The application of technology in various aspects of life has made it easy for many people. However, there are also shortcomings in the use of technology, one of which is security issues, both transactions and data. Given these issues in this paper, we propose blockchain technology for an authentication system that will protect data rights and interests and be safe from interference to store information in the form of confidential text, especially in the application of technology in education. From this writing, there are 2 benefits, the first is that all data stored in the education system is guaranteed and there will be increased trust from both parents, teachers and other parties due to the decentralized nature of blockchain.

Purpose This paper aims to provide a systematic literature review on blockchain technology in education to offer a detailed understanding of the present scenario in terms of benefits, barriers, present blockchain technology application and future areas where blockchain technology can be implemented in the other fields of education. Design/methodology/approach A bibliometric analysis is conducted on for data in the publications, journals, authors and citations were collected, and examined by applying bibliometric measures. The data was collected from SCOPUS database on the topic “Blockchain Technology in Education”. The following research questions guided this systematic literature review (SLR: How blockchain technology has been defined in educational settings? How were the technology examined (i.e. the methodology)? What were the results of using this technology in an education system? Findings The study identifies the benefits, barriers and present application of blockchain technology in education. The analysis shows that blockchain technology in education is still a young discipline, but has a lot of potential to benefits the educational sector at large. Practical implications This research provides a groundwork for education institutions, the policymakers and researchers to explore other areas where blockchain technology can be implemented, though this research has also suggested some prospective uses of blockchain technology in different functions of an education system, more application can be brought into the education system to exploit the potential of blockchain technology. Originality/value The paper discusses the application of blockchain technology in education with the help of bibliometric analysis. This is one of the first known studies to review the blockchain technology by identifying its benefits, barriers, present blockchain technology application. Based on the analysis, future application areas are also identified.

The article is devoted to the blockchain technology that that has been booming in recent years. The purpose of the article is to review the literature on the modern possibilities of using blockchain technology in the education system. A brief description of blockchain technology is given, modern directions for its development are put forward. The article analyzes the possibilities and prospects of using blockchain to solve some problems in the education system, describes the features and advantages of using blockchain technology in the field of education that are known today. The positive changes in the educational process, which may result from the use of this technology are defined. The article discusses the shortcomings and problems associated with the use of blockchain technology in education. Methods and materials: a systematic search of literature on Google Scholar databases was performed, works on the use of BT in education were reviewed, and materials on blockchain technology in education that are available on Research Gate were analyzed. The authors outline that most projects using the blockchain in education are under development. Currently, there is already data on the implementation of blockchain technology in the form of confirmation of the authenticity of documents on education, a student’s personal card, confirmation of accreditation of an educational organization and intellectual property, student identification. Results. 67 papers were identified in the Google Scholar database and 80 publications in the eLibrary database. A large number of online conversations on the topic under study were revealed, and 25 publications turned out to be full-text journal articles. The authors noted that every day there are new articles, reports about the organization of startups, the formation of research teams working to study the possibilities of using BT in the education system. Conclusions. The authors summarize the possibilities of using blockchain technologies in the field of education. The interdisciplinary approach and cooperation of educators with blockchain specialists will keep up with the booming digital technologies.

The Blockchain for Education platform helps us to make the tamper-proof certificates and their correct and the overall permanent allocation of these certificates to learners, as well as verification of certificates. It can reduce the overall frauds and tampering of the degrees and certificates. Blockchain technology can be used to solve many educational problems and can help educators as well as learners to monitor the learning outcomes. The data can be stored securely and tamper proof format when it’s stored onto the blockchain network. Here smart contracts can be designed and deployed on to the Ethereum blockchain that can be designed using the solidity programming language. Blockchain can be applied to private, public and consortium sectors depending upon the usage and the scope of the blockchain. Education system can take benefit of this scalability of the blockchain and can be effectively useful in the educational institutions.

The development of technology in education has produced many innovations to support the learning process. The large variety of learning media is the digital competence of education, which is very much needed in higher education .  However, from several universities, there are still many that do not have adequate digital competence. This study uses a survey method that will be calculated quantitatively through a Likert Scale calculation. The design of this cooperative education management system uses E-Portfolio Integration stored in cloud computing based on Blockchain technology. The Blockchain process will be helpful as a literary platform for researchers who will start research on Blockchain technology for digital education so that the results of digital competence cannot be taken over by third parties and are transparent, and this is the solution to the problems in this research. Based on the study results, it can be seen that the Student-Centered iLearning Blockchain (SCi-B) with E-Portfolio is supported by Blockchain technology that can meet the needs of universities and improve cooperative education on digital competence.

Abstract This research ferreted out to inspect the interconnection between emotional intelligence (EI), Blockchain technology application (BLO) and the effectiveness of Accounting information system (AIS). Survey-based data obtained from 412 respondents were applied to validate the model hypotheses. Building on the statistical analysis with the support of SPSS 25.0 and SMART- PLS (partial least squares) 3.2.8 software package, the model results inferred the impact of EI on BLO. Besides, the outputs of the study accentuated on the importance of BLO on the effectiveness of AIS. These significant additions will optimistically inspire other scholars to carry on exploring the relationship between EI and BLO in enhancing the effectiveness of AIS in research settings as well as in explaining the results. On the other hand, taking these results into consideration could promote much better solutions for issues relevant to EI and new technology application among public sector organization (PSO) in term of increasing the performance of AIS.
