In order to achieve better image segmentation and evaluate the segmentation algorithm, a segmentation method based on 2-D maximum entropy and improved genetic algorithm is proposed in this paper, and the ultimate measurement accuracy criterion is adopted to evaluate the performance of the algorithm. The experimental results and the evaluation results show that segmentation results and performance of the proposed algorithm are both better than the segmentation method based on 2-D maximum entropy method and the standard genetic algorithm. The segmentation of the proposed algorithm is complete and spends less time; it is an effective method for image segmentation.

Image segmentation is an important means of the implementation of image analysis. The existing segmentation methods have their own advantages and disadvantages in segmentation time and segmentation effect. Image segmentation based on fuzzy clustering and genetic algorithm is studied. An adaptive genetic algorithm is improved, the crossover rate and mutation rate are optimized, and a new adaptive operator is adopted to achieve a non-linear adaptive adjustment. A new combined image segmentation means is presented, in which the genetic algorithm is adopted to optimize the initial cluster center and then the fuzzy clustering is used for image segmentation. The practice proves that this image segmentation method and algorithm is superior to the traditional one, which improves the segmentation performance and the segmentation effect.

In order to improve the effectiveness and accuracy of image processing in modern medical inspection, a segmentation image optimization algorithm of improved two-dimensional maximum entropy threshold based on genetic algorithm combined with mathematical morphology is proposed, in view of the microscopic cell images characteristic and the shortcomings of the traditional segmentation algorithm. Through theoretical analysis and contrast test, the segmentation method proposed is superior to the traditional threshold segmentation method in microscopic cell images, and the average segmentation time of the improved algorithm is 73% and 44% higher than the traditional two-dimensional maximum entropy threshold and the improved two-dimensional maximum entropy threshold.

Crop disease leaf image segmentation is a key step in crop disease recognition. In the paper, a segmentation method of crop disease leaf image is proposed to segment leaf image with non-uniform illumination based on maximum entropy and genetic algorithm (GA). The information entropy is regarded as the fitness function of GA, the maximum entropy as convergence criterion of GA. After genetic operation, the optimal threshold is obtained to segment the image of disease leaf. The experimental results of the maize disease leaf image show that the proposed method can select the threshold automatically and efficiently, and has an advantage over the other three algorithms, and also can reserve the main spot features of the original disease leaf image.

Image segmentation is a crucial topic in image analysis and understanding, and the foundation of target detection and recognition. Image segmentation, essentially, can be considered as classifying the image according to the consistency of the region and the inconsistency between regions, it is widely used in medical and criminal investigation, cultural relic identification, monitoring and so forth. There are two outstanding common problems in the existing segmentation algorithm, one is the lack of accuracy, and the other is that it is not widely applicable. The main contribution of this paper is to present a novel segmentation method based on the information entropy theory and multi-scale transform contour constraint. Firstly, the target contour is initially obtained by means of a multi-scale sample top-hat and bottom-hat transform and an improved watershed method. Subsequently, in terms of this initial contour, the interesting areas can be finely segmented out with an innovative 3D flow entropy method. Finally, the sufficient synthetic and real experiments proved that the proposed algorithm can greatly improve the segmentation effect. In addition, it is widely applicable.

Automation strain measurement of the sheet metal deforming becomes one of the important application fields of computer vision. The algorithm of image segmentation based on adaptability threshold was presented for image segmentation of metal steel. In order to validate the proposed method, it is tested and compared with Ostu method and the one-dimensional maximum entropy method. Experiment results indicate that the method is simple and effective, and has an advantage of reservation of the main features of the original image.
