The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Business Strategy, Profit Management and Good Corporate Governance Mechanisms on Financial Performance This study used manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector which were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2013-2016. This research is a quantitative study that analyzes the Effect of Business Strategy, Profit Management and Good Corporate Governance Mechanisms on Financial Performance. This research uses multiple regression analysis methods. A good business strategy by suppressing earnings management activities through the mechanism of Good Corporate Governance is expected to improve company performance. The results of this study indicate that (1) the Business Strategy which is proxied by Low Cost and the mechanism of Good Corporate Governance which is proxied by the Independent Board of Commissioners has a significant positive effect on company performance, (2) the mechanism of Good Corporate Governance which is proxied by the Independent Board of Commissioners has a significant negative effect on company performance, (3) Profit Management and Good Corporate Governance mechanisms that are proxied by the Audit Committee have no effect on company performance. The purpose of this research is to test the influence of good corporate governance mechanisms, leverage, and firm size to the earnins management. This research applies good corporate governance mechanisms (with the proxy of managerial ownership, independent commissioner on the board, and audit committee), leverage, and firm size as independent variables, and earning management as dependent variable. The subject of the research is the manufacturing companies (limited to the consumer goods industry sector) which are listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2014 to 2016. The samples selection is performed by using purposive sampling method. From this method, it was collected 84 observations from 28 companies during 3 years. By using multiple regression analysis as the research method, the results shown that leverage and firm size have influenced to earning management, while good corporate governance mechanisms don’t have influence to earnings management.

Objective – The purpose of this study is to examine the direct effect of good corporate governance mechanisms on financial statement fraud with earnings management as a mediating variable.Design/methodology – This study used secondary data from manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2013-2017 period. The sample was determined using the purposive sampling method and was chosen based on certain considerations or criteria. The data in this study was analyzed using partial least square and performed with WarpPLS 5.0 software.Results – The results of this study prove that the mechanism of good corporate governance has a negative effect on financial statement fraud and earnings management. Earnings management can affect the effectiveness of good corporate governance mechanisms on financial statement fraud.Research limitations/implications - This research promotes the need for a company to inspect and maintain the importance of good corporate governance to avoid earnings management and fraud practices. From this research, investors can identify which companies apply good corporate governance in their company activities and systems.

The purpose of this research is to provide empirical evidence of the affect of ownership concetration, firms size, and corporate governance mechanisms on earnings management. Ownership concetration was measure by the biggest stock of individual or organization, firms size was measure by natural logaritma of net assets, and corporate governance mechanisms were measure by three variabels (composition of board of commisioner, audit quality were measure by industry specialize audit firm, and composition of audit committee). Earnings management was measure by discretionary accruals use Modified Jones Method. The population of this research is 41 companies in the banking sector which were listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). The research data were collected from banking companies financial statement for the period of 2016 to 2018. Based on purposive sampling method. The reseacrh hypotesis were tested using multiple regression analysis. The results of this research show that firm size, firm of commissioner and proportion of commissioner have significant relationships with earnings management. Next, variables composition of board of commissioner, ownership concetration and specialize audit firm have no significant relationship with earnings management. This study aims to examine the effect of government ownership, business strategy, and good corporate governance on company performance. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study is state-owned companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Determination of the sample is done by method purposive sampling and obtained 10 companies. Earnings management is a manager's deliberate action to manipulate financial statements with permissible limits with the aim of providing incorrect information for users of financial statements. The variables tested in this study consisted of independent variables and dependent variables. The independent variables tested in this study consisted of independent board of commissioners, managerial ownership, audit committee, and board of commissioners. While the dependent variable is earnings management as measured by the modified Jones model discretionary accruals. This study uses 52 data on manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2019. Sampling using the purpose sampling method. All data obtained from the company's annual financial statements. The results of this research show that partially independent board of commissioners and managerial ownership have no effect on earnings management, while the size of the board of commissioners and audit committee has a positive effect on earnings management. This study aims to examine the effect of business strategy and financial leverage as moderated by corporate governance in predicting real earnings management. This type of research is a causal association with a quantitative approach. The population used in this study are all manufacturing companies listed in Bursa Efek Indonesia 2016-2019. The sampling technique in this study using the purposive sampling technique, there are 80 manufacturing companies used as research samples. The business strategy variables are measured by the cost leadership strategy model for the current year. Earnings management variables are calculated by aggregating the triggering factors for earnings management, namely sales manipulation, overproduction, and discretionary spending. The leverage variable is calculated by the ratio of debt to assets and the moderating variable is measured by the proportion of share ownership by the managerial party. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the company's financial statements obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange and the official website of each company. The analytical method used is the multiple regression method which is processed using the SPSS 16 application. The results show that business strategy, financial leverage has a significant positive effect on real earnings management, CG can increase or weaken the relationship between business strategy, leverage on real earnings management but not significantly

The Influence of Carbon Credit, Firm Size, and Good Corporate Governance on Performance of Public Listed Manufacturing Companies. This study aims to examine the effect of carbon credit, firm size, board of commissioners and audit committee on company performance. The population used in this study is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The method of sample selection is purposive sampling. Only 25 companies meet the criteria. The hypotheses in this study were tested using t test and f test. The data analysis technique used in this study was multiple linear regression test. The results of the study indicate that carbon credit, firm size, board of commissioners and audit committee partially and simultaneously influence performance of public listed manufacturing companies.Keyword: Carbon credit, firm size, board of commisioners, audit committee

<p class="Style1">This study will examine how the instruments of good corporate governance can moderate the impact of thefanancial performance of the company. Financial performance proxied by ROA, ROE and Leverage, while the value of the company with the Tobins Q. Good corporate governance is measured by the percentage ofinstitutional ownership. Hypothesis testing is done by multiple regression method with the classical assumption test first. The total population sample of 129 companies from manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange.<em> The results of this study is good corporate governance as a system that can regulate the division of duties, rights and obligations of parties interested in the life of the company, including shareholders, board members, and managers can improve company performance impact on company value.</em></p>

This study aims to determine the effect of good corporate governance and leverage on earnings management. The population used is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2015 and the sample determination method used is purposive judgment sampling. Samples obtained were 44 companies. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression test, and hypothesis testing. This study found that simultaneous good corporate governance and corporate leverage influence earnings management. Partially, this research found that good corporate governance is proxied by institutional ownership (KI), managerial ownership (KM), audit committee (KA), company size (UK), and leverage affect earnings management, while the independent board of commissioners (DKI) and the board of directors (DD) have no effect on earnings management.

Objective - This study aims to determine the effect of earning management and corporate governance mechanisms on corporate tax avoidance. Methodology/Technique - Corporate governance mechanisms use institutional ownership, the size of the board of commissioners, the percentage of independent commissioners, auditing committees, and audit quality as proxies. Meanwhile, earnings management uses the modified Jones model. The sample of this study include non-financial companies that are listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2014 and 2016. Findings - Corporate tax avoidance can be detected by using the effective tax rate (ETR), which is the ratio of income to tax expenses. This sample was chosen using a purposive sampling method, resulting in 871 firms. The results suggest that earnings management has a significant impact on ETR. Novelty - This study identifies that only independent commissioners and audit quality have a significant influence on ETR.
