scholarly journals Development of Efficient Wireless Sensor Network for IoT based Applications

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a rapidly growing area for IoT based research and applications. The main concern of research in WSN is to organize the node with different abilities including sensing range, communication range in the wireless network and route the detected data from the nodes to a central sink with dynamism. Clustering or Sector Formation is a key network employed to lengthen the lifespan of WSN by reducing energy utilization. LEACH is a sector algorithm in which the sector heads are arbitrarily chosen from the nodes and utilized to identify the solution with a better location to yield the energy loss sector heads. However, the non-optimal selection of sector head in LEACH cause the lesser lifespan of WSN. To overcome these issues, the Modified Quadrature-LEACH (MQ-LEACH) scheme is proposed in this paper which efficiently formed the sectors by selecting the optimal sector heads in the network. The simulation will be conducted in the NS2 environment where the essential parameters are evaluated for both proposed and existing methods. Further, the proposed scheme improves the network lifespan and stability period compared to existing schemes.

Wireless sensor network plays prominently in various applications of the emerging advanced wireless technology such as smart homes, Commercial, defence sector and modern agriculture for effective communication. There are many issues and challenges involved during the communication process. Energy conservation is the major challenging matter and fascinates issue among the researchers. The reason for that, Wireless sensor network has ‘n’ number of sensor nodes to identify and recognize the data and send that data to the base station or sink through either directly or intermediate node. These nodes with poor energy create intricacy on the data rate or flow and substantially affect the lifespan of a wireless sensor network. To decrease energy utilization the sensor node has to neglect unnecessary received data from the neighbouring nodes prior to send the optimum data to the sink or another device. When a specific target is held in a particular sector, it can be identified by many sensors. To rectify such process this paper present Data agglomeration technique is one of the persuasive techniques in the neglecting unnecessary data and of improves energy efficiency and also it increases the lifetime of WSNs. The efficacious data aggregation paradigm can also decrease traffic in the network. This paper discussed various data agglomeration technique for efficient energy in WSN.

In the routing protocol for wireless sensor network, the cluster size is generally fixed in clustering routing algorithm for wireless sensor network, which can easily lead to the “hot spot” problem. Furthermore, the majority of routing algorithms barely consider the problem of long distance communication between adjacent cluster heads that brings high energy consumption. Therefore, this paper proposes a new cross unequal clustering routing algorithm based on the EEUC algorithm. In order to solve the defects of EEUC algorithm, this algorithm calculating of competition radius takes the node’s position and node’s remaining energy into account to make the load of cluster heads more balanced. At the same time, cluster adjacent node is applied to transport data and reduce the energy-loss of cluster heads. Simulation experiments show that, compared with LEACH and EEUC, the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the energy-loss of cluster heads and balance the energy consumption among all nodes in the network and improve the network lifetime

Security is the rising concern of the wireless network as there are various forms of reonfigurable network that is arised from it. Wireless sensor network (WSN) is one such example that is found to be an integral part of cyber-physical system in upcoming times. After reviewing the existing system, it can be seen that there are less dominant and robust solutions towards mitigating the threats of upcoming applications of WSN. Therefore, this paper introduces a simple and cost-effective modelling of a security system that offers security by ensuring secure selection of clusterhead during the data aggregation process in WSN. The proposed system also makes construct a rule-set in order to learn the nature of the communication iin order to have a discrete knowledge about the intensity of adversaries. With an aid of simulation-based approach over MEMSIC nodes, the proposed system was proven to offer reduced energy consumption with good data delivery performance in contrast to existing approach.
