All genera of the tribe Typoderini presented in the Caucasus Region, i.e. Adexius Schönherr, 1834 (which is here transferred to Typoderini from Molytini based on morphological characters), Anchonidium Bedel, 1884, Aparopion Hampe, 1861, Caulomorphus Faust, 1886, and Pseudaparopion Borovec, Osella & Zuppa, 2002, are diagnosed and partly illustrated. One new species, Caulomorphus kociani sp. nov., is described; Caulomorphus besucheti Osella, 1970, Caulomorphus talyschensis Reitter, 1897, and Anchonidium perpensum Faust, 1886 are redescribed. Lectotype is designated for Anchonidium perpensum. Keys to Caucasian genera of Typoderini and to all species of Caucasian Anchonidium and Caulomorphus are provided. A complete list of species with their distribution is given.

Plutomurus jordanai sp. nov. from Zeda Kvilishori Cave (Tskaltubo Municipality, Imereti region, Western Georgia) is described, illustrated and differentiated from other morphologically similar species‒‒P. kelasuricus Martynova, 1969 and P. eristoi Barjadze, Baquero, Soto-Adames, Giordano & Jordana, 2016. In addition, morphological characters omitted or erroneously provided in the original description of Plutomurus birsteini Djanashvili & Barjadze, 2011 are described and illustrated from the specimen sampled in the type locality‒‒Sakishore Cave (Racha region, Western Georgia). An identification key to the species of the genus Plutomurus reported from the Caucasus is presented. A list of the invertebrate communities for Zeda Kvilishori and Sakishore caves is provided.

Cytological and morphological characteristics of a new species, Pseudoroegneria deweyi K. B. Jensen, from the Karachayevo-Cherkesskaya Avtonomnaya Oblast' Region of Russia are described. This species is cytologically stable, genomically similar to Pseudoroegneria tauri, highly fertile (cross-pollinating), and morphologically unique compared with most other species in the genus. Pseudoroegneria deweyi differs from other closely related species in the number of rachis nodes in the inflorescence. Pseudoroegneria stipifolia (2n = 2x = 14, SS) and Agropyron cristatum (2n = 2x = 14, PP) were used as male parents in crosses with P. deweyi. All three P. deweyi accessions studied were tetraploids (2n = 28) and behaved meiotically as allotetraploids with a mean chromosome association of 0.03 I + 13.30 II + 0.03 III + 0.26 IV per cell. In the hybrid P. deweyi × A. cristatum, average chromosome association was 5.92 I + 4.55 II + 1.83 III + 0.09 IV per cell, while the average chromosome association in P. deweyi × P. stipifolia was 4.98 I + 5.23 II + 1.73 III 0.04 IV per cell. Pseudoroegneria deweyi joins P. tauri as the only other known naturally occurring species with the genomic formula of SSPP. Cluster analysis of 21 morphological characters supports the inclusion of P. deweyi as part of the genus Pseudoroegneria rather than Agropyron. The genus Eulepida Kolbe, 1894 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Melolonthinae: Leucopholini) was established to accommodate 10 Afrotropical species, seven new and three previously placed in Lepidiota Kirby, 1828, Proagosternus Blanchard, 1851, and Tricholepis Hampson, 1891. Lacroix (2010) designated Leucopholis lepidota Klug, 1855 as the type species of the genus Eulepida. Currently the genus contains 20 species divided into three groups based on morphological characters (Lacroix 2010, 2013): species group I includes Eulepida lepidota (Klug, 1855), E. minor Moser, 1913, E. nitidicollis Kolbe, 1894, E. nyassica Kolbe, 1894, E. sinuatifrons (Fairmaire, 1887), and E. zambiensis Lacroix, 2010; species group II includes E. anatina Brenske, 1896, E. tschindeana Péringuey, 1904, and E. werneri Lacroix, 2010; and species group III includes E. baumanni Kolbe, 1894, E. flavovestita Moser, 1913, E. gracilipes Kolbe, 1894, E. kameruna (Frey, 1972), E. kenyensis Lacroix, 2010, E. mamboiae Brenske, 1896, E. manowensis Moser, 1913, E. mashona Arrow, 1902, E. montana Kolbe, 1894, E. reichei (Thomson, 1858), and E. savagei (Hope, 1842). Examination of material recently collected in Zambia revealed an undescribed species belonging to species group II (sensu Lacroix 2010). This group is defined by the combination of the following characters: protibia bidentate; antennal club distinctly longer than antennal shaft; pygidium narrow, longer than wide, with a pronounced elongate terminal invagination; and parameres symmetrical, long, evenly curved in ventral aspect (Lacroix 2010). The purpose of this paper is to describe one new species, to add new geographic records for some Eulepida species of group II, and to update the key for this group. New faunistic records are reported for Eulepida tschindeana and Eulepida werneri from Zimbabwe.

