Introduction: The oxidative stress and the deterioration of the antioxidant system demonstrated by the dosage of antioxidant enzymes and the by-products of lipid peroxidation are involved in the occurrence of uterine myomas. Objectives: To measure the antioxidant activity of the plasma of patients with uterine myoma and that of the plasma of their age-matched controls by trapping the free radical ABTS+. The study aims to confirm by another assessment technique. Results: The anti-free radical activities of the plasmas of patients with myomas and those of their respective controls vary from 1.3 to 6%. In addition, two cases were observed: either the anti-radical activity of the control subjects turned out to be slightly higher than that of the patients; or the anti-free radical activity of patients with uterine myomas was slightly stronger than those of their controls. In addition, our results showed that the anti-free radical activity of patients aged over 40 years is slightly higher than that of patients aged less than or equal to 40 years. Finally, the anti-free radical activity decreases with an increase in BMI and increases with the number of gestities and parity. Conclusion: Assessment of the total antioxidant capacity of blood by trapping the ABTS+ radical can be used to assess, at a certain threshold, the oxidative stress involved in the development of uterine myoma. This method can also be used to assess the effect of age, BMI, pregnancy and parity on the occurrence of myomas.

Abstract Objectives Uterine myomas are a frequent finding in reproductive age women with an estimated incidence 12–25%. 1. Treatment of uterine myomas to facilitate good pregnancy rates and outcome, such as hysteroscopic, laparoscopic, abdominal resection uterine artery embolization among others were evaluated in terms of pregnancy outcome. While the literature is replete of the pregnancy complication of uterine rupture after myomectomies, 2–4 there are very few publications evaluate a relatively rare pregnancy complication associated with placental implantation within the uterine cavity at the site of the previous myomectomy, namely the myomectomy scar pregnancy (MSP). Despite their relative rarity, this type of pathologically adherent placenta rightfully belongs to the well-known entity of placenta accreta spectrum (PAS). Case presentation We present a complicated case of MSP and review the available literature to raise attention to its clinical appearance, its prenatal diagnosis so appropriate intrapartum management can be planned. Conclusions Despite the rarity of MSP, continuous attention should be given at every single routinely scheduled or indication driven obstetrical US scan following myomectomies to evaluate the placental site implantation regardless of the route and technique of their initial surgical procedure.

Background: The aim of the study was to evaluate the prevalence of adenomyosis in endometrial cancer patients and to determine the frequency of adenomyosis and endometrial cancer at hysterectomy specimens.Methods: This study was carried out retrospectively on pathologic specimens of hysterectomies. A total of 98 women in the period May 2020 to January 2021enrolled to the study. All pathologies seen in hysterectomy specimens were noted. The frequency of adenomyosis and the accompanying pathologies were determined. These women were categorized into two groups according to the cause of hysterectomy. The incidence of adenomyosis was analyzed together with the endometrial cancer.Results: The incidence of adenomyosis was 22% at hysterectomy specimens. There was no statistically significant difference between the mean age of the two groups (p=0.002*). There were 22 cases with adenomyosis and the only pathologic finding was adenomyosis, in 22.7% of cases. The most common accompanying pathologies with adenomyosis were uterine myomas in 95% and on significant association was found in cases of endometrial carcinoma.Conclusions: There is no evidence that adenomyosis increases the risk of endometrial cancer as there is no statistically significant difference found between the group with and the group without adenomyosis in terms of coexistence with endometrial carcinoma.

An expert system which is part of artificial intelligence is a computer system that is able to imitate the reasoning of an expert with certain expertise. An expert system in the form of software can replace the role of an expert (human) in the decision-making process based on the symptoms given to a certain level of certainty. This study raises the problem that many women experience, namely not understanding that they have uterine myomas. Many women do not understand and are not aware that there are already symptoms that are felt and these symptoms are symptoms of the presence of uterine myomas in their bodies. Therefore, it is necessary for women to be able to diagnose independently so that they can take treatment as quickly as possible. In this study, the expert will first provide the expert CF values. Then the user / respondent gives an assessment of his condition with the CF User values. In the end, the values obtained from these two factors will be processed using the certainty factor formula. Users must provide answers to all questions given by the system in accordance with their current conditions. After all the conditions asked are answered, the system will display the results to identify that the user is suffering from uterine myoma disease or not. The Expert System with the certainty factor method was tested with a patient who entered the symptoms experienced and got the percentage of confidence in uterine myomas/fibroids of 98.70%. These results indicate that an expert system with the certainty factor method can be used to assist in diagnosing uterine myomas as early as possible.

As you know, in the controversial issue of the histogenesis of uterine fibroids, the so-called. vascular theory occupies a fairly prominent place. I am among my defenders of such prominent representatives of natka as Borst, Orth, Lubagsch, Gottschalk, etc. Despite the high probability of such a histogenesis of uterine myomas, it should be noted that the growth of tumors into the lumen of the vessels is extremely rare, and only a few cases of this kind are described in the literature. Various authors, describing tumors spreading in their growth along the preexisting cavities, give them different names myoma plexiforme, Venenmyom, and R. Meyer suggests calling them myoma intravasculare.

The author thinks that the frequency with which malignant myomas occur is greatly exaggerated. The author in 609 cases of these tumors could establish malignancy only 6 times, and if we take into account only the cases subjected to systematic microscopic study, then in 2%.
