The Future of Computer-Mediated Briefing

The brief is often considered an outdated document that limits design creativity and freedom. However, in the framework of comprehensive computerization, the brief as an information system becomes an integral part of architectural decision taking. This agrees not only with possible emerging architectural roles and services but also with established trends in computerization and information processing. The chapter is a succinct look into the future development of the architectural brief within these trends and services.

The article deals with the study of southern German dialects and their genetic connections with modern German. The article focuses on the analysis of linguistic features of southern German dialects: phonetic, lexical, grammatical and their comparison with Standardsprache. By the example of the development of southern German dialects and their interaction with Standardsprache, it is concluded that the German language, based on the laws of linguosynergy, is a complex open information system that is constantly evolving while saving data on its past states. The totality of knowledge of the past and present makes it possible to identify the prospects for the future development of the system. The results of the research give reasons to predict further changes in the modern German language at all its levels – phonetic, linguistic, grammatical – taking into account various dialectological features that are introduced into the German language system. The received knowledge is of particular importance for studying and teaching the history of the German language, introduction to German philology, dialectology, as well as practical course of the German language.

Under the background of the popularization and application of computers in various fields, the amount of diversified data has been greatly increased, which also means that the era of big data is gradually coming. At the same time, various signal equipment and sensor equipment are widely used in various fields. People from the perspective of big data expect to collect, analyze and process the signal data by means of big data. However, due to the diversity of signal data and the huge and complex amount of data, the future development trend of signal from the perspective of big data is the information fusion of signal data. Therefore, it is necessary to explore signal processing from the perspective of big data. With the application of signal processing technology, the efficiency and quality of information processing can be improved gradually.

This paper, first presented on 21 October 1995 at ajoint seminar ofthe Scottish Law Commission and the Faculty of Law, University of Edinburgh, on the subject of breach of contract, considers the future development of the law in this area, first by considering its history and current state in comparative terms and drawing the conclusion that it is characterised by a mixture of Civilian and Common Law elements; second, by comparing Scots law with the provisions on breach contained in recently published proposals for a harmonised law of contract (the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts, the Principles of European Contract Law prepared by the Lando Commission, and the draft “code”for the United Kingdom prepared on behalf of the English Law Commission by Harvey McGregor in the late 1960s) and in international conventions on the sale of goods. Although Scots law emerges reasonably wellfrom this exercise, there are a number of points to be taken on board in any future reform, as well as some insights into important underlying principles.
