Hypothyroidism is a condition characterized by a deficit of thyroid hormones that leads to a low metabolic rate, typically associated with lethargy. The causes are diverse and may vary from congenital defects and autoimmune disorders to iodine deficiency, the latter being easily preventable with the appropriate strategies. For this chapter, the authors documented a social media awareness campaign via Instagram, whose purpose was to do popular science about hypothyroidism's symptoms to promote early detection and prevention. This campaign took place from October to November 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign consisted of informative posts and engaged the audience via questionnaires through Instagram stories. Lastly, an online questionnaire was shared to assess the gained knowledge of the viewers and evaluate the campaign's efficacy. The social media awareness campaign showed to be a feasible way to educate the community, enabling efficient health promotion strategies through digital platforms.

People have been familiar with applications since the introduction of computers as a tool in completing work, whether in offices, companies and other businesses, where applications are now not a rare item because almost all people have smartphones. The Inarisk Disaster Application and BMKG Info that have been issued by BNPB and BMKG is an application that can be accessed by the general public to find out the possible places where disasters will occur around us, both natural and non-natural disasters. Indonesia is one of the countries that is very prone to disasters where Indonesia has several tectonic plates and is also traversed by the ring of fire zone which is very susceptible to various kinds of disasters so that a breakthrough is needed in making applications that can be connected and accessible to the public, not only those who have smartphones. live in urban areas but people live in remote areas. The government's efforts in realizing a more comprehensive disaster application need to be realized immediately because society is currently moving towards society 5.0. where all work and activities are supported by application-based technology, in addition to the existence of disaster applications, it means that the community and government can carry out early detection and prevention of possible disasters that will occur.

Gait and physical fitness are related to cognitive function. A decrease in motor function and physical fitness can serve as an indicator of declining global cognitive function in older adults. This study aims to use machine learning (ML) to identify important features of gait and physical fitness to predict a decline in global cognitive function in older adults. A total of three hundred and six participants aged seventy-five years or older were included in the study, and their gait performance at various speeds and physical fitness were evaluated. Eight ML models were applied to data ranked by the p-value (LP) of linear regression and the importance gain (XI) of XGboost. Five optimal features were selected using elastic net on the LP data for men, and twenty optimal features were selected using support vector machine on the XI data for women. Thus, the important features for predicting a potential decline in global cognitive function in older adults were successfully identified herein. The proposed ML approach could inspire future studies on the early detection and prevention of cognitive function decline in older adults.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the Kingdom of Bhutan. Thus, the early detection and prevention of hypertension is critical for reducing cardiovascular disease. However, the influence of sociocultural factors on vulnerability to hypertension needs further investigation. This study performed secondary data analysis on 1,909 individuals in a cross-sectional study (the National survey for noncommunicable disease risk factors and mental health using World Health Organization (WHO) STEPS approach in Bhutan– 2014). Multivariate logistic regression demonstrated a significant association between gender with marital status and hypertension. Women had a higher odds ratio than men (Ref) when married (AOR: 1.27, 95% confidence intervals (CI): 1.23–1.31), and when separated, divorced, or widowed (AOR: 1.18, 95% CI: 1.12–1.26). People who speak the Tshanglakha language scored the highest odds (AOR: 1.24, 95% CI: 1.20–1.27), followed by Lhotshamkha (AOR: 1.09, 95% CI: 1.06–1.12) and Dzongkha (Ref) after adjusting for various social and biomedical factors. Additionally, tobacco use displayed decreased odds for hypertension. To promote the early detection and prevention of hypertension, these cultural factors should be considered even within small geographic areas, such as Bhutan. It is necessary to strengthen hypertension preventive strategies for people who speak Tshanglakha and Lhotshamkha. Furthermore, careful consideration should be given to preventing hypertension among adults aged 40 years or more, women who are married, separated, divorced, or widowed, and men who never married in Bhutan.

Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the psychological impact (anxiety, stress and depression) on postgraduate Gynae residents in Pakistan during COVID-19. Study Design: Cross-sectional study Place and Duration: The study was conducted through a questionnaire of Google Proforma which was distributed among the PGRs of Gynae and Obs department of different centres of Pakistan. The study was conducted for nine months during from April 2020 to December 2020. Methods: Total 180 participants (PGRs) were presented in this study. Complete characteristics of the participant were obtained. Postgraduate Gynae Residents from different centers were enrolled in this study. DASS-21 scale was used to measure the severity of anxiety, depression and stress among all participants. Complete data was analyzed by SPSS 24.0 version. Results: Mean age of the participants was 30.24±3.08 years. 109 (60.5%) participants were married and the rest 71 (39.5%) were unmarried residents. Frequency of depression was found among 130 (72.2%) participants followed by anxiety 118 (65.5%), stress found in 105 (58.3%) participants. Conclusion: We concluded in this study that the prevalence of psychological impacts on Gynae residents were significantly higher in terms of mild, moderate and severe intensity. Early detection and prevention of factors i.e. depression, anxiety and stress are necessary in hospitals. Keywords: Post graduate, Gynae residents, COVID-19, Psychological impacts

Health istitha'ah is the health ability of the pilgrims physically and mentally with a measurable health assesment. It is essential for every citizen who will perform the hajj pilgrimage. The Indonesian Ministry of Health through the Non-Infectious Disease Integrated Service Post (Posbindu PTM) implements an early detection and prevention program for non-infectious diseases in sub-districts, schools or colleges, institutions or workplaces, and Hajj guidance groups (KBIH) especially for pilgrims. The department of public health and community medicine (IKM-IKK) of the Faculty of Medicine, Sriwijaya University perform an education on the detection of risk factors for non-infectious diseases and physical fitness assesment of prospective pilgrims in the context of community service activities at KBIH Bisri Palembang. Examinations were done on 40 prospective pilgrims using the Rockport test method. The results of the examination showed that the 24 pilgrims had moderate fitness level (60%). The blood pressure test results showed that 9 pilgrims had hypertension (22%) and the nutritional status test showed that 20 pilgrims were overweight and obese (38.5%). In addition, there is an assesment for prospective hajj pilgrims in order to understanding risk factors for non-infectious diseases. The result shows that there is a significant increase in understanding about non-infectious diseases in the adaptation of new habits.
