In order to study the starting speed athletes sprint speed ,the paper design a distributed monitoring system. System sample data of speed by micro-controller and peripheral circuits , data of test point speed transmit to the PC through the RS 485 bus,programmed using LabVIEW software on the PC side realize data storage of detection each point speed, processing, display and remote monitoring. The micro-controller and virtual instrument technology combined with the application, to overcome the conventional athletes speed detection shortcomings of the prevailing and difficult to remote observations. Experimental results show that the system is low cost, high accuracy, stable and reliable operation.

This paper puts forward a method to control the industrial robots based on the NI Corporations LabVIEW virtual instrument technology. By designing the communication protocol between the LabVIEW software program on PC and industrial robots, the LabVIEW program can take the control of industrial robots by using RS232 serial ports, including the operation instructions' transmission, the feedback of the robots' running, and the data exchange between the two. The result shows that can effectively realize the motion control of industrial robots based on LabVIEW.

By utilized VISA functions provided by LabVIEW, we can easily and successfully realize the serial communication between cardiechema senor and monitoring system, as well as collected data written into and read from Access through database functions. The perfect combination between the internet technology and the virtual instrument has provided a promising platform for the realization of the virtual instrument networking. This paper mainly introduces the construction of phonocardiogram monitoring system which has some functions such as real-time monitoring, data storage, signal preprocessing, playback, characteristic signal extraction, remote monitoring and so on.

The introduction of the virtual instrument technology provides new ideas for the developments of the temperature acquisition. This paper presents the design of temperature acquisition system based on VI technology. This system takes LABVIEW as the software development platform, simulating environmental temperature parameters via temperature sensors and heaters. Through the USB-6009 data collecting cards environmental temperature is sent to LABVIEW software platform for analysis. The system has the functions of data acquisition, display, storage, callback, save, analysis, printing statements and limit alarm processing and so on, and completes the real-time collection and analysis of the temperature.

The paper established the whole system for stress monitoring and safety assessment of metal structure aimed at kinds of cranes, based on LabVIEW software platform. Introduced function and composition of each subsystem in detail. The system consists of data acquisition, signal analysis and processing, data storage, historical data inquiry, safety assessment, critical security warning and estimation of fatigue life. The system adopted the wireless transmission method at the same time. As a result, feasibility of the system was proved by the case applied and it offered a convenient method for monitoring. The successful application of stress monitoring and safety assessment in the metal construction of large crane equipment makes foundation for its application in projects, which has great practical value.

For the need of multi-channel simultaneous sampling in the modeling and identification of power system, a portable data acquisition system is introduced. It can sample multi-channel data simultaneously, and also have a mass data storage. The system is composed of data acquisition card and PC processing software. The C8051F410 MCU is the core of the data acquisition unit card. It not only provides multi-channel synchronous sampling, large storage capacity, easy to carry and low cost, but also can run offline, and bidirectional interaction with PC software. The data processing software is programmed by Visual Basic6.0. Its main function is sending sample orders and the sample data processing. It can store and process the sample data, also it can set the sampling parameters of the card. Through actual verification, the system is easy to use and meets the precision of requirement.

Virtual Instrument Technology represents the future direction of development of the instrument. At present, it is very popular that Virtual instrument is applied to test technology experiment in developed countries. The virtual integrated experimental platform of testing technology was designed based on the LabVIEW software, including signal generator, signal superimposed meter, digital filters, signal spectrum analyzer, noise signal detection and analysis system. The comprehensive experimental platform can replace the traditional equipment and can easily extend its functionality. It can provide students with a virtual integrated experimental platform.

In this paper, we used Lab VIEW development platform, designed a virtual signal acquisition and analysis system based on the soundcard. In addition we studied the signal acquisition performance of it. This system has functions of signal acquisition, analysis, waveform display and storage. It is easy to use with good interface, and function appending is available on user requirement. It offers a kind of DAQ solution with low cost. It has broad application prospect, can be extended to the field of speech recognition, ambient noise monitoring and laboratory measurement etc.

In the development and test of engine ECU, HIL is used widely .ECU needs a lot of drive signals in order to ensure HIL can work normally. Mixing programme based virtual instrument technology and Matlab / Simulink model realized engine signal simulation to provide drive signals for ECU. Meanwhile, NI PXI boards which output analog signal were used as hardware devices in the paper and LabVIEW software were adopted to drive boards and process analog signal, achieving accurate simulating signal on engine excitation signal. The results for test show that the system is able to simulate exciting signal for the engine ECU accurately, provides a low-cost, low pollution, high efficiency way to test and develop engine and its ECU and increase security and reliability of test system.

Ethernet based on TCP/IP is a standard open network, which promotes the development of data acquisition in the direction of network. Data acquisition and processing systems connected by Ethernet make the data acquisition terminals (lower computer) and processing control center (upper computer) from integrated to discrete. Separate data acquisition terminals can realize miniaturization and modularization and increase the flexibility of the application. A new type, low cost, high precision data acquisition terminal based on ARM processor was designed for solving the problem of complicated structure, big volume and high cost of traditional data acquisition system. Combined with the technologies of network communication, a data acquisition PC system based on virtual instrument technology was designed by LabVIEW.
