"``Prime hunting" can be considered as a research area of computational number theory. Its goal is to find special combinations of integers and prove their primality. Four research groups, established by A. Járai between 1992 and 2014, published numerous world class scientific results. In this period, due to Járai's arithmetic routines fastest in the world, they reached the world record 19 times, namely found the largest known twin primes 9 times, Sophie Germain primes 7 times, a prime of the form n^4+1, a number which is simultaneously twin and Sophie Germain prime and the three largest known primes forming a Cunningham chain of length 3 of the first kind. When A. Járai retired, the investigations of this area were suspended. In the beginning of 2020 the research was reopened by G. Farkas at the newly-founded campus (Szombathely) of ELTE. The first signal success came in the end of May 2020. They proved the primality of the numbers which form the largest known Cunningham chains of length 2 of the 2nd kind. In this paper we report on a newly started prime hunting project with the aim of increasing our students' research activity.

Frascati's National Laboratories (LNF INFN) are well known in the world for pioneering research in the particle interaction and synchrotron radiation physics fields. Good experience in designing accelerators, storage rings and beamlines for synchrotron radiation allows presently LNF to be in the frontier for the construction of new X-ray generation sources. This report is an introduction to new research activity "Coherent Scattering Phenomena for Radiations in Solids" started in Frascati within the approved projects SPARC, SPARX and PLASMON-X. The main purpose of the project is to develop research area for studying the channeling phenomena of charged and neutral particles in periodic solid structures.

The report emphasizes the importance of developing thermonuclear research in the world, the need for further integration of Ukrainian research institutions into the European research area and increasing the participation of Ukrainian scientists in world-class research in plasma physics and controlled thermonuclear fusion. The urgency and complexity of the problem of controlled thermonuclear fusion, which covers not only various aspects of high-temperature plasma physics as the basis of energy of the future, but also problems of thermonuclear reactors, materials science, engineering aspects of thermonuclear energy, etc. are discussed.

Twin prime numbers are two prime numbers which have the difference equals to exactly 2. In other words, twin primes is a pair of two prime numbers which have the value of the difference exactly two. Sometimes the word “twin prime” is used for a pair of twin primes; an another name for this is considered as “prime twin” or called as “prime pajir”. Up to date there is no any exact proof/disproof for twin prime conjecture since roughly 200 years in the world. Through this research paper, my attempt is to provide a valid proof for twin prime conjecture. This new paper is the detailed explanation of my previous paper that I completed on mid of the year 2020 titled as ‘Proof of Twin Prime Conjecture that can be obtained by using Contradiction method in Mathematics’ (WHICH IS WELL-RECONGNIZED ALL OVER THE WORLD through researchgate as well). And this proof of the existence of infinitely many twin primes can be applied to many subject areas in Physics, Chemistry and etc. And the proof of twin prime conjecture can be used to solve several unsolved problems in Physics, Chemistry and etc as well. Also as an additional result, at the end of this research paper, it discusses about an application of the Proof of Twin Prime Conjecture to the Quantum and Thermal Physics. There, this research paper consider three space volumes symbolized as area A , B and C. Inside areas A and B there are microscopic particles separately. By applying the proof of the twin prime conjecture, finally this will try to conclude that although the areas A and B have separated by area C, there are some particles those have moved from the area B to area A (due to the high thermal pressure of area B).

The increasing performance in women's height jumping among women is of interest to the study of time characteristics of technique. The aim was to supplement the data on the time characteristics of the technique of jumping into the height of highly skilled jumpers during participation in responsible competitions. Based on a report by the IAAF scientific group, made after the 2017 World Championship in London, the time characteristics of high jump technique for the finalists were determined. The relationship between the result of a high jump and the time characteristics of the technique of the jumping a world-class athlete has been investigated. Comparison of time characteristics of the technique of jumping of the finalists of the 2017 World Championship with the time characteristics of the technique of jumping off the world record holder among the juniors Yaroslava Mahuchikh. It is recommended to use as a model the characteristics of highly skilled high jumpers: average rate of the last three running steps (4.1 ± 0.3 step·s-1) and repulsion duration (0.16 ± 0.01 s).

The preconceived ideas we have about the world and about many aspects of our lives are deeply influenced by the results of the research activity we call science. A large part of the decisions we make as a society and as individuals depends on information that needs to be rigorous; that is, scientific. This is the reason why having information about scientific results and ideas is essential for citizens today. Science is an ongoing process of reflection, rather than immutable and monolithic doctrine, so we need tools to develop these complex ideas and make them available for everyone.

Abstract On 8 February 2018, a supercell storm produced gargantuan (>15 cm or >6 in. in maximum dimension) hail as it moved over the heavily populated city of Villa Carlos Paz in Córdoba Province, Argentina. Observations of gargantuan hail are quite rare, but the large population density here yielded numerous witnesses and social media pictures and videos from this event that document multiple large hailstones. The storm was also sampled by the newly installed operational polarimetric C-band radar in Córdoba. During the RELAMPAGO campaign, the authors interviewed local residents about their accounts of the storm and uncovered additional social media video and photographs revealing extremely large hail at multiple locations in town. This article documents the case, including the meteorological conditions supporting the storm (with the aid of a high-resolution WRF simulation), the storm’s observed radar signatures, and three noteworthy hailstones observed by residents. These hailstones include a freezer-preserved 4.48-in. (11.38 cm) maximum dimension stone that was scanned with a 3D infrared laser scanner, a 7.1-in. (18 cm) maximum dimension stone, and a hailstone photogrammetrically estimated to be between 7.4 and 9.3 in. (18.8–23.7 cm) in maximum dimension, which is close to or exceeds the world record for maximum dimension. Such a well-observed case is an important step forward in understanding environments and storms that produce gargantuan hail, and ultimately how to anticipate and detect such extreme events.

Dating back to medieval times, fruit cultivation in Hardanger in western Norway is rooted in what is portrayed as a perfect microclimate naturally yielding the best apples in the world. However, the viability of the comparatively minute Norwegian fruit trade is continuously threatened by competition from outside, spurring all kinds of initiatives and policies to make it sustainable. The Norwegian fruit landscape, in other words, is both the natural and perfect home of world-class fruit and a site for continuous, often state-driven interventions to make it so; indeed, the perfection of the place accentuates the need to do what it takes to make it thrive. The necessary means to accomplish such viability, however, make up a complex terrain, as the resourcefulness of the Norwegian fruit landscape is ‘measured’ according to very different units.
