The article summarizes the long-term experience of practical application of domestic breakthrough technologies of preventive personalized medicine for laboratory diagnostics of a wide range of socially significant non-infectious diseases. Conceptual approaches to the formation of an integrated program for early detection and prevention of civilization diseases based on these technologies are given. A vision of the prospects for the development of this area in domestic and foreign medicine has been formed.

The degradation of a mixture of hydroxy- and methoxy-PCB obtained as a result of a chemical modification of a commercial mixture of PCB «Sovol» by the Rhodococcus wratislaviensis strain KT112-7 in plankton culture or immobilized on carbon carriers has been investigated. It was established that the KT112-7 strain in plankton culture degraded 73.2% of a mixture of modified PCBs for 96 h; the strain immobilized on BAU-A activated carbon and on Carbopon-B-active carbon fiber provided the 59.5% and 95.3% degradation for the same time, respectively (with the starting concentration of PBS of 0.5 g/L). The application of the R. wratislaviensis KT112-7 strain immobilized on the BAU-A carrier decreased the number of the PCB derivatives by 1.5 times at the end of the experiment; the corresponding result for the Carbopon-B-active-immobilized culture was 3 times; the set of PCBs after the treatment with the suspension culture remained unchanged. In practice, the immobilization of R. wratislaviensis КТ112-7 strain on carbon carriers can be used in the development of the techniques for the degradation of chemically modified PCB mixtures. polychlorinated biphenyls, immobilization, destruction, utilization, PCB, Rhodococcus. Leveraging point-level spatial data from the Phoenix area, we consider the role of nearby organizations as contextual factors that amplify or reduce reoffending risk among juvenile offenders after court completion. Using survival models, we examine whether residential proximity to seven types of organizations impacts risk of recidivism, net of neighborhood disadvantage and offender characteristics. Aggregate neighborhood disadvantage was not associated with reoffending risk and organizational findings were mixed. Low-level offenders with more total organizations nearby had a higher risk of new property offenses, while the risk of drug and violent reoffending nearly doubled for diversion youth residing near police facilities or detention centers. Individual demographics and prior offense histories remained the strongest, most consistent predictors of juvenile recidivism.

AbstractWhile numerous support programs have evolved to support underrepresented students in higher education, these programs are often disconnected from the curriculum and only target one area of student need. Emerging research indicates that integrated programs which combine multiple curricular and co-curricular supports may be a more effective way to support historically underserved students. In this article, we report on one such integrated program in the United States,CSU STEMCollaboratives. We describe how integrated programs benefit students as well as the broader campus community by creating a unified community of support that fosters collaboration and connection.

This article explores women’s experiences of the women’s safety services associated with a South Australian integrated program for male perpetrators of domestic and family violence. As small scale and exploratory, the study aimed to understand impact of such services on women’s perceptions of safety. Interviews were conducted by telephone, using a semi-structured format, with 14 women whose partners or ex-partners had been referred to a perpetrator intervention program. Informed by a feminist standpoint perspective, thematic analysis was used to explore each woman’s experience and perception of safety. The findings of the study suggest that integrated domestic and family violence programs can improve women’s feelings of safety through the application of practical safety planning, timely intervention, emotional support, and trauma-focused practice. Importantly, while the behaviors and actions of perpetrators were clearly relevant to women’s perceived safety, it was apparent that focusing on women’s strengths and capacity for recovery can significantly impact on their continued sense of safety and well-being. This article also reiterates the importance of women’s perspectives in evaluating the effectiveness of perpetrator interventions.

Significant decrease in death rates from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) can be achieved by developing and implementing an integrated program of administrative interventions focused on improvements in the provision of the first aid and emergency medical care. However, both identification of the foreground and reasonable components of the program, and evaluation of its efficiency are impossible in the absence of reliable tools for collecting and analyzing data on epidemiology of OHCA and performance of the prehospital care system. This paper discusses the development of unified form for collecting data on cases of OHCA with attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), addresses the promising data form “The protocol of CPR” that is recommended by the Specialized Board on Emergency Medical Care of the Ministry of Health of Russia, and offers a set of proposals for optimizing the form with consideration for the international guidelines for uniform reporting of data from OHCA.Author declare lack of the conflicts of interests.
