A clinical case of successful surgical treatment of a patient with chronic pancreatitis, complicated by suppuration of a postnecrotic cyst and the formation of a cysto-gastric fistula. As a result of the conservative and minimally invasive treatment, the pseudocyst was drained, and the cystogastric fistula was closed. The staged treatment was completed by resection of the head of the pancreas with the formation of an anastomosis.

The authors present a clinical case of an extremely rare combination of the congenital defect of the front abdominal wall as omphalocele, congenital evolution defect of the small intestine - atresia of the small intestine type III, agenesis of the ileum with ileocecal angle and malrotation syndrome. Surgical treatment was as follows: T-shaped ileocolic «end-to-side» anastomosis with an unloading colostomy by the Bishop-Koop technique and intestinal intubaton till the Treitz ligament. Outcomes of such surgical correction are good.

The objective is to present a clinical case of combined treatment of cancer of the tongue and its progression to the contralateral lymph nodes of the neck using data on individual lymphatic outflow from the primary tumor of the tongue.Clinical case. Clinical, laboratory, radiological and pathomorphological data of a 50-year-old patient with a diagnosis of squamous human papillomavirus-negative cancer of the free part of the tongue and clinically negative lymph nodes of the neck with cT2N0M0. The patient underwent radical surgical treatment in the amount of hemiglossectomy and ipsilateral selective cervical lymphadenectomy after two courses of polychemotherapy according to the cisplatin + 5-fluorocracil regimen with partial regression and adjuvant treatment in the amount of conformal remote radiation therapy combined with chemotherapy. 9 months after the end of treatment, progression to the lymph nodes of the neck of the contralateral side was revealed, which accumulated a radiopharmaceutical before treatment.Conclusion. The described clinical case shows the importance of studying the lymphatic outflow from the primary tumor of the tongue to the regional lymph nodes in order to plan surgical treatment on the regional lymphatic collector in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the free part of the tongue.

Introduction. Calyx diverticulum is a rather rare pathology in pediatric practice. In the structure of cystic kidney malformations, it amounts up to 12-15%. In most cases, the disease is asymptomatic. To make a differential diagnostics and to define a technique for surgical treatment, computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging are used. Currently, puncture-sclerotic method and endosurgical (laparoscopic, retroperitoneoscopic) one can be successfully applied. The main purpose of this clinical observation is to illustrate that little-traumatic laparoscopic access to the kidney and plasma ablation of the diverticulum epithelial lining can be used to have successful outcomes.Material and methods. The authors describe a clinical case of renal cavities in a 12-year-old boy - calyx diverticulum of the right kidney and a cyst of the left kidney - which were successfully treated with a combined approach when puncture and laparoscopic corrections were used depending on lesion’s chracteriatics.Conclusion. A rational approach and substantiation of the applied surgical technique with plasma ablation of calyx diverticulum cavity allowed to obtain good results - cavity size was reduced and renal parenchyma was preserved what is important for future organ functioning.

Cardiac myxoma is a primary tumor histologically formed by multipotent subendocardial mesenchymal cells. Myxomas account for approximately 50% of all cardiac tumors in adults. Myxomas are most commonly located in the left atrium. Very rarely, myxomas can be located in several heart chambers. Only about 100 cases of patients with myxomatous lesions of both atria have been described in the literature. In this paper, we present a successful clinical case of a young patient with biatrial myxomas.

One of the most serious problems of modern medicine is sepsis. The number of patients undergoing this complication is 20–30 million (WHO) annually and has no tendency to decrease. Sepsis is characterized by severe multiple organ failure due to a violation of the response of the macroorganism to an infectious agent. Moreover, it is dangerous with high mortality. Sepsis often develops in patients with immunodeficiency conditions, which primarily include pregnant women. The article presents a clinical observation of a case of periostitis in a pregnant woman complicated by a septic state.