During May, 1959, a number of uncommon species of Scarabaeidae were collected in or near the Big Bend National Park, Brewster Co., Texas. The object of this paper is to give distribution and habitat data on some of the rarer species and to describe one new species of Phyllophaga. Because much of the material is still unmounted, a complete list of species taken is not practical, nor can the exact number of specimens taken be given in some cases.

A new species of atyid freshwater shrimp is described from two caves of Bac Kan Province, Northeast Vietnam, namely Caridina namdat sp. nov. This species can be distinguished from its congeners by a suite of morphological characters such as reduced eyes with short eyestalk, very short and unarmed rostrum, slender second pereiopod, elongated endopod of male first pleopod, and long appendix interna of the male second pleopod. Molecular phylogenetic data from the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) and 16S ribosomal RNA genes also support the distinctiveness of the new species from all other examined species.

Epimedium wushanense (Berberidaceae) as treated in the Flora of China includes four species similar in leaflet shape: E. wushanense, E. ilicifolium, E. jinchengshanense (sp. nov.), and E. pseudowushanense. Its seven type specimens represent three of the four species. In the present paper, E. wushanense is identified according to morphological characters of its holotype. Except for four of the seven type specimens belonging to E. wushanense and E. ilicifolium, the remaining three specimens represent a new species, E. jinchengshanense. Furthermore, E. wushanense from Guangxi and Guizhou as treated in the Flora of China is recognized as E. pseudowushanense. Epimedium wushanense, E. ilicifolium, E. jinchengshanense, and E. pseudowushanense differ by their distributions and flowers. Based on the floral characters, E. jinchengshanense is grouped into ser. Dolichocerae, E. wushanense is adjusted from ser. Dolichocerae to ser. Davidianae, and E. ilicifolium is moved from ser. Davidianae to ser. Dolichocerae.

The genus Stenometapodus Breddin, 1903 (Coreidae: Coreinae: Acanthocephalini) is redescribed and one new species, Stenometapodus aurantiacus sp. nov., is described from Brazil. The new species is distinguished by a combination of color patterns and morphological characters, such as the shape of pronotum. A key to the known species of Stenometapodus is included. A new genus, Zygometapodus gen. nov., is proposed for Stenometapodus castaneus Blöte, 1938. New distribution records for Zygometapodus castaneus (Blöte, 1938) comb. nov. from Bolivia and Peru are provided. Dorsal photos of each species of Stenometapodus and Zygometapodus are also provided.

Abstract—Justicia rubrobracteata, a new species from northeastern Brazil, is described and illustrated. The new species is morphologically similar to J. aequilabris due to its shrubby habit, and terminal and axillary spicate inflorescences with red flowers. However, J. rubrobracteata is differentiated mainly by the shape and color of its bracts and bracteoles as well as an orangish macula in the corolla, and a torulose capsule. In addition, J. rubrobracteata is only known from northeastern Brazil, from the states of Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte, while J. aequilabris is widely distributed in Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay. A table with the main morphological characters of both species is included, as well as photographs, a key to species of Justicia for the states of Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte in northeastern Brazil, a distribution map of both species, and conservation data for the new species.

A new species of Pogonophora obtained from one station at a depth of 25 m from near the Dikson Island in the Kara Sea is described. Galathealinum karaense sp. nov. is one of the largest pogonophorans, the first known representative of the rare genus Galathealinum Kirkegaard, 1956 in the Eurasian part of the Arctic Ocean and a highly unusual finding for the desalted shallow of the Yenisey Gulf. Several characters occurring in the new species are rare or unique among the congeners: under-developed, hardly discernible frills on the tube segments, extremely thin felted fibres in the external layer of the tube, and very faintly separated papillae in the anterior part of the trunk. Morphological characters useful in distinguishing species within the genus Galathealinum are defined and summarised in a table. Diagnosis of the genus Galathealinum is emended and supplemented by new characters. Additionally, three taxonomic keys are provided to the species of Galathealinum and to the known species of the Arctic pogonophorans using either animals or their empty tubes only, with the brief zoogeographical information on each Arctic species.
