Full-automatic hydraulic press is widely used in ceramic industry for pressing the adobe of all kinds of specific ceramic tiles, so it is also referred to as ceramic press. The upper beam is one of the most critical stressed members of the ceramic press. The paper took 21MN ceramic press as the research object, completed the finite element static analysis of its upper beam. First established the three-dimensional model of the beam by CAD software Pro/ENGINEER, and then imported the model into CAE software ANSYS and analyzed the stress and strain distribution in detail. The results can provide some useful reference for ceramic press design and optimization.

Using the mechanical design of the software Solid works to established the 280 t LF the ladle furnace transportation car frame three dimensional model, and by using the finite element analysis of software Cosmos/works to static analysis for the frames, revealing that the frame of structure stress and strain distribution map of the frame, and also reveals that dangerous points and dangerous sections. Using resistance strain gauge to measure 280 t ladle transportation car frame, it is concluded that the frame of stress and strain distributions. Through the electrical measurement test the results were compared with finite element analysis results, further proof that the finite element analysis of the accuracy of the results provides theory basis for the optimization design of the frames.

Structural design and optimization of 200 liters large material barrels with Double L-ring are studied, Stacking stress analysis and optimization analysis in SolidWorks Simulation Finite Element Analysis plug-in three-dimensional model of the material barrel, Plug-in of Finite Element Analysis SolidWorks simulation is used to get the result of analysis for stacking stress, optimization and dropping test. Stress contours, strain contours, the stress data of optimization are obtained by function of static analysis and optimization. The result of analysis is very close to the results of the theoretical calculations. It shows that the optimization design to improve product quality and efficiency has a very important theoretical and practical value.

Three-dimensional integrated modeling method and the numerical simulation of elastoplastic finite element are adopted in the paper. The mechanical response of the five holes anchorage is analyzed in certain prestressed state. The stress and strain distribution information of the anchor ring, clip and steel strand is obtained respectively, and the structure safety is discussed by investigating on the maximum stress and strain.

Millions in the world suffering diabetes mellitus depends on insulin therapy to control their blood glucose level daily. However, the painful daily injections they need to take could lead to other complications if it is not done correctly. To date, it is suggested by many researchers and medical doctors that the needles should be inserted at any angles of 90º or 45º. Nevertheless, this recommendation has not been supported by clinical or biomechanical evaluation. Hence, this study evaluates the needle insertion for insulin therapy to find the favourable angles in order to reduce injury and pain onto the skin. Finite element analysis was done by  simulating the injection of three-dimensional (3D) needle model into a 3D skin model. The insertions were simulated at two different angles, which are 45ºand 90º with two different lengths of needles; 4 mm and 6 mm. This study concluded the favourable angle for 4 mm needle to be 90º while 6 mm needle was best to be inserted at 45º as these angles exerted the least maximum stress and strain onto the skin.

This article treats the pile driving as multi-body dynamic contacts. By using the penalty function method and three-dimensional model of finite-element method, the dynamic process of pile driving is acquired and a method for choosing the cushion material of the hydraulic pile hammer to improve driving efficiency is proposed. The process of pile driving in the real situation of an industrial experiment is simulated. The results of stress on test point are consistent with the test point. By analysing the stress distributed along the direction of pile radius and pile axis, the rule of the stress distribution on the pile is concluded. The rule for cushion material choice is obtained by comparing the influence for the impact stress with different elastic modulus ratio of the hammer cushion to the pile and the pile cushion to the pile.

In the condition of alternating impact ,the nut-supports subassembly is analyzed according to uncertainty of design parameters. Firstly, a three-dimensional (3-D) finite element (FE) model of the nut-supports subassembly is built and is meshed, and the constraints and loads are imposed.Secondly, the model of nut-supports was assembled using the software ANSYS to understand the stress distribution and various parts of the deformation of the nut-supports and its weak links in the harmonic forces. Finally, socket head cap screw has not enough pre-load in the condition of alternating impact and will be simplified. It is analyzed and checked whether it is cut or not; which provides the reference data for design and optimization of the wave maker.

A finite element approach based on Ansys is developed to simulate stress intensity distribution in a three dimensional model of coupling clamp joint, which includes ferrules, pipe caps and bolts. The characteristics of stress intensity distributions of coupling clamp joint under strength pressure loading have been studied by means of the non-linear finite element method. The FE model can also predict the clamp quality and tolerances to be expected under different process conditions and define the most effective process parameters to influence the tolerances. The study could give us a better understanding on the mechanism and basis for optimization design of the coupling clamp joint.
