English Reading skill is one of the most important skills for senior high school students who learn English as a foreign language (EFL). However, the present ELF teaching method is still teacher-centered which neglects students’ learning interest and their participation in the process of teaching. In 1990s, Western scholars proposed multi-modal theory which suggests that semiotic resources (sound, images, video, animation, motion, color, facial expressions, etc.) can be used to stimulate different senses of students so as to improve their learning efficiency. The present study is intended to apply the multi-modal approach to EFL reading teaching in senior high school and tries to find out whether the multimodal teaching can stimulate students’ interest in English reading and improve their reading proficiency. In this study, with students of a high school in Anhui in China as the research subjects, an English reading teaching experiment was carried out. The analysis of data collected from reading tests and questionnaires indicates that the application of multi-modal teaching approach in high school EFL reading teaching can stimulate students’ interest in English reading and improve students’ English reading proficiency, and that most students take a positive attitude towards multimodal teaching approach.

We advocate the in-depth integration of information technology and education in the digital age, and we also encourage teachers of all disciplines to actively carry out online and offline blended learning. This study attempts to use an empirical research to apply the Blended Learning to the oral English teaching in the first year of senior high school. A one-semester teaching experiment is conducted to explore whether there is a significant difference in the students’ oral English proficiency between the experimental class and the controlled class. The major findings of the study are as follows: (1) There are significant differences of students’ oral English proficiency before and after the experiment in the experimental class and the controlled class; (2) Blended learning can improve students’ oral English proficiency, among which pronunciation and intonation, range and accuracy of vocabulary and fluency of language are the most significant ones, while the accuracy and complexity of grammatical structure are insignificant.

Reading is not only one of the purposes of English teaching, but also an important way of English learning. Students’ knowledge of English reading enables them to read effectively. At this time, students’ reading focus will gradually shift from learning to using English to obtain information and experience the real purpose of English reading. The traditional junior high school English reading teaching can’t meet the requirements of the new curriculum reform and helps students achieve their initial learning goals. Based on the basic theoretical knowledge of English reading teaching, this article analyzes the problems encountered by teachers and students in the process of English reading teaching, and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures, hoping to promote the level of junior high school students’ English reading teaching.

Abstract Learning innovation of chemistry textbook to improve students achievement of senior high school students is explained. The study is carried out through development of innovative textbook, standardization to meet the standard textbook requirement based on BNSP and UNESCO standar, and implementation of the textbook as learning media in the class. Text book development is conducted to enrich chemistry materials based on the curriculum followed by innovation by integrating teaching method and learning media into the textboox. The developed textbook is the standarized by expert judgement. Finally the innovated textbook is then used as learning media on the teaching of chemistry to year XI senior high school students. The research showed that learning innovation into the textbook has successfully been done. Innovated textbook is found very effective to improve students achievemen in chemistry. Students achievement in experimental class which were taught by innovated textbook is found higher thatn that in control class that are taught by ordinary references. The students are interested to use innovated textbook. Innovated textbook is able to bring students to study independently and bring them moving from teacher centre learning into students centre learning

Energy literacy is a key factor in ensuring the protection of the natural environment. Numerous studies on energy literacy have demonstrated the development of instructional methods to promote the willingness to save energy as a critical research subject. Through a project-based activity, this research explored how hands-on activities improve the energy literacy of students. A quasi-experimental design was adopted, namely a pre-test and post-test nonequivalent control group design. In total, 77 senior high school students participated in a 6-week teaching experiment. A single-factor analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) and multiple regression analyses were employed to analyze the collected data. The main findings were as follows: (1) Project-based hands-on activities helped improve the energy literacy of senior high school students; however, the effect was not statistically significant in both experimental and control groups. (2) The key factor influencing the energy conservation behavior of senior high school students was energy-related attitudes following the project-based learning process. The peer teaching method is an exercise technique in learning in which students or participants present their ideas or opinions to other fellow participants. With this peer-to-peer method, it is expected that students' ability to write paragraphs will increase and be more directed based on the method given by the teacher. Therefore, this study aims to find out how to improve the ability to write paragraphs using the peer teaching method in senior high school. The research method used in this research is peer-to-peer method which is directed to describe the variable or ability to write paragraphs in senior high school students class X SMA Negeri 35 Jakarta with classroom action research (PTK). Based on the results of data analysis by looking at the results of the teaching-learning process, there was an increase in the ability to write paragraphs for aspects of unity, integration, development, as well as spelling and punctuation carried out by teachers from cycle I (78.31%) to cycle II (87.27%) with average of 13.46%. In addition, the evaluation obtained from each cycle also experienced increase of 35.13% in cycle II from Cycle I.Keywords: Pharagraps Writing skills; Peer Teaching Method; Classroom Action Research

Students are less interesting in religious lessons. This is not only experienced by elementary school students until senior high school students, but also felt by Islamic elementary school students until Islamic senior high school students. this has an impact on the religious quality of society that declines compared to the previous era.Especially compared to the time of the Prophet `. Many factors influence it. One of them is suspected due to the fact that the teaching method is less interesting. To offer a solution to this factor, it is worth a look back the ways of the Prophet in educating his friends. Furthermore, the methods are contextualized in modern education. It can not be separated from the adaptation and modification of these methods. In this paper will be presented a track record of educational methods of the Prophet` and that relenvance with modern educational methods.
