, it looks at the current situation of the maintenance strategy for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning system, and the number of failure modes that the maintenance team can detect. Second, it determines the expected improvement using hybrid modelling to maintain the system. This improvement is based on the capabilities of detecting new failure modes. The paper concludes by suggesting the future capabilities of hybrid models.

The arrangement positions and the quantities are different for different types of cranes. In order to make suitable decision, much investigate and survey was done at preliminary stage, and we know that the flange connected gate legs and turntables, the connections between load-bearing beam and rotary column under the engine room and the connections between jib and turntable are easy to lose efficient, and their mainly failure modes are cracks. By the method of finite element, 32 sensors (including 21 welding strain FBG sensors and 11 temperature FBG sensors) were used after doing much investigate and survey and finite element modeling analysis, which are arranged in different places of a gantry crane of MQ2533, for real-time structure health monitoring. This method makes the sensor data obtained more realistically reflects the crane structural condition, which provides reliable data support for crane safety monitoring and safety evaluation. Then a software platform is developed to monitor the real-time stress. If the real-time stress exceeds the allowable stress, it issues an alarm signal to the operator.

AbstractThis study is a design of an alternative real value hybrid model for the valuation of reversionary leasehold investment properties characterized by divergence in the revision period of sub-rent and head rent respectively. The development of this model commenced with a synthesis of inputs for the modified rational- and real value hybrid models, and the derivation of an equivalent cash flow multiplier for terminal investments. With exception of the generic real value model, term incomes across all other contemporary models including the alternative real value hybrid model were discounted using the equated yield. The discounted reversionary cash flows in the valuation template associated with the alternative real value hybrid model appears identical to that in the generic real value model, while exhibiting itself as a surrogate reversionary income multiplier for the modified rational, and the real value/short-cut DCF models respectively. The alternative real value hybrid model was validated as capable of producing valuations that are identical to those churned out from all the existing contemporary models for the valuation of this category of reversionary leasehold investment property. The study is a novel attempt towards redesigning the modified rational model of leasehold investment property valuation and according it a real value perspective.

Air conditioning systems were invented to improve human comfort in a room or hall. An efficient air conditioner systems are always needed to minimize the power consumption. There are several settings with lot of control devices were introduced in the past years to achieve minimal energy consumption rate. Those control systems were minimized the energy consumption to certain limit without considering human comfort. The proposed model is designed to minimize the energy consumption with maximum human comfort. Several sensor modules were introduced in the model to predict human comfort level in a room or hall. The sensor data are taken as feedback to the air conditioning system for attaining maximum human comfort level. The proposed design is verified with energy consumption calculation and change in room temperature measurements.

The present work seeks to answer some questions about the need to find a low operation cost air conditioning system adapted for small spaces, considering the efficiency. Under this scheme and by analysing the systems currently used, we find the Peltier cells; in spite of being a phenomenon discovered already several years ago, there exist neither concrete studies that demonstrate the real efficiency of the cells, or analysis that adequate to our needs. In addition, the cooling results obtained due the Peltier cells implementation as an air conditioning system can be observed. Also it is included the behavior of the applied values of current and voltage in the process. In order to obtain and save the values with a major precision and quality in the presentation of the samplings, a virtual instrument was used for the acquisition and processing the information using LabVIEW Software and DAQ cards. The results show the opportunity areas for using the Peltier Cells in order to find new applications to this technology
