Predictive maintenance consists of monitoring data obtained from monitoring, with the main results of increasing the availability and reliability of equipment. Several non-destructive testing can be performed by this type of maintenance, with vibration analysis being one of the most common. The aim of this study is to evaluate the relevance of vibration analysis in the context of industrial predictive maintenance, as well as its applicability in mechanical and electrical equipment. The scientific production of this article was based on the experiments carried out by several authors in their areas of expertise, based on bibliographic source. It was concluded that the vibration analysis is an important test for the application of predictive maintenance, being able to be implemented in several equipments, besides being a method that contributes directly to the reduction of costs in the supply chain. Finally, it is necessary to take into account that there are points of attention that must be considered for a more adequate implementation of the method.

The purpose of the research consists in improving the theoretical basis for non-destructive quality control methods in the context of digitalization and an active transition to Industry 4.0. The methodology used by authors include the consideration of the logistics network digital twin, as well as globalization of markets and ever-increasing global competition in all areas. The article discusses non-destructive quality control methods based on the process of modeling digital twins and the authors’ approach proves the advantages of just such an innovative concept of expanding the definition of logistics network digital twin in comparison with the traditional methods of non-destructive quality control. It could be shown that this approach eventually leads the ability of industries to switch to digitalization of their processes. Saying precisely the improving of the quality control methods could be treated as digitalization of their supply chains, reflecting the entire product life cycle. We have displayed a digital supply chain, which includes the method of non-destructive testing, like a digital twin. The main difference between the digital supply chain and the traditional supply chain is noted. The ideas of large audit companies such as Gartner’s, Siemens and Deloitte are analyzed. What are the benefits of using a digital twin as a non-destructive testing method? All participants of this digital supply chain receive their benefits in terms of digitalization and market competition.

Measurement of partial discharges (PD) is a generally accepted method of diagnosing the insulation of electrical equipment worldwide. Today, the trend is to move from conventional offline testing to online monitoring to predict the service life of insulation. For testing and calibration of the developed new methods with the contact method, a laboratory stand has been developed in accordance with GOST R 55191-2012 (IEC 60270:2000). The article suggests the use of acoustic and electromagnetic methods for a system of continuous non-contact non-destructive testing of the technical condition of insulation equipment, which will allow monitoring insulation equipment online and predicting its residual life. On their basis, a system of «on-line» diagnostics of high-voltage insulators has been developed.

Modern way of machines’ exploitation, due to their high level of structural complication, requiresproper level of supervising. This is enabled by more than 60 years’ development of the inspection andmaintenance technologies. Nowadays it focuses on preventing the unplanned accidents by detection of prefailure states and predictive a future trend of the machine. To detect the problem and avoid the failure veryimportant and essential is to develop the Non Destructive Testing (NDT) and Condition Monitoring includingassessment of working process, vibration analysis, oil purity testing, endoscopic, ultrasonic and thermalanalysis. The paper presents a design and structure of the Exploitation Decision Aid System dedicated fordiagnosis of marine engines condition. There are also presented examples of results obtained with use of thesystem.

A computer model and the results of a numerical experiment for a sensitive element on a planar mushroom-shaped metamaterial with cells of the “Maltese cross” type are presented. The proposed electrodynamic structure is shown to be applicable for nondestructive testing of geometric and electrophysical parameters of technological media, as well as searching for inhomogeneities in them. Resonant frequency shift and change of the attenuation coefficient value of the structure serve as informative parameters.
