Film is one of the effective and popular media in cultural learning, both local and foreign cultures. The film that is used as the object of research by the researcher is the film 'Marak: Mresani Panji Sekar'”. This film becomes an interesting study material because it explains the Javanese culture of the courtiers of the Yogyakarta Palace who will focus more on culture in the film. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. Analyzing cultural values by means of observation and study of documents in films in an effort to gain an overview and understanding of what is being studied. The values obtained are in the form of many values contained in it, namely the values of honor, trust, politeness, responsibility, and art. Describe the Javanese values of the Yogyakarta Palace which are shown in the film 'Marak: Mresani Panji Sekar' and reveal and understand the meaning contained in these traditional values.Keywords: Film, Values, Javanese Cultural

The purpose of this study is to describe the kind of grammatical and lexical cohesion that used in education articles written by Syarifudin Yunus. The method that used in this study is qualitative descriptive method. Data source that used in this study are 24 education articles written by Syarifudin Yunus at Kompasiana.com web page in 2019 until 2020 year range. Technic that used in this study is basic technique of agih method or also called the BUL technique (For Direct Elements). The results of this study showed that there are four aspects of grammatical cohesions. The finding percentage of grammatical cohesion of this study are 54.4% conjunctions aspect, 35.4% references aspect, 6.1% substitutions aspect, and 4.1% ellipsis aspect. Besides, there are six lexical cohesion that found in this study. The percentage of lexical cohesions in this study are 63.5% repetition aspects, 14% equivalency aspects, 8.8% collocation aspects, 7.2% synonym aspects, 3.8% hyponyim aspects, and 2.7% antonym aspects. This study can be implicated for Indonesian language learning at junior high school and senior high school.Keywords: Grammatical cohesion; lexical cohesion; discourse.

Civil Servant in Indonesia (ASN) has a bad stigma in society. This could decrease the level of public trust in ASN as well as the confidence level of young ASN for their profession. Based on these problems, various movement communities which called themselves as young ASNs were formed, one of which was the Abdimuda Indonesia (@abdimuda_id). As a movement community, Abdimuda Indonesia formed as a medium for young ASN from all regions in Indonesia to jointly develop themselves and maintain positive idealism in order to break down the negative stigma of ASN that already exists. Through Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and Barthes' semiotic analysis, this qualitative study wanted to analize the text cracks which formed from framing alignment behind the discourse of ASN in @abdimuda_id. The results indicate that contents uploaded by @abdimuda_id has a tendency to reflect positive values related to ASN which used by Abdimuda Indonesia to do social change and transforming the negative stigma of ASN into a better image.Keywords: Movement community, framing alignment, critical discourse analysis, semiotics, Abdimuda Indonesia

The rapid increase of technology has transformed the praxis of language education and linked to the construct of autonomy learning. It is believed that the great technology accommodated the language learners to achieve their goals and aims. However, this statement is still debatable in language instruction. Given the previous consideration, the purpose of this study was to explore by reviewing 23 articles focusing on the autonomy learning issues that scholars or researchers discussed in their papers. The used research method in this manuscript was a systematic review. This study investigated six prior subheadings: the change number varies by year, the foci and purposes, countries where the articles were published, the applied research methods and data collection tools, the occupied sample group, sample size, and the adopted method theoretical frameworks and dimensions. The data collection was taken by categorizing the six subheadings and analyzing them by presenting bar graphics, figure maps, and tables. The study revealed various insights related to autonomy learning, such as still in the recent trending issue, applicable in multiple approaches, potentially in the sundry of theoretical frameworks, elaborating in numerous dimensions, with ample applied research methods, and so forth. In addition, the implication of this study considerably can be useful for the freshmen or sophomore researchers to gain state of the art or novelty before conducting research or publishing papers specifically on the topic of autonomy learning in the praxis of language education.Keywords: Autonomy Learning; Language Education; Systematic Review

The purpose of this study is to analyze the critical discourse of Teun A. Van Dijk's model in the Narasi Mata Najwa program. The Narasi Mata Najwa program is a strategic forum for social groups, community groups to appear and discuss the discourses presented. The Narasi Mata Najwa program often invites figures from various circles of society, both from government figures and political figures. The Narasi Mata Najwa event is a discourse formation practice. Discourse refers to social activities that take place from various backgrounds in which the language unit appears. Critical discourse analysis using Van Dijk's model includes three aspects, namely macro structure, super structure, and microstructure. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. The results of this research from Van Dijk's model examines the discourse that is used as a suggestion for opinion formation through word choice, sentence structure, and appropriate language style.Keywords: critical discourse analysis, Narasi Mata Najwa, community response

Program evaluation is a form of mechanism used to review program processes that have been implemented over a certain period of time. The review is intended to understand, explore, and correct deficiencies in the program itself. This study was evaluation research using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product) developed by Stufflebeam. The evaluation subjects were organizer of MGMP, instructors and principal in SMAN 11, Bekasi. The evaluation was conduted in SMAN 11, Bekasi. The data obtained are presented in descriptive qualitative form. Interview, observation, and documentation were utilized as instruments to collect the data. The results of this evaluation reveal that the dimensions of MGMP program planning are generally quite good in terms of the specified context aspect criteria. The dimensions of human resource capacity in implementating the MGMP program have not been optimal in running the program based on the specified input aspect criteria. The dimension of the implementation of the MGMP program have not met all the elements of the process aspect criteria. The dimension of achievement of the MGMP program in improving professionalism of Indonesian language teachers at SMAN 11, Bekasi have been achieved based on the success indicators that have been determined in product aspect.Keywords: MGMP, Program Evaluation, CIPP.

