Multiple urban projects constructed at same time block many roads, which increases the difficulty for traffic organization. Considering the characteristics of multiple projects, took construction method, construction procedure, land development, traffic environment and traffic flow into account, this paper proposes a workflow for traffic organization, recommends building temporary road and reconstructing branch road to undertake all the traffic from blocked roads. Selecting Jiangcheng Avenue complex project as a case, four methods were put forward for keeping traffic uninterrupted during construction with different temporary road route designs and traffic management measures.

The JinYu New Field Project is designed to build a large-scale center integrating business, culture, commerce, leisure and entertainment in the emerging development area in the south of Hohhot in the future. After three years of design and construction, the project begins to take shape. Through deep analysis of the commercial form, commercial space, land and traffic organization, fire performance of the commercial building and design difficulties of JinYu New Field Project, this paper summarizes the key points and difficulties of the commercial complex project in the design practice, and proposes the thinking on future development of the commercial complex in China.

The article discusses the issues and results of the use of statistical modeling (one of the types of simulation modeling, the so-called "Monte Carlo" method), to assess the effectiveness of traffic management on the example of the Timofey Charkov st. and Verkhnetarmanskaya st. intersection, located in the city of Tyumen. The results are based on the length of the vehicle queue and traffic delay time for one car in the scenario of widening the intersection’s carriageway and/or the implementation of the adaptive regulation for traffic flows. The calculations were carried out in the "SmartAdaptive+" program developed by the authors, and designed for a technical and economic assessment of the effectiveness of traffic management measures and the use of adaptive regulation and measures to change the road network nodes configuration.

The object of the study is the improvement of traffic management on the main street and road network of the city. Actually, there are many techniques that allow simulating the traffic flows with sufficient accuracy. One of such models is a mathematical model, which allows calculating the main characteristics of a traffic flow on the basis of a few initial data and is considered as a queuing system.Modeling allows pre-determining the impact of traffic management measures on the existing street and road network without creating interference for drivers, making changes to the design of road, increasing the traffic volume, as well as involving the possible overloaded areas. An analysis of the researches of scientists who have considered similar methods in their works had been performed. The fundamental flaw of the mentioned works is that in none of them the study of the model of a real road section was performed for verifying of the model adequacy. Modeling allows understanding more accurately the behavior of an object with less approximations than mathematical models, and provides less researching and forecasting of the system behavior with significant changes in the initial concepts. It is indicated that for the first approximation it is expedient to use mathematical models, and for clarifying the characteristics – to use non- mathematical methods, in particular, simulation. It is proved that simulation is a powerful tool for studying the behavior of real systems. It is mainly used to study situations and systems that can be described as queuing systems.Using the queuing theory, it becomes possible to perform certain calculations and determine indicators of effectiveness of the queuing system.Obtained result of the indicators will help to determine the street and road network areas where a traffic jam may form for any reason, where the road will be overloaded. This makes it possible to develop a high-quality algorithm for quick elimination of traffic jam.

Traffic problems in the urban areas are increasing at a rapid rate. Engineers, planners or the policymakers are having a tough time in dealing with their multiple constraints for getting the desired solution. Some of the main transportation planning problems are mixed traffic plying on the roads, inadequate parking areas, increasing number of vehicles and road users, the unbalanced pattern of land use with obsolete road system, increasing number of road facilities and environmental pollution. Since in India most of the cities are unplanned, we are only left with an option management of existing infrastructure. In this paper, one such case study is presented in which a detailed traffic management for the city of Dharwad is carried out.

Air traffic management measures comprise tactical operating procedures to minimize delay costs and strategic scheduling interventions to control overcapacity scheduling. Although interdependent, these problems have been treated in isolation. This paper proposes an integrated model of scheduling and operations in airport networks that jointly optimizes scheduling interventions and ground-holding operations across airports networks under operating uncertainty. It is formulated as a two-stage stochastic program with integer recourse. To solve it, we develop an original decomposition algorithm with provable solution quality guarantees. The algorithm relies on new optimality cuts—dual integer cuts—that leverage the reduced costs of the dual linear programming relaxation of the second-stage problem. The algorithm also incorporates neighborhood constraints, which shift from exploration to exploitation at later stages. We also use a scenario generation approach to construct representative scenarios from historical records of operations—using integer programming. Computational experiments show that our algorithm yields near-optimal solutions for the entire U.S. National Airspace System network. Ultimately, the proposed approach enhances airport demand management models through scale integration (by capturing network-wide interdependencies) and scope integration (by capturing interdependencies between scheduling and operations).

The left-turning traffic forbiddance measure is an important mode of traffic organization of intersection, but the traffic management departments are puzzled by the implementation condition, implementation method and efficiency evaluation. The traffic impact analysis of left-turning traffic flows and the advantages of left-turning traffic forbiddance measure is analyzed in paper, then the implementation flows is summarized. The implementation condition and method are determined, and the average delay of intersections in the whole region are chosen as the evaluation index of operation efficiency of the left-turning traffic forbiddance measure. So the calculation method of efficiency between pre and post adopted the left-turning traffic forbiddance measure is proposed. The intersections of business district in City Hengyang is chosen as example for verifying the implementation method of left-turning traffic forbiddance, and the efficiency between pre and post adopted the left-turning traffic forbiddance measure is comparatively analyzed and the VISSIM simulation software is applied for verifying the effect of the left-turning traffic forbiddance measure.
