In this paper, we checked the mechanical response of a simple frame structure with and without the existence of interval parameters taken into account. Discovered the differences between the traditional analysis methods of the structure and the analysis methods with the range of parameters taken into account. Gave their own ideas about the mechanical response of the frame structure considering the uncertainties, and provides a reference method for the accurate calculation of the actual structure considering the range of parameters.

With the constant increasing of traffic flow and axle load, the early failure of semi-rigid base asphalt pavement is increasingly serious in China. The bad durability and short service life of pavement have become main obstacles in road construction development. Based on the experience of successful application, the early failure of semi-rigid base asphalt pavement is solved, and the service life of pavement is increased by using of the composite asphalt pavement. To solve the design problem of the composite asphalt pavement , its mechanical properties influence results of are obtained by the factors, such as shear strain, shear stress, compression strain on top of subgrade, etc, by a lot of calculation using Shell pavement design software. These provide theoretical basis for durable asphalt pavement design based on rut-resistance property.

Dose-response studies are an important tool in weed science. The use of such studies has become especially prevalent following the widespread development of herbicide resistant weeds. In the past, analyses of dose-response studies have utilized various types of transformations and equations which can be validated with several statistical techniques. Most dose-response analysis methods 1) do not accurately describe data at the extremes of doses and 2) do not provide a proper statistical test for the difference(s) between two or more dose-response curves. Consequently, results of dose-response studies are analyzed and reported in a great variety of ways, and comparison of results among various researchers is not possible. The objective of this paper is to review the principles involved in dose-response research and explain the log-logistic analysis of herbicide dose-response relationships. In this paper the log-logistic model is illustrated using a nonlinear computer analysis of experimental data. The log-logistic model is an appropriate method for analyzing most dose-response studies. This model has been used widely and successfully in weed science for many years in Europe. The log-logistic model possesses several clear advantages over other analysis methods and the authors suggest that it should be widely adopted as a standard herbicide dose-response analysis method.

For the complex features in the form of a flat L-shaped reinforced concrete frame structure, the three dimensional FEM model of the structure was established in this paper, and the dynamic characteristics of the structure was analyzed, the participation equivalent mass of every mode’s order was obtained. Seismic response analysis for the structure was carried out with modal decomposition spectrum method and time history analysis method, the weak layer of the structure was pointed out and the reference for the structural design was provided.

Since Japan is limited in area, the effective ocean space development is very important and urgent subject. Concerning a research and development of effective ocean space utilization, the MEGA-FLOAT was one of the most famous projects in Japan that had the purpose of a floating airport construction, and the numerous R & D were conducted aiming at actual construction and those results were reported in respect of conceptual design, construction method, fluid analysis, structural dynamic analysis, environment issue etc. However, the end was faced without achieving it, it can be said that the effect is large. After the end of that project, the realistic, small or medium size structure began to be paid to attention. As the good example of such a kind floating structure, floating pier and disaster prevention base having an advantage against an earthquake, floating restaurant etc. were constructed shown in Figure 1. In this paper, assuming the small size floating restaurant, the wave response analysis was studied, and the habitability of that structure was evaluated from the response calculation results. Concretely, the floating base part; barge type of the restaurant building was designed by the Class NK (Rules and Guidance for the survey and construction of steel ships, Part Q Steel barges). The calculation model consists of a three-story building and the base, that floating artificial base supporting the building was assumed by the elastic plate structural system, and also that building was of the frame structure system. In order to structural analysis, the restaurant model of two different structural systems was united into one body system. In this paper, it is called the hybrid structural system. Fluid effect was analyzed as the fluid-structural interaction problem. Concretely, the Boundary Integral Equation Method (BIEM) was used here, and the wave response calculation was demonstrated by that forces. The evaluation of habitability of the restaurant in vertical and horizontal motion was examined by the diagram proposed from our research results.
