Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have become the main priority across the globe due to their significant role in economic growth and propensity. However, in particular, it is not yet known how governments can achieve SDGs through non-profit organisations (NPOs) by providing financial and non-financial incentives. The present study included 263 Pakistan NPOs in a primary survey using a questionnaire. The results obtained from the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) highlight that: (i) government incentives do not directly influence community development; (ii) The government non-financial incentives have a significant direct effect on environmental activities to reduce pollution, energy consumption and waste; (iii) Resource management fully mediates the paths between government incentives and community development while partially mediates environmental activities; and finally, (iv) resource management has a favourable influence both on the goals of community development and environmental activities. This research paper contributes to the knowledge in that government incentives do not have a direct influence on social development, but has an indirect influence through efficient management. Recommendations are that government and public bodies need to support NPOs to engage actively in philanthropic activities. Similarly, NPOs should efficiently utilize and manage the resources to benefit the maximum number of poor and needy individuals.

Tourism is an activity that contributes directly and indirectly to the development of rural areas. But this development needs to be sustainable. To do this, appropriate policies that positively influence these areas from an economic, social and cultural point of view must be implemented. All this in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals. This study will analyze the contribution of rural tourism to develop and implement policies to promote sustainable tourism that creates jobs and promotes local culture and products. The variables that most influence the tourist behavior, motivation, the destination image, and the satisfaction obtained by the tourist will be analyzed. After an exhaustive review of the literature, an empirical investigation was carried out with 1,658 valid surveys among rural tourists in Soria, a Spanish province with one of the highest levels of depopulation. A structural equation model was drawn up to discover the relationships between the variables. The results demonstrated the importance of the motivation in the formation of the destination image, as well as satisfaction with the trip. In the same way, we will verify which component of the image of the destination (affective or cognitive) has the most influence on their formation, and how the image of the destination, like motivation, influences tourist satisfaction. The proposed model could be used in many studies that analyze the different variables that influence consumer behavior since its reliability and predictive capacity have been proven. The results of the study can also be used by the authorities to design or modify the most appropriate strategies that influence rural tourism, specially promoting the destination image as a variable that positively influences tourist satisfaction.

Non-profits are an essential part of the community, reaching many sustainable development goals (SDG) without naming and promoting them. They can be empowered to do more. Non-profits should make the SDGs a prominent point to demonstrate why clients and consumers should buy or use their services to reduce waste and recycle. According to the research gap within the Czech environment, the chapter's main point is to present the current situation by qualitative evaluation based on three case studies of a non-profit organization. SDGs are divided according to benefits to the community, such as social, economic, and environmental. Case studies show how difficult it is to identify involvement in individual goals and conflict with its strategy. The uniqueness of the chapter lies in the presentation of its self-evaluation tool, suitable especially for non-profit organizations.

This study aims to develop a discussion framework regarding the applicability of online games in higher education institutions for enhancing the understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. A typology of online games is discussed, and games are categorised into three types: knowledge education, survival simulation experience and urban design simulation. A quantitative method was applied in this study, with data being collected from game participants who played games of the three types. Ten game attributes were used as potential independent variables to estimate the dependent variable of the participants’ understanding of the SDGs, using structural equation modelling. The developed and verified models indicate that each type of game had a unique impact on the participants’ perceptions of the SDGs based on various factors. This information could be useful as a guide for pedagogists aiming to enhance students’ awareness and understanding of the content and contexts of specific SDGs.

The current development of territorial public self-government in Russia is characterized by a discrepancy between the rates of quantitative and qualitative transformations in this area. For example, an increase in the total number of territorial public self-government bodies is accompanied by a decrease in the share of these organizations registered as a legal entity. The author identifies two reasons for the current situation. One of them is that the leaders of territorial public self-government do not realize their contribution to the achievement of sustainable development goals of the municipality and region. And this happens due to the fact that local governments do not carry out the necessary work with territorial public self-government in this area. The second reason is that the development of the educational infrastructure in this area as well as the managerial training level of the leaders of territorial public self-government does not allow these organizations to use the existing potential for the development of their organizations effectively. The government authorities equate bodies of territorial public self-government with “ordinary” non-profit organizations and, when conducting trainings, do not take into account their peculiarities as subjects of territorial development. The development of the educational infrastructure in the area of territorial public self-government can contribute to a qualitative change in the situation. In the course of preparation and implementation measures for the development of the educational infrastructure, government authorities need to take into account the specifics of territorial public self-government in comparison with other non-profit organizations. Leaders of territorial public self-government solve the problems of their territory development, therefore, it is extremely important for them to prepare and improve their qualifications in the field of territory development management. On the example of the implemented project “People’s University of territorial public self-government” the author suggests possible directions of management training for territorial public self-government leaders.

Islamic social fund is proliferating in this most populous Muslim country, particularly in the time of this pandemic. During early 2020, there was a substantial growth of the collection of Islamic social funds for nearly 70% compared to the last year's figure, which is mainly driven by the digitalization of social fund payment. This paper aims to elaborate on the determinants of Islamic social funds to support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program by looking at the intention of the society to donate through the e-payment platform. This study involves 212 users of digital social payments by distributing an online questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using a Structural Equation Model technique in AMOS. This study reveals that religiosity, trust, and perceived behavioral control have a positive and significant effect on the intention to donate through online platforms. Furthermore, when it comes to a specific categorized SDG program, the people sector is the highest priority, followed by Prosperity and Peace sectors.========================================================================================================ABSTRAK – Bagaimana Dana Sosial Islam mendukung Sustainable Development Goals dalam Masa Covid-19?

Abstract Seeking to meet sustainability targets, cities are promoting a number of circular economy initiatives. Whether or not these actions help cities to approach sustainable resource management is often unclear. To identify, prioritize and monitor resource-efficient strategies, cities can look for targets and indicators among the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). While the SDGs provide useful goals, they lack applicable and accurate indicators for cities. To address this shortcoming, we link the SDGs to the urban circular economy by looking at the urban metabolism and identify monitoring needs and gaps. Although consumption-based footprint indicators are the most suitable approach, these are barely covered in the SDGs. We propose a framework facilitating transdisciplinary projects and experimentation to assess resource footprints and prioritize circular strategies in cities. Our discussion will guide practitioners and academics towards a sustainable circular transformation in cities.