This study aims to determine the didactic value and cultural value of the expression of prohibition used by the Minangkabau community in Nagari Biaro Gadang, Agam Regency, West Sumatra. This research method used descriptive qualitative method and was carried out in three stages, such as data collection, data classification, and data analysis stages. The data was collected by observing, interviewing, recording, and taking notes on the utterances conveyed by the informants. Classification of data was done by collecting forbidden expressions. Prohibition expressions are analyzed by using a hermeneutic approach to find out the meaning of the existing prohibition expressions. Analyzing data by transcribing the results of interviews, translating into Indonesian, grouping prohibition expressions based on didactic values consisting of religious education values, moral education values, and social education values and cultural values in forbidden expressions. The result of the research shows didactic values, which consist of religious education, moral education, and social education. In addition, in the expression of the prohibition of the Minangkabau people of Nagari Biaro Gadang, cultural values are also found. The conclusion of this research is that each prohibition expression had its own didactic and cultural values.Keywords: Prohibition Phrases, Didactic and Cultural Values, Minangkabau Cultures.

The purpose of this research: (1) to know the effectiveness of zoom meeting application on the ability to write anecdotes. (2) to know the influence of comedy film media on the ability to write anecdotes. (3) to know the influence if the interaction of zoom meeting application and comedy film media together on the ability to write anecdotes. The research is a quantitative with the type used is experimental study using a 2x2 factorial design. This design used to examine two independent variables (zoom meeting application and Comedy Film Media) against one dependent variable (writing anecdotes) with the help of SPSS version 16 for windows application. The sample of the research as many as 40 students and take a sample random technique. Data collection was done by means of a student's writing ability test. The findings of the researcher indicate that: (1) there is a significant influence of students using the zoom meeting application on the ability to write anecdotes, with the acquisition value F0 = 5,415 and sig. = 0,026 ≤ 0,05; (2) there is a significant of students using the comedy film media on the ability to write anecdotes, with the acquisition value 11.094 and sig. = 0,02 ≤ 0,05; (3) there is no significant effect of the zoom meeting application and comedy film media on students’ anecdotes writing skills, with the acquisition value F0 = 1.518 and sig. = 0,226 ≥ 0,05.Keywords: Zoom Meeting Aplication, Comedy Film, Writing Ability

The achievement of the learning process results can be measured by the teacher by using the test as one of the benchmarks. The test is given by the teacher to students as one of the evaluation tools, in accordance with basic competencies and also indicators of achievement of learning outcomes. Thus, the teacher must really ensure that the questions or tests being tested are of high quality and can map the actual abilities of students. The purpose of this paper is to identify and describe the quality of school exam questions in Indonesian subjects in terms of material, construction, and language aspects. The data used is in the form of a package of test questions (try out) for the elementary school level exams in 2020. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the quality of the 2019/2020 elementary school test test questions in Indonesian subjects in terms of material, construction, and language aspects still needs to be improved, especially in the language and material aspects. The language aspect in question includes spelling, punctuation, and letter writing. The language aspect in question includes spelling, punctuation, and letter writing. Cohesion is very important in a discourse to combine sentences and between sentences. One of the elements that can be used as a measure of a discourse is cohesive or cannot be seen from the use of cohesion. The short story entitled Nasi Aking for Presidential Candidates by Manaf Maulana was chosen as the object of research because the text uses a lot of cohesion markers, both lexical and grammatical, so it is necessary to identify what types of cohesion exist. The results of the research will be used as a medium for learning discourse. The approach used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data source used is a short story with the title Nasi Aking for Presidential Candidates by Manaf Maulana. The research data are discourse texts which allegedly apply a certain type of cohesion. The technique used to collect data is the listening and note-taking technique. Data analysis in this study used the agih method. The results of this study show that there are several types of cohesion, such as lexical cohesion including reiteration and collocation, while grammatical cohesion includes conjunctions, substitutions, ellipsis, and references. Based on the description of the recapitulation table of the analysis of the entire paragraph, the most data that has been found from 25 sentence pairs in the short story "Nasi Aking for Presidential Candidates" by Manaf Maulana which was obtained from NOVA magazine edition: 1370/XXVII May 26 - June 2014 is, lexical cohesion which has relationship of repetition repetition of repetition is the same as exact.Keywords: Wacana, Lexical and Grammatical Cohesion, Short Stories, Learning Media
