Companies have to deter many remarkable problems on a daily basis. The existence of excess inventories and stock out events as well the usage of emergency deliveries are three indicative prominent subjects for discussion. Firms try to comprehend the consumer's desires in order to enhance costumer experience. In the current chapter, sales data of one tangible product from a well-known Greek retailing company are used. These data are analyzed in order to forecast the behavior of the demand. The author adapts an alternative approach for managing inventory during cycles with different levels of demand in order to develop a system that minimizes both excessive inventories and stock out events. Additional experiments take place regarding the parameterization of emergency deliveries in order to configure whether their usage is beneficial. Both an error analysis model and a simulation model are developed so as to determine the results of the aforementioned action.

DC bias widely exists in power system. In order to analyze its influence on metering current transformer (MCT), a new digital simulation model based on Preisach theory is constructed firstly. Using this digital model, the ratio error and angle error of a running MCT are calculated under different levels of DC bias. Simulation results show that the current DC bias in power system has only little influence on the error of MCT.

The heating in the running-in process of wet friction clutch is the key to research in this kind of products. In this paper, based on the shifting clutch composed of metal and paper-based friction liner, using MATLAB/SIMULINK software, the simulation model of friction clutch and the analysis model of conducting heat were established. Thus, the corresponding relationships were obtained, which were the total friction power and clutch temperature variation with the time during the running-in process. According to the simulation results, the main influencing factors on temperature control of wet friction clutch were analyzed during running-in process, and the results could provide reference for reasonable temperature rise control for the clutch.

This paper analyses multi influencing factors of energy demand, using energy demand forecast regression model reveals inner relations between each factor and energy demand. Establish simulation model of the relation between GDP, energy intense and energy demand. Under the change in population, urbanization and energy efficiency, this paper gives analysis model of energy demand change.

In solid geometry needed the ability to visualize space that cannot be seen so differences in visual intelligence can trigger errors in solving geometry problems. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the types of errors made by students and the factors that cause errors in working on geometry problems based on Newman's Error Analysis (NEA) in terms of visual intelligence. This research chose the subjects of class XII high school who had studied the material distance points to lines in space with different levels of visual intelligence, namely high and low. The process of collecting data used visual intelligence test questions, geometry test questions, and interviews. The results of this study indicated that the level of students' visual intelligence affects the difference in location and the factor that causes errors in the stage of transformation especially on determining the distance in dimension 3. Students with high visual intelligence made mistakes at the stage of transformation and encoding that caused by the students’ carelessness. However, students with low visual intelligence made mistakes at the stage of comprehension, transformation, process skills, and encoding due to the concept of the point distance to the line and the concept of the Pythagorean theorem.

The objective of this work was to evaluate the production costs and profitability indexes of sorghum crop for silage production under different irrigation depths. The work was conducted at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE) – Umirim Campus, from September to December 2016. The treatments were arranged in 5 x 5 split plots with 5 replications. Irrigations were performed on a daily basis, and the applied depths were calculated based on crop evapotranspiration (ETc). The primary treatments were 50, 75, 100, 125 and 150% of ETc, associated with different levels of carnauba bagana mulch (0.00, 2.50, 3.75, 5.00, and 6.25 cm). Effective Operating Cost (EOC), Total Operating Cost (TOC), Gross Revenue (GR), Operating Profit (OP), Profitability Index (PI) and Break-Even Price (BEP) were estimated. According to the indicators analyzed, it was found that this is a promising crop within the different agricultural production schools, with favorable rates for the producer. The variety evaluated presents high resistance as to the water limitation factor, showing positive indicators such as break-even point below the average prices practiced in the region.
